My name’s Rosie and I come from a dynasty of sorts… the Sons of Templar, maybe you’ve heard of them.

I just happen to be the daughter of one of the founding members and am the sister of the current president.

The fact I’m a woman means I don’t wear the patch, but it’ll never change the fact that I'm a Templar by blood.

We're known as royalty in the outlaw world. Though, the dynasty is dancing on the right side of the law these days.

That doesn’t mean that the law and those who enforce it are friends.
It will remain the one constant in my tumultuous life. The one rule in our law-free existence.

Befriending the law and those that enforce it is a betrayal.

Which means me being one half of a doomed love is that much more comical when he’s a cop.

Or was.

Before I went and ruined it all.

Before he shattered that shield he wore to protect society in order to protect me.

He saved me and I damned him.

I damned myself too, but to be honest, I was damned long before that.

Anne Malcom has been an avid reader since before she can remember, her mother responsible for her book addiction. It started with magical journeys into the world of Hogwarts and Middle Earth, then as she grew up her reading tastes grew with her. Her obsession with books and romance novels in particular gave Anne the opportunity to find another passion, writing. Finding writing about alpha males and happily ever afters more fun than reading about them, Anne is not about to stop any time soon.

I was lucky enough to BETA read this story and I absolutely adored it. Anne's writing has grown so much and this story cements her place as a favourite author for me.

Rosie and Luke are characters we have gotten to know in the SOT series. Characters on either side of the law who have always fought their attraction to each other.

Rosie especially was a fixture in every story, providing support for her girls, kicking butt when needed and being her general hilarious self. What we didn't know was how deep her dark side ran. It's in Shield that we find out who Rosie really is.

Luke. Well Luke is now my second favourite male character after Bull. He is complex. He has a firm moral code that he lives to, always striving to do what's right. That is, until he questions what right actually means? He's also one of the best dirty talkers ever. New panties required ASAP.

📚 I’m not about right anymore. Never want to be again if that mean’s I’ll never sink into that sweet pu$$y. 🔥🔥

The thing I loved the most about this story is the history between these two characters. As readers we had no idea how long they've loved each other, or how many obstacles came between them. Their paths crossing as children changed the course of both their lives. This is the ultimate story of unattainable love - slowburn at its best.

📚"La douleur exquise - The heart-wrenching pain of loving someone completely unattainable "

While reading this one I cried, I swooned, I laughed, I gasped out loud and then I cried some more. This is not a pretty, happy read. There were points in this story where I had to take a moment and regroup. It's a dark read, but god it's a beautiful one.

Ultimately it's a story of what you're willing to do, or what you're willing to let go of for the one you love. The answer. Everything!

📚"The bravest thing you’ll ever do in your life is let someone love you, love them back.”

I adore this author and I have been so looking forward to the story of Luke and Rosie.

But I felt like at times I was waiting for the story to start.

This may be just me, but I found the time jumps too much. For me I would rather just read a book from start to finish in a "traditional" timeline way. I just do not like time jumps back, it brings me out of the story and makes me feel like I am waiting for the actual real story to start. I know why the author did it, as there is a LOT of crossover with previous books, but for me, I do not find it works.

And it meant I lost the flow of the story as the time jumps back where not always necessarily in a timeline order. They jumped about a bit.

Also, not sure what happened to Rosie!? I know she was kick ass, but she was positively a sociopath super girl/homicidal maniac here. I found her hard to warm to, she was quite derisive of a "normal" life. And the dialogue was a touch too wordy for me which meant I found it hard to feel comfortable with the characters.

I still enjoyed it, I did. I was waiting and waiting for the story of Luke and Rosie but at times I struggled to follow along, or found myself skipping some of the more wordy dialogue! I am a simple soul really, and maybe my heart still lies so very much with Cade, or Bull, or Brock (or actually all 3!) from Sons of Templar.

I did however LOVE when Luke was heading to the compound for the first time as Rosie's boyfriend.

And I CANNOT wait for Polly and Heath. (There is a Polly and Heath right??)

Overall, is it my favourite of Anne Malcom's? Nope. Did I enjoy it? I did. And she still remains one of my favourite authors, with some of my favourite characters.

Also....Lucien??? I sorta liked him!

