I just had the worst day of my life. No, really. I lost my job, my boyfriend, and my home, all in one day.
How do I deal with the mess? I dart off to a tropical island and hope like hell I’ll be able to escape all the bad decisions I’ve made.
However, I drop right out of the chaos that is my life and fall into Beau’s arms, a man who seduces me with his beautiful eyes, gorgeous smile, and body to boot.
Not only do I have a mind-blowing one-night stand that results in an epic holiday fling, but I end up married simply because Beau needs a favor—the kind of favor that requires me to say, ‘I do.’
But no harm is done. It’s only a piece of paper, right? Something that can easily be voided.
Until we get home and Beau asks me one more teeny-tiny little favor.
Corinne was born and raised in Melbourne Australia, where she currently resides with her own family. After her first daughter was born she found her love for books all over again. Her nose always stuck in a book reading all the romance books she could find. Sometimes even reading a book a day! Fast forward a few years and her obsession grew, turning into a love of writing. Her first book debut in February 2018 and while it's been slow going there are many more to come, so watch this space.

That was a DNF for me because: a. I didn't like the heroine, she was stupid and annoying. b. the heroine's actions and incomprehensible life decisions were so dumb and illogical I wanted to holler c. the hero wasn't my cup of tea d. the story dragged mercilessly and before anything remotely interesting happened I was bored out of my mind and waving a white flag.
Stepping into the shoes of the protagonist of this author’s debut novel how can a reader not have any feelings for what Mia’s just gone through; striking out in her life by losing her lover, her job and her home all in one day. And to get away from all this, she decides to take a vacation in Hawaii.
Then you’ve got Beau, a guy a woman will have difficulty in resisting, with his smile, his eyes, and let’s not forget his physique. But he too, is also running away from this own set of personal tragedies and decides to go there as well.
But, when these two meet it seemed as if Kismet stepped in, as they connected and fell in love. Could it be that there’s some truth in Frank Sinatra’s song, Love is Lovelier the Second Around:
Love is lovelier the second time around Just as wonderful with both feet on the ground It's that second time you hear your love song sung Makes you think perhaps that love, like youth, is wasted on the young Love's more comfortable the second time you fall Like a friendly home the second time you call Who can say what brought us to this miracle we've found?
One of the things Beau needs to help resolve one of the issues he’s facing is a wife. A wife, so he can fulfill a promise of protecting a little girl he’d made to a dear friend. But, can Mia, fulfill his needs, without losing something more important and dearer to her, something every woman has a desire to have, which as we all know is a HEA.
Ms. Mazille’s storyline has a nice balance of being a sweet romance with just enough heat and steaminess to make it interesting. When you add in being fraught with twists and turns; you wind up with a novel definitely worth reading, for which it’s why I’ve given this book 5 STARS.
Would love for you to have a read and let me know what you think Blurb: A one-night stand on an island getaway might just save three lost souls. Beau needed to escape his grief after losing his best friend. Mia just had to get away after losing her job, her boyfriend, and her home all in one day. On an island, they met in a blazing, hot, one nightstand. But back home, Beau was faced with the ultimate challenge--providing a home for his best friend's orphaned little girl. Only he can't do it alone, he needs a wife to make that happen. Could the gorgeous redhead he'd left behind in the tropics possibly be the answer? A hot fling, between two strangers. A little girl, who suddenly needs a home. A grieving friend, who suddenly needs a wife.
I love a vacation romance. Hero and heroine had chemistry and couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. It was fun seeing them interact in Hawaii. I felt all too sad that their holiday ended way too fast, and reality came in.
I did think heroine didn’t communicate with hero as much as I wanted her to as she was always making her own decisions without telling the hero (eg leaving the hero behind).
Though the sexy times were hot, it would be nice if it was reduced and the focus was more on the emotional connection. Drama with Rachel resolved a bit too quickly.
To New Beginnings by Corinne Mazille was a story about losing everything you thought you wanted and needed to be happy only to realize that it was a blessing because you weren’t truly happy.
