Hankura and Chelle continue their life together joining the crew of the Searching Star, an exploration ship with a mission to find new worlds for colonization and reconnect with lost colonies. Their lives are on an intersecting course with the horse clans of Oltarin a lost colony in the midsts of a 500 year old blood feud primarily between the mountain clans and the lake clans. Their society devolved from space faring into rival clans who rode horses and fought each other with swords, knives, and crossbows.
On his way to send the message from the ancient shuttle, Brandt McKell, son of the Mountain clans' chieftain rides to help a lone rider being chased by four renegades. He can hardly believe his luck when that rider turns out to be the daughter of the Lake clans' chieftain---his deadly enemy. It's not exactly love at first sight, but sparks fly and passion ignites. It's up to the crew of the Searching Star to determine if these people can settle their differences and claim their rightful place in the Federation.

This is the second book about the adventures of Hankura and Chelle who are Psion Mates. Both left on the Searching Star after Hankura's mother tried to make him with her Psi powers to kill Chelle. Their mission is to find lost colonies and new worlds to colonize. They discover an old colony on Demus a world split up by two clans: the horse clans of Oltarin. This rift started when two men fell in love with the same woman on the starship to their new world to colonize which later caused her death. Each blaming the other and wanting revenge. This has two stories in one book. The other is the adventures of Brandt, son of the Mountain clans’ chieftain and the daughter of the Lake clans’ chieftain, Jaecyn. Will their budding romance bridge the clans with help of Hankura and Chelle? The romance is engaging between our couples, the action encounters exciting and the characters likable in an enjoyable story.

There are so many grammar mistakes in this book that it takes away from most of the enjoyment of reading this story. A simple grammar editor would fix most of them.
Another wonderful story of Love and treachery. Who knows what the human race may face in 500 yrs. Could quite easily be something like what these author's imagine. Thank you.
This book is definitely 5 stars. Even though there are several points of view it isn't chaotic . The reader can easily tell who's point of view is being read . Each point of view is concluded before switching to the next.
