Stories from the Bhagawat

Krishna and Shishupala

Rate this book
Shishupala's mother was shocked when she came to know that her child was destined to be killed by Krishna. She extracted a promise from him that he would forgive Shishupala a hundred offences. As he grew up Shishupala had enough reasons to be angry with Krishna. Especially after he was jilted by Princess Rukmini, in favour of the merry-eyed cowherd. He provoked Krishna repeatedly and was forgiven a hundred times. And then one day Shishupala committed his hundred and first offence.

I had expected more about Lord Krishna vs Shishupala (maybe, out of 100, a few offences by Shishupala could have been mentioned 🤔🧐🤭). The story focuses more on Shalva vs Shreekrishna. Nonetheless, it’s entertaining.✌🏻👌🏻

Amar Chitra Katha's have been my favorite and this one is also very good. It's about shishupala his aunt's son who is been forgiven a thousand times by krishna and he is been killed by krishna. It's a very short and easy to read. I got it for free on the kindle store it's free due to the covid -19 epidemic.
So should definitely read this one.☺️