Anne is honest in a way other authors aren't. She isn't selling the fairy tale of an easy happily ever after here. No she tells us about real love. The love that is as brutal and painful as it is beautiful and peaceful. The love that takes time, work, tears. The kind that faces insurmountable difficulties and doesn't conquer them alone but helps along with a lot of fight, grit and determination. The kind of real love that lasts because it takes hard work, bearing of the soul and tears. That kind of love is real and beautiful because of it's imperfections. She captures that beautifully. Better than any book I have ever read. She captures the struggle for love and the reasons it's entirely worth it even when it hurts. This book may make your heart ache but in the best way. Rosie and Luke are who we have waited so long for and their story while difficult is beautiful for those complexities. It may not be an easy read if you have been waiting for their story; we all knew it wouldn't be an easy read. It is a worth it read though. It will bring you out the other side believing in loves ability to survive the toughest of thing's in a way no other book could. I really don't think there could have been a more perfect story for Rosie and Luke. You will need snacks, wine and tissues for this wild journey but it's worth it. If you read the story up until now then you NEED this book. If you haven't then what are you waiting for? You need this truth, struggle and beauty in your life. Your still going to get your HEA but with one wild ride to get there.

I received an ARC of this book from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thank you Anne Malcom!

This has got to be my favourite Anne Malcom book yet. This book was everything; dark, emotional, riveting, and full of angst. This book took me by surprise with such darkness from Malcom, but I loved it.

Not only is the plot enthralling and enticing - you won’t be able to stop reading - the writing is absolutely beautiful. The metaphors and the symbols are sublime, and the style of the writing itself is just flawless. I’ve never highlighted so many quotes in my life.

And Rosie... I can’t review this book without mentioning Rosie. Such strength and independence, yet also guarded and fragile. A complex and complete character. A character who stands up for what she believes in. A character with strong morals and beliefs. A character, who just like a rose, absolutely beautiful, but protects herself with her thorns.

The concept that good and bad are not cut in dry in this book is integral and beautiful - can you tell I’m running out of adjectives? The book dances in the shades of grey between good and bad, while Rosie insists there is only black and white. A shattering perspective that will take the reader on a wild ride.

As stated above, this is Anne’s best book yet.

I received an ARC of this book from the author and I couldn't wait to leave this review!!!!
A 10 star read!!!! Anne truly didn't let me down in Rosie and Luke's book. I was looking forward to this book as much as Mia and Bull & Lucky and Bex's books. She didn't disappoint. It took Luke and Rosie many, many, many painful years and situations to finally get together and when they did it was explosive, hot and amazing. Never in my mind did I think this was going on in the background while all the other SOT, Lexy & Killian and Keltan and Lucy found their happy endings!! This book was simply amazing. I love that all Anne's characters go through major, life altering situations before they find their happy endings. She doesn't sugar coat...her female characters are stronger then ever and the males are total alphas. I also love that we got a touch of the old characters in Rosie and Luke's story. Also this book had its moments were I was laughing out loud (I started reading this on the train and every time I laughed out loud people were looking at me like I was crazy). I cannot wait for whats next. Great, emotional, gripping 10 star read...cheers to Anne she did it again!!!

I hated this book.
Really hated it.

I was looking forward to it for months and than this book comes around.

I mentioned before while trying to read this thing that this is not the Rosie we know which doesn't have to be a problem normally but this woman is nuts. Seriously you can go for the bad bad boys to hurt or even kill them but you can not tell you own brother you have the hots for a guy who was a police officer in the past?
Are you shittin me...

Dear Anne normally I love your books but this one didn't work for me at all...

I don’t know where to even start. I have been looking forward to Rosie and Luke’s book since the first Sons of Templar book. Their romance and love for each other has always been there, it just took a couple of decades for everything to fall into place so they could be together.
They were kinda like Romeo and Juliet. Luke is a cop. Rosie is a MC princess. Those two types of people don’t go together. But Rosie was never one to follow rules and Luke finally realizes that the only way he can ever be happy is if he has Rosie.
This book was so well written. The storyline was phenomenal, the character development on point. If you like MC romances, mixed in with a bit of security guys, plus mystery and suspense, this is a book for you. Only I will caution you in saying you need to read the first Greenstone Security Book first, and if you want the entire back story, Read Anne’s Sons of Templar series.
5 amazing stars.

OMG!! This is the book we've ALL been waiting for! Since Making the Cut! Through all of the Sons of Templar stories, none of which would have been entirely possible without the influence of Rosie and Luke. We finally get to see where it all began. (Wo knew you could meet your forever at the tender age of 5?) We watch them come close what feels like a thousand times, only to be ripped apart again and again and again.