Mia and Beau are both running away from the things that haunt them when they arrive in Hawaii. What Mia believes is a one night stand turns into a vacation fling which turns into so much more when she tries to help Beau out of what seems like a losing situation. An idea that would help him give a loving home to his niece Olivia on paper turns into playing house. Mia is in way over her head but she just cannot seem to say no to Beau and all she wants to do is help him, no matter what it takes or how it may turn her life upside down. What Mia doesn’t expect is to fall for Beau and Olivia and she needs to leave before she gets in any deeper....or is it already too late?
I cannot wait to read Ella and Logan’s story next! I loved this story and I know you will too.
This book started out so very cliche and predictable. I started reading it aloud to some people and we were literally accurately guessing what was going to be said and done next. I put it down for a while because of this. After a couple months I decided to finish it before I wiped it off my kindle. So, color me surprised when I actually started to enjoy it and found myself sucked into the story. 3.5 Stars
I had the pleasure of beta reading Mia and Beau's story. I loved every minute of their journey. I couldn't put their story down. I also didn't want it to end. Their story had everything a reader could ask for. There's heart break, sexy times, laugh out loud moments, romance and it kept me on the edge of my seat. Mia, what a strong lead female character. Beau, sexy, loving and caring. Loved Mia's bestie Ella. This story starts with a bang and ends with H.E.A. I loved that it was set in San Fransisco and Hawaii. This was such a great start to this series. I can't wait to read more from Corinne. Great start for a new author and her first story. If you're after a light hearted, romantic, sexy and fun book, I highly recommend giving this new author a go.
Thank you Corinne for allowing me to read Mia and Beau beautiful story!!!!
I loved every minute of their journey. I couldn't put their story down. This was such a great start to this series. I can't wait to read more. I need more.
Mia is a strong lead female character. Being fired, evicted, and catching her fiancé being ridden by another woman, Mia has every reason to take a break from life. Her best friend has her back, that's for sure, and when Mia accidentally purchases a two-week vacation on ʻOʻahu it's that support that has her waking Mia up and packing for her before her flight at an ungodly hour the next morning.
Beau is running from grief and responsibility. When his best friend is killed along with his wife in an unfortunate accident he skips town and ends up on a plane soaring across the ocean. And then a stunning redhead bumps into him at baggage claim. A meeting that sends her fleeing in embarrassment intrigues him and when he sees her dancing and drinking at his hotel's bar? He's unwilling to let her run away this time.
All the best decisions are made with copious amounts of wine...until you wake up and have to face the consequences. Mia is stuck with some of the best consequences, though, when you compare drunk texting with a couple weeks in paradise. Except what she really doesn't expect is to find the rest of her forever.
A meet-cute followed by a bar encounter sets Mia up for the fall of a lifetime, she just doesn't know it yet.
Beau is running from grief and responsibility. When his best friend and quasi-brother is killed along with his wife in an unfortunate accident he skips town and ends up on a plane soaring across the ocean. The time they spend together in Hawaiʻi is passionate, fun, honest (to a point), and heartfelt. They connect in a way they never realized was possible. When Mia offers to help Beau when the news about Olivia is dropped on him he's reluctant to accept but she's determined to give him exactly what he needs. Mia sees something in Beau that she yearns for but doesn't know if she can ask to keep him. Beau feels the same but his life is in turmoil and with all the changes going on he's not sure if there's more in the cards for them beyond their island fling.
But fate isn't about to let them stay apart for long. Mia can only avoid Beau for so long now that they're back in the same city and when he asks for her help it opens them up to take up right where they left off. Their ups and downs are more cute and steamy than angst-ridden and chaotic. I enjoyed seeing them fumble through the reconciliation despite the potential for misunderstandings and hurt.
When situations came up where they needed to be true to their feelings they were betrayed by their mouths and that actually helped them overcome what could have kept them from their happiness. Thinking before speaking would have doomed them because of their insecurities and fears. It was when they were thinking too hard that they got into trouble.
