Becky es una escritora BEST Seller pero últimamente tiene un bloqueo, cuando sale a pasear para despejarse y vuelve a casa se encuentra con que un oso ha entrado en su casa así que corre a buscar refugio a casa de su vecino Isaías.
Isaías no entiende porque unos shifter osos han entrado en casa de Becky, aunque empieza a sospechar que podría ser su clan intentando desacreditarlo y acabar por echarlo. Pero las cosas se vuelven complicadas demasiado rápido y la vida de muchos depende de Isaías.
Me pareció un pelín soso y aburrido. Para ser una historia shifter se me quedó sosa, intentó meter cosas modernas el tema LGTB y todo el rollo pero no se me he quedado en plan y ya?
Supongo que está bien para pasar el rato pero vamos que no ha sido mi mejor lectura shifter.

1.5 estrellas.
He leído este libro porque me llama la atención el segundo de esta saga que si no... Solo por el título sabía que era posible que no me gustase nada. El motivo: no me gusta que la protagonista sea virgen. Es ridículo, perpetúa ciertas ideas que no me gustan un pelo (no voy a explicarlo, estoy harta de hacerlo una y otra vez) y además es bastante irreal. Sobre todo cuando nos encontramos una prota como en este libro con un nivel de inocencia más propio de una adolescente que de una mujer moderna o de alguien radicalmente religioso. En este caso eran los padres los radicales, ¿no?. El caso es, entre otras cosas, que no soy capaz de sentirme identificada con este tipo de personajes.
Además, la inmersión en el universo que se nos presenta en esta saga no ha sido demasiado natural y la trama, en ocasiones, parecía avanzar a trompicones.
He redondeado a dos estrellas porque por lo menos lo he terminado y me ha picado la curiosidad a pesar de sus fallos. También he tenido en cuenta que es el primer libro de la saga y esas cosas.

Becky est super mignonne, elle est renfermée mais on sent que ça lui pèse et qu’elle veut avoir des amis. Elle a un manque de confiance en elle aussi qu’elle essaye de surmonté.
Isaias est super mims, bienveillant et respectueux.
Mignon aussi son attachement envers Adela et Luci.
Y’a pas mal d’action et rebondissements donc c’est cool, le scénario est assez classique mais ça reste sympa et ça se lit rapidement.

As I had an advance copy of the book, this review/rating is not based on spelling/grammar.
Although I think there is a lot of potential for this story, I wasn't really feeling the romance. Maybe if we had seen more of the build-up and friendship I would have bought more into the relationship, but as it was there didn't seem to be a real connection between the MCs. Becky seemed far to uncertain with herself for me to really see her jumping so quickly into love with Isaias. Isaias I could never get a really good feel for outside his over-protectiveness of Adela (nope that name is not a typo, for all that he views Adela as a "sister", I almost think I would have bought into the romance more if Adela hadn't been such a bigger factor in the story). I found the non-romance side of the plot far more interesting, though I'm not sure how it will play out in the future books of the series.

A good action story with mystery and a bit of heat. There is quite a bit of violence, so be warned, but in this world of shifters and their miraculous healing powers, even frequent battles that include guns, claws, sharp teeth and explosives have a good chance at causing limited fatalities!
Becky, the heroine, is a successful writer but inexperienced at love and passion. Her shifter billionaire neighbor Isaias tries to help after she is chased and attacked near her home and they finally get to know one another. I liked the slow build up of heat and how the author made the heroine as successful as the hero, in her own field. Prejudice and jealousy play a major part in this story, as shifters fight against stereotyping that would accuse them of causing society's ills.
Some of the story seemed slightly disjointed, as if pieces cut out in editing left gaps. For instance, the importance of the bear clan to the hero and a yearly harvest get together where female bears seek his attention are mentioned as reasons for the H and h to become closer, but then these factors disappear from the rest of the story. Still, there was a heap of suspense and action, plenty to keep the story rolling on to an exciting conclusion.