Luke has fought desperately his whole life to shield Rosie from the MC, her family. Trying to find a way to free her from it. Rosie has sacrificed her very happiness to protect the MC, her family. But more importantly, what she sees as shielding Luke from the darkness of their differences. She is bad, he is good. Black and white. To watch them finally come together? Priceless!!

If you have read this series you know who Rosie is. She is a standout character. She’s loud opinionated, aggressive(not in a bad way) and she loves harder than any character/person we have met before. Rosie is who's held the Son’s of Templar together for so many years and while everyone has gotten their happy ending Rosie has sat on the side cheering them on. But her happy ending isn’t meant to be.

At five little Rosie saw a prince and she knew he wasn’t for her but that didn’t make her wish he could be hers. And as the years went on Rosie fell more and more in love but also knew more that Luke could never be hers, they were from two very different worlds. Luke was good and pure, Rosie was a biker princes and wild. But even though Rosie knew they couldn’t be she still wished their story could have a happy ending.

Now Rosie is gone and isn’t sure she will go back after what happened, Rosie knew she had to leave. Leaving Rosie found purpose and a way to help those who couldn’t help themselves and she’s good at it, great in fact. Then one night of weakness and alcohol Rosie inserts her sim card and gets a message about her best friend. Now nothing will stop Rosie from coming home and making sure her best friend is in one piece.

Coming home brings so much back to Rosie including Luke who has changed more than Rosie could have guessed. Along with the changes is Luke’s determination to finally get his girl. She’s been his since she was little even if everything seemed like they shouldn’t or couldn’t happen. Luke will do anything and everything to get Rosie and keep her even if it’s fighting against his toughest opponent, Rosie. Convincing Rosie isn’t easy and a life together will never be smooth sailing but when they think they may have actually beaten the odds the universe has some unfinished business knocking at their door.

I loved this book Rosie is a huge character so this book had to be big and special and I think this book did Rosie justice, but not only Rosie but this great love story that is Rosie and Luke. From book one we knew Rosie’s longing and love for Luke and we saw that time and difficulty couldn’t lessen it her love and his only grew even when everything said they shouldn’t be.

Rosie is funny and rough around the edges but that roughness hold love on the inside and Rosie feels so deep and cares so much it was almost like she had to have a rough and tough exterior to keep that soft loving self safe and in tact. Rosie is also very funny and the life of the party. Luke is a clean-cut good ol boy who fell in love with someone who should be his enemy. But fall in love he did and no one else could ever replace Rosie. I loved seeing Luke and finally getting in his head, getting to know who he really was, and seeing him grown and changed. But more than anything I was just so happy they both got their happy ending. Rosie loved him so much and wanted him so much I wanted her to have her dream and Anne Malcom gave her that and more.

We also get a great reunion in this book. It was so much fun seeing everyone again and I loved seeing Gwen’s relationships with Rosie. We also get to see more of characters that haven’t gotten books yet in both the Son’s series (Gage pretty, pretty please) and also in the Greenstone Security series. I can’t wait to see what happens next and who gets a book next my list seems to grow with each book Ms. Malcom writes. I can’t recommend this book enough.

If there was ever a time when we could rate books to up to a million stars... The time would be now!

Ever since I read Anne Malcom's Making the Cut 2 years ago, I've always wondered about Rosie and Luke. As you've seen in my other reviews, Sons of Templar is my favorite series ever. Honestly, I love every single book she's written. All of Anne's books are amazing...

Shield is no different.

The second book in the Greenstone Security series is a darkly beautiful story will keep you turning pages and will keep you from sleeping because you have to know what is going on. So many questions are answered. So many feelings are felt. You will go through an epic emotional rollercoaster. My heart was broken, then it was healed, then beat up, then consoled.... The darkness balances well with the humor and sarcasm that we all love. The character development is phenomenal.

Rosie and Luke's relationship is one that will go down in history. You know the saying, "Love conquers all?" Well... It's true. Anne Malcom wrote about it in Shield.

This is honestly one of the greatest books I've ever read. I HIGHLY, absolutely, 100% recommend this book.

Wow. I had to take a moment after finishing this book, before I could sit down and write my review for it, to ensure I do this amazing book justice.

I first read about Rosie and Luke when I read Making the Cut in October 2015 and I have been itching to read their story ever since. And with each book, learning more and more, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Shield. And boy oh boy, it exceeded my expectations!

