A gripping and exciting thriller with a romance interlaced amongst the drama.

Amylia, an author of lesbian fiction finds herself victim to some suspicious phone calls at a ridiculous time in the early hours of the morning, which lead her to be protected by bodyguard Skye and from there, drama unfolds in bucket loads in this fantastic spine chilling story.

The whole story left me guessing right up until the end, only giving snippets enough for some clues to be pieced together and leaving mystery up until the very end. I enjoyed the narrative tone of the book and felt it really added to the intensity of the story being told. It also contained just enough humour and romance to lighten the tone and create an even balance throughout making it a very exciting read that I really enjoyed!

DNF 6%
I started to skip a lot ahead after 6% and at 25% I skipped far ahead.
I just couldn´t go through with this, the writing goes in to much unnecessary detail and suddenly there are new characters which you don´t know how and why. Then this instant lust/love is just not for me. The MC´s were a little bit shallow and the passages with the villain are just awkward.
The idea was good but the execution not so much.

I don’t know if it was the writing style but I found it reminded me of the tv visual description for blind people. It was a bit intrusive at first. I also was distracted by a few typos - kerb instead of curb. 20% in. I’m not getting some of the in jokes which is ok but what is really making my eyes roll is the speed of the relationship. Yes I know 20% in a book isn’t maybe that fast but on the novel time line it is. Infuriatingly the mystery part of the novel is holding me. The writing to my eye however is still quite stilted. 30% in. A sex scene that seems to me incongruous to the situation almost made me give up. The mystery is making me hang in - tho I am tempted to flick to the end! The more ridiculous parts of the plot are still being counterbalanced by the mystery but only just! This book is unbelievable. It’s as if it’s sponsored by meet your perfect partner.com #afteryouvebeenbadlyhurtanddonttrustlove. I wouldn't normally review a book I've not finished but I'm not sure I can. The mystery is good but I'm not sure it's good enough!

A psychotic stalker puts life in perspective

“Love today, there may not be a tomorrow, we never know what we have in front of us. So, tell those around how you feel and keep that strength in your heart.”
+ • + • + • +

There's nothing like having a psychotic stalker to put life into perspective for an expansive group of friends, associates & relationships around a writer, a bodyguard, a cop, a CSI, a publisher & an unknown evil.

I liked the book overall, loved the mystery & suspense part of the story, but the willingness & abilitease with which deep-seated & lifelong traumas, aversions & processes are abandoned & overcome with little to no resistance, hesitance or stages. Still, it is very worth reading.

This was an awesome story and read. A story with great characters, twists, love, murder and much more.
The author Charlie Cornwell did an excellent job writing this book there was only one error but it doesn't spoil this story in anyway and deserved the maximum 5stars that one can give.
Would love to hear the other stories o the other characters on how they met each others. But also would like to read more by the author.

Good Read

I really enjoyed reading this book, I have read all of the other book's in this series and they were well written also but this book has more substance. I enjoy romance but the other book's spent way to much time in the bedroom. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Roller coaster

I cried ain't gonna lie but that little girl D'arcy made up for it. I was happy to see some of the other characters from previous books as well. Great book!
