Jason King.
Bryson Reed.
Two elite operatives. Two trained killers. Two warriors on a devastating collision course.

Still giddy from a successful operation in Tijuana, one-man-army Jason King‘s celebrations are cut short when a volatile situation arises in Mogadishu, Somalia.

Whisked into the war-torn city, King must assess a Force Recon Marine who abandoned his post to single-handedly foil an international smuggling ring. Bryson Reed left bodies in his wake, and several high-ranking officials want him discharged or thrown into military prison for his actions. King’s organisation has other ideas, sending King to screen Reed as a potential second recruit to the newly formed Black Force.

But when the bullets start flying, King quickly realises he’s knee deep in a mad web of treachery, lies and deception...

Matt Rogers has quickly become a favorite writer for me. I try now to "keep up" with Matt Rogers' fiction output, and read his books as soon as they are available in Paperback. (I am a neanderthal, and have not moved to Kindle.) Matt Rogers write great military adventure fiction. The plot moves very fast. The action is paced even faster. The characters are interesting, and however flawed, the reader ends up quickly caring about protagonist - in this case, Jason King. The good news is that Matt Rogers creates "bad" guys who are incredibly evil, and definitely motivates the hero to action beyond the expected. Like a Marvel comic superhero, Jason King has pathologically superior, quick reflexes, which allows him to outperform the bad guys. Agree that readers who like Vince Flynn and Brad Thor and Tim Tigner will like Matt Rogers. I personally am not as horrified by less than optimal proof-reading when young authors are trying to publish outside of the big publishers who will take all of the profits. If you like this author, check out Jason Kasper who IS a genuine SF combat veteran who has written two books.

"High Action Galore"

Jason King is a trained killer, an elite operative, and a true warrior. There is a situation rising in Mogadishu, Somalia. Jason rushes there to assess a Force Recon Marine, Bryson Reed, who had abandoned his post in the torn city to seek an international smuggling group. He has killed several of the workers at a shipping dock and his high officials want Bryson Reed discharged or placed in prison. However, King has been assigned to evaluate Reed as he may be a perfect warrior for the new Black Force. King gets entangled in a web of treachery, lies, and deception. With his life brutally threatened, King is, in deed, a warrior who never gives up. He'll never be defeated. There are shocking revelations in this book which will entrap you. The writing is superb, and the action never stops. Highly recommend.

Warrior by Matt Rogers is a high-octane thriller that primarily focuses on action rather than story development. Jason King, is dispatched to Somalia to investigate a fellow Force Recon Marine named Reed, who may be a desirable candidate for Black Force, an ultra-secret black ops unit that King belongs to. However, King uncovers a startling revelation during his investigation, leading to a string of intense action sequences that extend across several chapters. As with any of Matt Rogers' works, readers should anticipate extended, adrenaline-fueled action sequences that keep them on the edge of their seats.

Matt Rogers Did It Again

Not only is the Jason King Series a force to be reckoned with on its own but getting a glimpse at his beginning brings his character to immeasurable heights. His raw power, unwavering determination, impeccable impulse and insurmountable skill set put in the most unthinkable situations keeps you, as the reader, so engrossed in his story it’s near impossible to put down once the cover is breached. Oh so insanely good!!!! Can’t wait for the next adventure Matt!

I've read every Jason King book, and you should be aware action is not my favorite genre. I have enjoyed each and every book better than the last. I especially enjoyed this book because it went back in time to when Jason King began his adventures. Suspend reality, which is what you should do when reading this type of book, and just sit back and enjoy this writer. I've already started his next series and found it as good as this one. Do yourself a favor; if you've not read Matt Rogers, give him a try. You won't be sorry.

Action!

This book is action packed! King is off to Somalia to meet a Recon Marine. The twists and turns are surprising, but the action never stops. I will point out that this book does a poor job of portraying Recon Marines. As a Marine I take exception to the portrayal since I know a few Recon Marines personally. This book portrays all of them in a poor light. There are always bad apples, but the ones I know are tough, unflappable when it counts and very capable.

Awesome series except

I don't understand why once the character is establish the writer keeps repeating the same thing book after book. It reeks the reader being to stupid to remember why King was picked for the job. Detailed explanations of how is he goes into his zone is way to repetitive.

Jason King is not just another pretty face!!!

Wow! This book was amazing for complexity and raw emotion. When the antagonist begins to show his true colors....it's amazing how the story ends.

Too much!

A little bit conveys the intent of the action, way to much distracts to the point of unbelievable. This set was such.

A MR. Jason King Thriller (TJKFB. - 2)/ JK. Checks A New Recruit

MR. has. penned a new Jason King military action thriller, which contains a trip to Somalia to check up on a Marine that has come to the attention of Black Force. His objective is to observe the man, a Marine, in action, while determining his value of added sugar p Black Force. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