This book ripped my heart out, made me want to scream and cry and then it put it back together in the most beautifully broken ways, a story about how love isn’t some picture perfect cookie cutter idea, it’s rough and complicated and often painful and so very hard. The slow burn, the backstory we get throughout the book, just made it the perfect telling of Rosie and Luke’s epic tale.

So often when there is a long build up waiting for a particular story, we’re left wanting because we build this story up in our own minds while we wait - I am happy to say this was not the case, this book was everything I hoped for and more.

5 stars, only because that’s the maximum goodreads will let me give!

Wow! Amazing! I’ve been impatiently waiting for Rosie and Luke’s story from the very beginning in Making the Cut. I knew this would be a brokenly beautiful epic story. I was not disappointed!! Good and bad is all relative, it’s what’s in your heart and soul. This story is Imperfectly perfect, as it stays true to Rosie and Luke. Their story spans years full of angst, love, pain, choices, regrets and ultimately acceptance. Roller coaster ride of emotions, so hang in for the ride it’ll be worth it. I highly recommend this book.

Love is painful. Love is brutal. Love is sacrificing everything. Rosie and Luke love. Hard.

Their love is a lifetime. It begins nearly at first sight, as children, and lasts a lifetime. The story happens behind the scenes of so many others, because love also blinds. Rosie’s love for her family blinded her to her own heart. Luke’s love for Rosie instilled a hatred for her family that seems insurmountable.

This isn’t a story- it’s a saga. To really understand I highly recommend you first read the stores of the people Rosie loves most- her family.

When lines are blurred and it’s impossible to say what is good and what is bad, struggles abound. Luke is a cop determined to follow the letter of the law. He struggles to understand how even the law can’t fix everything. Rosie is an outlaw determined to step outside that law every chance she can. But here’s the kicker- Rosie’s brand of “bad” really isn’t. She stands up for those wronged, and seeks justice where it typically cant be found. Luke’s brand of “good” isn’t always. He learns that rules don’t mean bad things won’t happen.

Anne proves again that fairytales are ugly, dark stories. Happily every after sometimes means happy for now, and we’ll figure out the rest as we go. But no matter what, there is love. So. Much. Love.

To read the whole story- the story of Rosie’s family- start with Making The Cut - Book 1 of the Sons Of Templar series.

Wow I seriously don't know how to write a review for this book that will do it justice. Anne's writing just gets better .This book is raw , gritty and full of angst . A beautiful love story that is full of danger and action packed. Rosie is one kick ass girl, with a hard shell but a total soft vulnerable centre who doesn't believe sh is worthy of Luke. The whole time i was reading this I felt like Anne was in my head and Rosie is a reflection of how many women feel about theirselves. I absolutely loved it and Rosie even when I was like come on Rosie get your act together , your worth it! Well what can I say about Luke? He has fast become a favourite , sexy and beautiful. He let Rosie be who she needed to be and didn't try to change her and I very much love this. Top read of the year so far.

***I was given an ARC of Shield in exchange for an honest review.***

"It's only the most beautiful of things that are worth fighting for"

This is Rosie and Luke's Story; a story that I know I am not alone in waiting rather impatiently for. I've been a huge Anne Malcom fan from the beginning and I knew she would not disappoint. The way that all of these characters, their stories & HEA's are all so beautifully written and interwoven is everything. What I love most about all of Anne's books is that they aren't solely about two people finding love; its' also about friendships (fierce lady friendships), brotherhood & family. Each and every book gets you in all the feels! Shield was definitely no different.

Rosie & Luke's story starts at a beginning that nobody knew about and follows these two on a journey of finding themselves, heartbreak, & love. Rosie is so fierce and so beautifully fragile & Luke is so honest, patient & alpha; These two and their story it's everything you can imagine & then some. There is so much depth, so many layers, twists & turns as you buckle in for their epic emotional roller coaster ride. Trust me when I say you will LOVE this book!

Now please excuse me while I go nurse this book hangover.

Since I was first introduced to Rosie and Luke in Making the Cut, I have been patiently waiting for their story to be told.   I knew that it would not be all hearts and flowers, but to see them finally come together was amazing.  They fought their feelings for a lifetime, they fought what was ultimately meant to be since Rosie was 5.  Sometimes it takes not only the right person but the right circumstances to see what was right in front of you.  I loved that Luke did not want to change anything about our spitfire and that Rosie was able to accept that Luke was not all squeaky clean. Rosie is truly the glue that holds her MC family together!!! If you have read any of Anne's books than this one needs to be next on your list!!

Chaos can be peace when wild is the way of life.'