The drama surrounding their union and family was resolved pretty quickly and painlessly. Well, except for the glass to the forehead and the knock to the back of the skull... I liked the ending very much. It was sweet, cute, hopeful, and very sexy. Every character in the story was interesting, even the villains. With a solid cast we're drawn in to their world far more than if this were just about a vacation fling and a fake marriage. Meeting each person through their interactions with Mia and Beau builds affection for them as people and curiosity about who they'll end up with and how. I'm absolutely in when the next story comes out!
Read and very willingly reviewed this ARC from the author.
This is a new to me author that I've been given the privilege of reading and reviewing for. I was definitely not disappointed. This was a very sweet, entertaining story.
Mia and Beau meet in Hawaii, both trying to escape from reality for a short time. Strangers meeting in unlikely circumstances, they spend some time together. However, life intrudes, and they make a few spur of the moment decisions that have unforeseen consequences. (I never saw it coming!)
Mia is a sweet girl, that is having a very bad day! Although she thinks her life sucks, it turns out that this vacation is just what she needs! She is a very giving person and puts aside what is probably best for her, to help someone else out of a tight spot.
Beau was just a guy living life. Until tragedy struck, and he felt like he had to get away from his life for just a bit. Turns out, he found what he didn't know he was looking for.
This book was full of twists and turns. There was plenty of drama and surprises to keep the story going, and I really enjoyed it. Beau and Mia are such a sweet couple, and their story was fun. This book is a perfect read if you are looking for a vacation read that will take you away from everything for a little bit!
Beautiful,Gorgeous,Sweet,Loving,Hot,Sexy,Stunning just what I needed. Gorgeous Debut❤❤❤❤
I've read a lot of book's and I have to say how excellent this debut book by Corinne Mazille is. I couldn’t put it down Mia comes home from a shitty day only the day turns worse how is that you need to read to find out.
But it turns around for her when she decides to go on a holiday and yes has a fling with a hot yummy guy named Beau who has also taken a holiday due to a tragedy in the family.
There is a twist I'm not going to give it away you need to get a copy to see how it all pans out will Mia get what she always has wanted love or will she just go home. And with Beau will things work out with the family issues.
There is fun times laughter and tears and the Charcters will pull you in you'll never want to leave.
Stunning gorgeous debut it really gets you there's love, happiness, sex, drama, heartache and passion. I can't say enough of how great this book is ❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤
Knowing that this is the author's debut novel I went into this book with an open mind. It did not disappoint!! I think that for a debut, this author did a fantastic job. This was such a great read. It had the perfect amount of romance, steamy scenes and suspense, and I enjoyed quite a few laughs while reading this book. Even though this book has a little suspense, I would still classify it as a light romance read. I enjoyed the characters a lot. Mia and her friend Ella were thick as thieves and always there for each other. I loved them. Beau had a family that was supportive, caring and protective and he was the exact same way, his brother Logan was another sweet one. I loved how Beau was with Mia and Olivia. I absolutely adored the parts with him and Olivia. I finished the book in one sitting. My only complaint was that I would have liked to have read about the family as a "whole," even if it was done in epilogue, but other than that I enjoyed this story a lot. I can't wait to read Ella and Logan's story. I would definitely recommend this book to romance readers that are looking for a light read with a little steam and laughs along the way.
This is the first book I have read from this author but won't be the last, I loved this book!
After catching her boyfriend making love to another woman in her bed, Mia fled to her best friends house to get drunk, and while she was drunk she booked a trip to Hawaii, for the next day.
After bumping into Beau at the airport she met him again at the bar and they really got on, so decided to spend their time there together.
After she had shared why she was there, Beau told her why he was and the terms of the will for him to get Olivia he had to be married, so they got married! it was only supposed to be on paper....
read this great book to find out what happens next.
I have already got book 2 to read as I want to know about Ella.