There is the major story The Bear Shifter's Virgin and then several other stories, all dealing with the paranormal.
The bear shifter is Isaias Durant, who lives out in the woods with his housekeeper and her baby. Their parents were murdered at the same time by an anti-shifter. Shifters are "out", but are considered second-class citizens, so Isaias keeps what he is secret and uses his money to present shifters in a good light.
Rebecca Lake, Isaias' neighbor, is an author who uses shifter characters in her books. She has no idea about Isaias or how shifters actually live. She is attacked by what she thinks is a "real" bear. Isaias knows better and invites her to take shelter in his compound.
Meanwhile, his plan expects him to take a wife, human or shifter. Isaias isn't ready, so he asks Rebecca to pretend to be his fiancé. His clan doesn't believe the lie and force them into a shifter ceremony.
The question is whether a relationship between Isaias and Rebecca is possible and who his after them.

Well for starters, you can’t say this story is dull. Far from it. So much action, drama, emotions....wow. I loved how it started off slow about Author Rebecca Lake needing some inspiration for her writers block. Little does she realise that her life is going to be turned upside down in more ways than one.
Meeting Billionaire Isaias Durant will be an experience emotionally as well as physically. Only problem is they both have secrets.
Now secrets have a funny way of changing your life. They will either be the best thing ever or totally destroy you. Because of certain secrets, it threatens both Isaias and Rebecca’s lives. A brilliant start to this series and loved hearing about Adela and her baby Luck too. Great story, loved it.

Rebecca moved in next door to Isaias and Adela. Adela is like a sister to Isaias and her loves her daughter Lucy Becky is a famous author of shifter books. She is having trouble writing so she goes for a walk when she gets close to her home she see the door a jarred. That is when bear comes after her she runs Isaias's house for help. This is a great story and I love the characters and the way Jasmine Wylder brings everything together. This was a hard book to put down. This is volume 1 of the series Fated Bears, can't wait for volume 2. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.

This book has a lot going on in it! It's a romance between Becky and Isaias. It's a shifter romance with conflict and suspense. And it's about trusting that one person who means everything to you, no matter what. I like a little mystery in my romances and hate it when I can see the whole plot right off the bat. This is not one of those books... it has so many twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat to see what happened next. And the romance? It was amazing. 💖

This is the romantic story of Isaias and Becky. She is a shy writer who is also a virgin. He is a bear shifter, billionaire media mogul. After an incident where she is almost attacked by a bear, he says he will protect her. He plans a fake engagement and things start to heat up. Lots of drama, a kidnapping, secrets, a blast from the past and danger. How does she react when she finds out his secret? I am such a fan of shifter books and Jasmine Wylder knows exactly how to tell a great story. She is one of my favorites when it comes to these kind of books. This is book one in her Fated Bears series and I thought it was written very well, the characters were very likable and the plot of the story was exactly what I would expect from her, in fact it was so much more. Becky and Isaisis were a lot of fun to read about and their journey from pretending to be in love to ending up falling in love was very enjoyable.

Well this sure took fake engagement to another level. There is a whole lot more going on with this budding romance though. Isaias came across as a bit stand-offish, it was more than obvious that he was hiding something but he was very quick to come up with this engagement idea. I was unsure if Rebecca could even handle his "maturity" but when trouble comes sniffing around she knows exactly who to call on. I was surprised to see this take a dangerous turn but the action pumps up the adrenaline level of the plot. Very interesting start to the series.

Rebecca is an author who is having a little writer’s block. She lives next door to a hottie but has not talked to him very much. She is not comfortable with crowds. One night she is chased by a bear and also finds her house broken into. Her neighbor, Isaias, rescues her and suggests she stay at his place. As time goes by he needs her help. Asks if she would be is fake fiancé. What a question? Should she or shouldn’t she? This will open up all kinds of predicaments. The bonus stories brings us into all sorts of paranormal.

Becky is an author trying to get another page written, and avoiding even thinking concepts like 'block' when her neighbor comes to her rescue. Isaias would be lying if he said he had never noticed Becky, but figuring out how they could fit in one another's lives had clearly been beyond him.
This quick read addresses a lot of timely topics, using shifters vs humans to broach topics of immigration most notably, and discussing things in a sensitive, meaningful, non-preachy manner that flows as part of the story.

