Fall is Ide Noapte's favorite time of year. (By the way- it's pronounced EE-DUH.) Halloween is her birthday, and this year she turns thirteen. She's a normal girl, really smart and very fast, with many friends and a cute crush named Austin.
She's just casually going about her life when she overhears a conversation between her parents. And when a hint is dropped (and who would have thought that they planned it?) about their past, everything that Ide thought she knew is changed.
And suddenly, it's just Ide and her brother with this terrible and unbelievable secret- but Austin and Ide's friends always seem ready to help- as Ide finds unexpected facts relating to the people to whom she is closest… She realizes she must quickly find out the truth and whom she can trust, because what can you do when you're a vampire, and you have that terrible thirst inside?

This book was the best vampire novels I've ever read. Instead of having them go on on a killing spree, Thea has a sensitive young vampire who does not drink blood. You're amazing Thea!!!

"The Thirst Inside" centers around a relatable girl named Ide, who leads a regular life until she overhears a life-changing conversation between her parents. Ide finds herself stuck in a dangerous situation, and she discovers secrets she once thought impossible. As she finds out unexpected facts regarding people to whom she is closest, Ide realizes she must find the truth and whom she can trust before it's too late.
I couldn't put "The Thirst Inside" down. I read the entire book in one sitting, and then reread it the next day. Ide's sparkling personality shone through on every page. The plot is clearly well thought-out, as if Thea is a professional author instead of a thirteen-year-old. I also thought the ending was spectacular. The ending of a book is crucial, and it can make or break the entire book. Thea wrapped up the book beautifully, and I have no complaints about the ending. I would definitely recommend reading this book, and I am waiting impatiently for the sequel, "Night Crawlers", to be published. Great job, Thea!