Corinne Mazille certainly knows how to make a debut! Super sweet, extra hot, with fantastic writing and characters that had me captivated from the start To New Beginnings won me over immediately. There’s not one thing about this book I didn’t love. Steamy romance filled with heart warming sweetness, an adorable little girl, a tight knit family, and fantastic friends. Who wouldn’t love that?!
Mia is adorably lovable. From her and Ella having my cracking up to how big her heart was, she was just one of those characters that’s fun to read. Beau was flat out perfection. Sexy and oh, so sweet the man is the total package. The sparks between them are instantaneous and just kept growing hotter with every page. Even with such heartbreaking circumstances, this book is still one of the most heartwarming & sweet books I have ever read. I couldn’t get enough of it!
What a beautiful story by debut author, Corinne Mazille!
I couldn't pass up the chance to read a debut story from a new author, I'm glad I took a chance! Once I started, I couldn't put it down, I was hooked from the very beginning!
Mia has lost everything at once and needs a nice vacation to get a fresh start. Beau needs to escape his family and memories when tragic hits.
I loved this beautiful story about Mia and Beau! I can't wait to see what Mazille delivers next!
I loved Beau and Mia's story. The writing and the plot was fantastic as the secondary characters. This was about two people with crisis in their life running to get away from it and ending up comforting each other with a whole lot of feelings and passion with insta-attraction and being someone you never thought you would be and taking that leapt and it was a beautiful thing. You will get all the feels with this story and more.
Wow, what a fantastic debut this is! I loved Mia and Beau from the start. This is a well written story, which flows seamlessly, and is a steamy, hot, sweet, and humorous storyline. This is an author to watch out for in the future, and I highly recommend this novel for all romance readers. I was hooked and captivated throughout, and cannot wait to read more from this talented author. Amazing work Corinne!
I voluntarily requested an ARC, which was kindly provided by the author, in exchange for an honest review.
The debut novella, To New Beginnings written by Corinne Mazille was an interesting story about losing everything (such as job, partner, home) but in a way all this loss is a blessing in disguise... giving you new beginnings.
Overall it was a quick read, a good balance of romance, sexy/steamy scenes and drama/suspense.
Mia is having the worse day with losing her job, home and then catching her boyfriend with another woman so she decides to take a break and goes to Hawaii for two weeks. She meets Beau who is also there escaping heartbreak from losing his best friend and wife so they have a one-night stand that turns into so much more when she agrees to marry him so that he can get custody of his best friend's daughter Olivia. Well written lovely story that is hard to put down.

Such a beautiful romance story filled with steamy scenes. I fell in love with Mia and beau within the first few chapters. Every girl needs a best friend like Ella. A well thought out story that will leave you with all the feels. I cant wait to read more from Corinne.
This is the authors first book. Wow, it is a beautifully written story. Mia, goes on a trip to forget about her ex. She meets Beau. Who later tells her his little issue. Together they come up with a plan. It was funny with a little bit of sadness. It had several twist and turns.
Awesome debut novel! Beautiful romance with a little angst thrown in! Mia and Beau both flee to Hawaii to escape their troubles. Mia- jobless, basically homeless, with a cheating ex. Beau- tragically lost his best friends to a drunk driver. Who knew a one-night (or one-week) stand could lead to happily-ever-after!?
There is a lot of love and support going on in this book series. I enjoyed the romance and its ability to just take me away from my troubles. I'd recommend for those looking for a light read at the end of the day!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is the first book in the series and the first I have read from this author and what a good well-written story it was I will definitely be checking out more in the future. I just loved both Mia and Beau they were fantastic characters that you cannot help but like I enjoyed getting to know them. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next one.
I absolutely loved this book, right from chapter 1 I was pulled into this story watching it play out in my head while reading the words on the page, that's how it was until the last word. There are some brilliant surprises in this story, some you will see coming and others you won't. I highly recommend this book, I personally do not think you will be disappointed if you decide to read this book. So worth the 5 stars I have given it.
Beau and Mia are running from things in their life's and a one night stand seemed like something to get the minds of their troubles but maybe its meant to be more. This is a great starter for a series!