Las diosas tuvimos el placer de leer esta historia y podemos comentar: La Virgen del Oso conjuga una historia que contiene un romance paranormal, intrigas, misterios, erotismo. Acompaña a Rebecca e Isaías, dos personajes tan diferentes que el destino los llevara a emprender una aventura donde el enemigo los estará acechando desde las sombras, donde los sucesos no son como aparentan ser y descubre que pasará cuando Rebecca descubra la verdad sobre Isaías.

This one made me cry for personal reasons.
If you are reading this, Mrs. Wylder, thank you, thank you, thank you.
I have always had this "problem" with me, and while I was reading this book I came accross this word "demisexual", I also laughed at the god part, but I had to use google to understand what it was.
And then, I cried, and cried, and cried, I couldn't stop.
Not even psychologists helped me as you did. The enormous weight on my shoulder just lifted because of one word, I have always thought that there was something wrong with me.

This is a sweet and romantic shifter romance with lots of action and a happy ending. Initially, Becky and Isaias plan a fake engagement in order for Isaias to get the matriarch of his bear clan off his back. They have both been attracted to each other for some time but Becky is very shy. There is a housekeeper and her child living in Isaias's house but she is a family friend. Add in some evil anti-shifters who try to kill them along with trying to out shifters as violent beings, it makes for an enjoyable read.

I got this book as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary review. Rebecca had writers bloc and decided to go for a walk to clear her mind. Walking back to her house, she sees her door is open and suddenly a bear attacks her. Isaias, the billionaire next door saves her. He wants her to be his fake fiance. This book is a love mystery as Isaias tries to understand why someone is out to get Becky.In the end, love conquers all.

Becky and Isaias are neighbors with a little bit of lust between the two of them, that never met face to face, until Becky’s house is broken into and a bear comes to visit. I am not one for spoilers so you really need to grab a copy to see what happens because; it is out of this world. Happy reading.

Becky has never be able to be herself and her past has caused her to have low self esteem. Isaias wants more than just a meaningless mating. Attraction cannot be denied, but both are hiding secrets. Will Becky accept that Isaias is a shifter? Will Isaias be able to rescue her in time?
Cute, steamy shifter read. Liked that Becky is easy to relate to. Loved how Isaias is determined to protect his little family at any cost. Good read!

I had no problem with believing in the characters or the plot. It is fantasy, after all. I can totally see Becky falling for Isaias after protecting her and saving her tail from a bear. I can also understand the Adela situation. She is like a sister to Isaias and not a love interest, so yes she knows about his shifter side. This quick read had lots of excitement and some suspense. However, I found the characters hard to connect with. The romance felt under developed, and the plot seemed to focus too heavily on setting up the next book in the series. I wished I could have liked this story more, but my overall thoughts on it is that it's ok. Not a bad or disappointing read, but not a great story either. *I received an ARC of this story and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Another well written shifter novel . I thoroughly enjoyed reading the entire book . It got me hooked right from the start and i absolutely adore Becky . Somehow,i can see myself in her hence that's why i can relate to this book soo much . Becky is a best selling writer living next to Isaias Durant and his housekeeper/'sister' Adela . Isaias is a pleasant surprise for me as for once,the hero is not a jerk and is quite the gentleman . Their relationship progress nicely and at a steady pace . :)

Bear vs Human
Stories can sometimes have part truths, religious zealots, do cause a lot of fights on their beliefs, Sadly. Nice about how a mystery, fights and love were brought in the story. Sometimes I like just the story in the book, but when you and other Authors and their stories it makes it harder to judge on rating. This rating is just the story of Bear Shifter's Virgin. Not the other stories which might not be as high of a rating.

Banal and book-stuffed
First, the title book of this collection is banal. The alpha hero isn't very alpha and the heroine's just wishy-washy. Good editing gives the story a full star, even though the writing is lackluster and the story absurd and contrived.
The author is also guilty of book stuffing adding in stories to pad the document length to earn additional revenue through the number of pages read. This is dishonest.

I got this through Audible, I got the entire series. This first book sounded decent but ugh.. wokeness alert, it hits anti religion, pro LGBT which wasn't necessary to the story but hey, sure, have MFC be "bi-sexual" but leans towards man. Ugh. No. This is supposed to be a fated mate premise, but with this thrown into the story, it ruined it. If the next book is a continuation of this book, I'll get a refund.