And Rosie is the embodiment of wild! Her life, her morals, just her.....all chaos.

Always in her life has been Luke. Once secret friend, enemy of the club and the one she couldn't have.

We have been tantalized by snippets of Rosie and Luke in previous Sons of Templar books.....and now we get it all. In all its chaotic, screwed up, secretive glory and you know it's can only spell trouble with a capital T!

Luke stole the show for me; 'Nothing would break her again. He’d shield her from everything and anything.'

So here we are, getting it all! Gwen is fabulous as usual and the glimpses of Bull made me want to run back and re-read his story again for the 100th time!

Alcohol, tissue paper and chocolate needed like now please!

I have so many thoughts going through my head but no way to really get them out. So what can I say about this book? Well I’m going to say this, Shield is freaking AWESOME! Heck the author is Freaking awesome! Anne Malcom tore my heart out and ripped it to shreds all throughout this book until finally she felt she did enough damage that she then gathered up all the pieces and sewed my heart back together again.
I never quite knew why this book was called Shield until the end of the story where finally it was explained quite clearly and I think it’s the perfect name for a perfect yet completely insane book!!
Anne Malcom most definitely knows how to weave her stories and and make you feel like you are in those stories and she most definitely knows how to send you on a whirlwind of a scary exciting ride.
Shield deserves more than five measly stars it deserves 100 I think.... I love this book, so I definitely highly recommend it to anyone that’s brave enough to take a leap without a safety harness to stop their fall!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of Shield by Anne Malcom for my honest opinion and this is me giving you my complete and honest opinion about it.

As always Anne did not disappoint. I laughed, I cried,I was exclaiming out loud as well as letting a flew obscenities fly, I couldn't put it down. It was moving, exciting at times, heartbreaking at others but overall a beautiful love story. One worth fighting for.

Shield is the coming together of two tortured souls, both who have loved each other for 2 decades. Both fighting it because of her family and his profession. An outlaw and a cop. It could never work, but they somehow find a way. The path is not an easy one. It is filled with death, bloodshed, trauma, and lots of fighting. Between Rosie and Luke, but also with their stubborness and need to protect the other. It moves between the past, their childhood and the present. The past showing how they were shaped, the things they went through, that made them the people they are today.

Rosie is a spitfire, a female not to be messed with. She doesn't make idle threats and it is best to stay on her good side. You do not ever want to mess with her family and the ones she loves. She's been in love with Luke since she first laid eyes on him at the tender age of 5. In her 5 years she had seen way more pain, and death than a five year old ever should. She had to grow up very fast. She is the heart and soul of the Sons of Templar MC. Luke is the small town sherriff, that has been in love with Rosie since she was 5 years old. He knew he had to protect her, that she was like nobody else. He spent his life, following in the footsteps of his father who occassionally would look the other way when it came to the MC. Luke spent his career buliding a fiel to bring down the Sons, but knew deep down he never would because that would mean bringing down his Rosie and she is HIS.

It is a battle that they have been fighting for decades, but will there love be strong enough to rise above all they think is in their way.

Seriously every time anne writes another book I always think she can’t top the last, but hey that beautiful kiwi always proves me very very wrong!

Luke and Rosie!!! Ahh I’ve been wanting to read about these two for forever! Now I have and ahh my heart is extremely happy!

Luke is a cop,Rosie is the sister of a MC president. Luke hates Cade and everything he stands for and Cade hates Luke and everything he stands for. Simple relationship right? Hell no wouldn’t be Anne’s still for everything to be easy.

Rosie is just amazing! I thought Amy and Gwen were kick ass but Rosie is a planet all on her own! This women is just everything! She does everything to ensure everyone of her family and the club are safe and happy even if it means giving up her own happiness

Luke was....oh man Luke was perfect! I knew he was hot from Gwen and cade’s story but wow if you look at perfection in the dictionary? Luke’s name will be next to the definition!!!!!

This is what I love about Anne’s books, you get all the feels without a doubt your gonna cry! And maybe hear your ovaries exploded a time or two
Plus there is always trouble going to happen! It seriously has you on the edge of your seat cause you never know what trick Anne is going to pull out the bag!

If I could give Shield more than 5* I absolutely would! Luke and Rosie’s story was definitely worth the wait and more!
This baby is definitely getting bought paperback!

Rosie and Luke. The turmoil that wreaks havoc in their lives provides Anne Malcom’s readers with the sincerest form of love, that, is at times, actually painful to each of them.

