Erin Lee and R L Weeks did a great job on this twisted tale of dealing with family!
Weeks and Lee together have wrote a book that is hard to put down. The story main character is Elise Reddick who families pedigree is more important then anything. There's a cast of characters that keeps you hoping. There's sex, betrayal and even death in this book. The authors bring you into the lives of the rich and famous with as Elisa would say "My family has a legacy of secrets, affaires and schemes of evil..." The book is well worth a read you won't be disappointed.
You never know what lies beneath the family tree!,
This is story about a shy yet charmingly beautiful 18 year old girl and her twisted and sick family. Elise Reddick Is throw for a loop when she finds her mom and future husband, Charles, having sex. Charles is murdered and the police are looking at Elise as the perpetrator of the crime. That's when her family sends her to live with a cousin, Dana. Dana lives in the little town of Red Leaf. It is this small town that opens Elise's eyes to some of her family's wickedness. In Red Leaf she meets Marcus Bromsley and shortly after thereafter his sister, Sylvia. The Bromsley family have their secrets also. Elise is then told to come home so her brother Eddie can watch over her.
This book is an amazing twisty, turns, sex filled story about how morally corrupt some families can be. I recommend this book if you are open to being sucked into the storyline. I found myself cheering for Elise. So, why are you still reading my review? Go ahead, grab one for yourself. Happy reading!!
R.L. Weeks and Erin Lee write fabulous books on their own, so having them pair up for a co-write was super exciting! The beginning of the book really showed the cold and precise life that Elise was living. By the end of the first chapter, I was eager to know her response to the events. The next chapter presented a mystery and intrigue that would certainly keep me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the pace and flow of this story. Many of the scenes with Elise had me questioning my own sanity as I felt trapped within her mind. I was eager for all of her secrets to come into the open and clear the air. Chapter 10 brought a new element to the story and really turned up the suspense. When Elise returned home and was able to talk with Eddie, it was evident that there were more secrets and more at stake for their family name. The story was really twisting and turning in mysterious ways and I found it thrilling. I was eager to see more the of the characters come into the light and show themselves along with their place in the events and betrayals being pieced together constantly. The last few chapters with Eddie were a bit of a head trip. I was on edge trying to figure out what he was up to and how Slash came to be in the picture. It almost felt a bit out of place by the time I got to the end. There may have needed to be a bit more to tie these last few chapters together more neatly with the previous parts of the book. Overall, I enjoyed the story but didn't really feel as if I had gained closure by the end.
Dangerous Games Elise sent away to Red Leaf to hid while she was suspected of murdering her fiancé Charles, can not remember what happened to him. What secrets is she missing, after her mind starts clearing she needs to figure out how does everyone fit together? Even Edward her brother had secrets his excuse to save the family name. After nightmare after nightmare, pieces come together of what really happened that night. Sylvia her new friend, whom she fell in love with after the Charles “accident” her comfort during this tough time would too eventually betrayed her. Is she destined to stay in a home that, in time, had become a prison made entirely of twisted secrets, legacy, and lies? Get the book to find out.

Wow! Very intriguing from the beginning to end. A twisted family with secrets is insane. I kept wondering if Eddie was immortal for acting the way he did but nothing ever cleared that. Well, anyways Elise is betrayed by all those that surround her. She feels the need to escape and leave the past and she does but she is brought back to her hometown as per her brother for her safety. She becomes determined to find out the family secrets, the lies, and her nightmares in which involve the death of her ex-boyfriend they reveal themselves. Towards the end I kind of got confused and I wish there was more to the ending but other than that it was a great story put together. I wonder if there will be a second book on how her life is going and if her past still hunts her. Either way great book definitely recommend.
You know the saying,"Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." Well this story has a whole nest of spiders and you will take a while to figure out which are the poisonous ones!! This book is full of ups and downs, and lots of times stuff goes sideways. There was a point where I was having a hard time keeping up but I kept reading and it all came together with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. And the hot sex just enhances the story and makes things even more twisted. I was left with some questions so I'm REALLY hoping there is another book in the future, but if there isn't that's okay too. I can live with them and not go crazy. I highly recommend this book, it's worth every penny!!! Enjoy!!
Dangerous Games is such a twisted story of a family that has many deep dark secrets. Elise, innocent and naive sees the real darkness and deceit behind the members of her family. Even though she knew hat not every family is perfect what she has to come to terms with has not only permanently scarred her, it almost damn near killed her. As more of the truth comes the webs of lies also show themselves and the ones Elise thought she could trust are no better than the ones that destroyed her. I was lost in the story, the twist and the turns. I felt so sad for Elise and the family she belonged to. I wanted anyone to be her saviour but in the end the only person Elise could count on was herself.
My heart went out to Elise while reading this book. She has a truly horrible, nasty family, with more skeletons in their closet than I thought possible. After her fiance dies in what she thinks is an accident, she goes to live with extended family. While there she meets a young woman named Sylvia. They get extremely close. When Elise is called home, she starts remembering the night her fiance died. What she remembers is horrible.
Fabulous! I absolutely love this dark & twisted novel. A highly intriguing novel that is brimming with betrayal, secrets, & suspense. A cast of characters that are entangled in a web of lies & truth, affairs, crime, secrets, scandals, trust & a dangerous game. I highly recommend reading this novel as you will not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.
The Reddicks are totally screwed up! Money may fix a lot of things, but soon Elsie will learn that money certainly isn't everything. She is constantly let down by family members who screw her over or just plain let her down, and the nightmares are of no help with the panic attacks. Erin Lee and R. L Weeks are a super team, but be warned of their Dangerous Games!
i really liked the book. there was just to many people in this book. it started to confuse me. i get that they are all connected in some way. she sees her boyfriend doing something. so she runs only to end up the same place. thanks again!
This book is full of surprises... the deep, dark secrets a family kept so their family name isn’t tarnished. Every family has secrets, some are just worst than others as poor Elsie finds out.. Rebecca and Erin did an amazing job writing this book together... can’t wait for more!
A story of a family's loyalties, craziness, secrets and lies. The last pages were perfection. Always look forward to reading a book written by Author Lee and Weeks.
