Rowena enjoys making up circumstances in which two people are forced to confront their feelings—sexual and otherwise—to the object of their desire, feelings they have been hiding or running from because of a major barrier or conflict of interest. Usually, her characters have known each other for quite a while, so their first sexual encounter has been a long time…coming.
But she also writes about strangers getting to know each other very quickly!
Most of her stories have high-stakes events and/or a moral or psychological thrill.

This step-brother storyline was okay. Emma and Danny have a one night stand only to find out later that their parent is marrying the other's. Liked the characters. Negative: Everything fell into place too easy for them.

Emma thought she would hit the town and see what kind of trouble she could get into on her own. Even though all the guys were checking her out she wasn't finding anyone that interested her. Then Danny whispers in her ear and she is immediately turned on. She is blunt and to the point about what she wants. Now they are off to her apartment. No real names are shared just a hot passionate night. When he leaves in the morning she still isn't sure of who he is.
Now she has to visit her father and be introduced to his new fiance'. When Daisy shows Emma a picture of her son she just about chokes when she realizes it was the guy she had a one night stand with. When they meet again she knows who he is but he has no idea that she is his future step sister. When he realizes their relationship it doesn't stop their attraction. They tear each others close off and go at it. Then they decide they shouldn't pursue anything. Feelings can't be denied. How will their parents react to their being together?

I loved this book Emma/Cara was awesome I felt bad that her Mom died not knowing what an awesome woman she turned out to be also loved the cute nicknames they were given Dandelion for Emma and slingshot for Danny !!!! Emma decides to have a one night stand with a guy. In the morning she has to leave to go meet her dad. Guess who the dad is with? Emma's new step-mom aka mother of one night stand guy Danny.
This was a quick read but I enjoyed it. I thought their relationship evolved at a good pace and I loved how she worked at his company. It was a fun and spicy read.