When your family is an MC, 1%, and your love is the law, your loyalty is split. Rosie’s excruciating battle to control her feelings for Luke, and his for her, is the premise for the second book in the series.

There is such emotion behind this author’s writing that we walk the decades long struggle right beside these lovers. And as much as it hurts, we do so gladly.

I received an ARC copy of this book. As a diehard fan of this author I’ve been waiting for this story to be told since her first book and she did not disappoint. While you don’t have to read her Sons of Templar or Greenstone books first since she does a good job recapping the main details it definitely helps. I loved the biker romance twist as Rosie is the “bad girl” and Luke is the “good guy”. There is still a lot of heat between the two as well as funny moments and tender moments. My favorite part is how Luke can “shield” yet still give Rosie space to be strong on her own. This book does contain a lot of memories ( which I usually find annoying and choppy) but they seemlessly flow and let you see the strength if the characters. I also love young Rosie. I definitely recommend this as a must read and can’t wait more goodness from this author.

What I can start out that 5 stars is clearly not enough stars for this book. I had only discovered Anne last year and have devoured all of her books.

Rosie and Luke's story is another epic one that is one of my all time favorites. This story begins when Rosie is little and goes through her life of the trials she had to go through to find herself. Luke was raised as the sheriffs son and Rosie's family is the opposite of what he thinks are good people. These 2 go back and forth for decades fighting the attractions that is there.

Through Rosie's trials I felt for her and could understand her feeling she is not good enough for the good guy and doing what she needed to be being the Princess of the MC but never fully a member.

Anne Malcom is an amazing author and I always get excited when I hear she is working on something new.

Like most I have been waiting for this book since the beginning and all I can say is it was worth the wait!!! I can't put into words how amazing this book was. I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love. Anne broke my heart and then put it back together. I can promise this is a book I will read over and over again. Rosie and Luke were made for each other.

Anne Malcom has done it again! Shield is a 10 star read!
I was honoured to receive an ARC of Shield. To say I was excited was an understatement.
This is the story we have all been waiting for since meeting Rosie and Luke in Making The Cut (Sons of Templar). I was always wondering where the path was going to lead with them both.
Let me just say their journey over two decades is full of angst, the emotions that they both went through were dark, raw, honest, real, powerful, heartbreakingly beautiful and an epic love story that will leave you wanting more.
Anne Malcom has always written amazing stories and her words just keep getting better and better.
Just have chocolate, a bottle of wine and a box of tissues ready!
Shield is one of my all time favourite reads and I highly recommend it!

ARC Review

I read this book a couple of days ago and I have been trying to calm my racing heart so I can think straight enough so I can write this review. But even now I don’t believe I have recovered enough. But here goes.....

Before you start reading make sure you have tissues, chocolates and if your a drinker wine is needed, perhaps something stronger 😉

Anyone who knows me knows I’m never going to fit into the category of ‘most cases.’

Rosie is kind of a contradiction, she is a very strong and independent person but she is also fragile and guarded. She is very protective over the ones she loves and cares for. When I think of Rosie I think of the Poison Dart Frog, it is very pretty to look at but one touch can be very deadly, she may be small and not look like a threat but mess with her and watch out.

True love is never roses and chocolates, love is hard work, it takes time and tears. Love is about compromises and bearing your soul and darkest secrets.

This story is about Rosie and Luke a lawman and a criminal. Sort of a modern day Romeo and Juliet. If you are familiar with these two characters from Malcom’s previous books and you think you know all about them, well think again, forget all about what you think you know cause you are about to go on one hell of a journey.

Anne Malcom you have done it once again, one fantastic story. I am so over the moon that I have been aloud to read and review this book before it’s release day, and will forever be great full to the hard work you put into writing these stories xx

**I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.**

Shield is the story of Rosie and Luke. I have to say, I’ve been waiting for this story for what seems like forever. If you’ve read Malcom’s Sons of Templar MC series, you understand why.

This story is EPIC. It is an incredible emotional rollercoaster. The heartache is immense, but the payoff at the end is HUGE. I lost count of how many times this story, a story of a lawman and a criminal, broke my heart and then mended it back together. These characters have so much depth and layers to them. If you’re familiar with them from previous books, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find out that you didn’t really know anything about them at all, including their demons, their motivations, and what's really hidden under those masks that they show to the world.

Malcom also does an excellent job at dropping hints about the fates of secondary characters, so that you can’t help but anticipate when they get their stories. I'm really enjoying this series, and this is hands down one of my top AM books to date.
