This was more of a 3.5. I scored this low because there were a few typos here and there. Despite that, things are getting more intense and I'm loving it! However, I was not too thrilled with Kate at the end. I hate giving things away, I won't, but things like that irk me.
I also understand the errors as Kit seems to independently publish her books, so she must edit her own books. Most books have to give credit to their editor on the copyright page so i rounded my score up. I know the struggles first hand too.
Give this series a try because it's fast paced and fun!
Wow! And I thought the last book was awesome but this one is a whole new world. Still in love with the characters, the action and how the story just rolls along so smoothly. It's still fast paced so there is never a dull moment. So exciting! I love it!
Love love the story and to learn more about the characters. Kate is remembering her past life and wants to take care of the darkness on her own as she learns more and more.
Mmh... Unfortunately, I feel as if what made the first book so fun and enjoyable is starting to lack here, and for me that was the banter and sense of humour between the characters. There was such a good back and forth in book 1 and their relationships seemed so natural. By now it feels too forced, the emotions between them and also the dialogue. * * *
POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT!!! * * * Also, for a girl that has never dated anyone, she's incredibly comfortable with the weird love relationship they have going on. Whereas it's different from the usual love triangle, I'm not feeling it. It feels too unnatural and everyone accepts it too easily for my taste. BUT, maybe it will all make sense in the next books, as more is revealed.
