BENTLEY (Rogue Billionaires, Book One) is a standalone romance with a guaranteed HEA BENTLEY I haven’t felt the compulsion in a long time. I thought it was behind me. But something about her makes me want to let go and give in. Explore the darkness lurking deep inside of me. Her skin is soft, pale. I want to see marks where my fingers dig into her curvy hips. I want my teeth etched on her smooth flesh. The sound of her voice makes my c*ck grow hard. I think about those small hands stroking me under my desk. Want her on her knees, peering up at me, asking me what to do. We would never work. She’s pure. I’m not. My scars go deep. My secrets are too dark for her to understand. But my need to dominate her won’t be denied, no matter how much I try to control it. Right or wrong, it’s going to happen. SAMANTHA Bentley Strongwell. My new boss. Dark scruff on his sharp jaw. Sexy lower lip. Eyes that are a brilliant green. His suit stretches across a broad chest, and tattoos peek out of his shirtsleeves. He is sex personified. He’s not just demanding. He’s ruthless, hell-bent on controlling everything around him. Including me. I hate it. Well…kind of. There’s something insanely sexy about the way he takes control. He doesn’t raise his voice. He doesn’t have to. He gives me one look, and I know that I’m going to do whatever he wants. Get on my knees. Take him in my hand. Let him dominate me and mark my flesh. As cold as he is, the man radiates a sexuality that makes me ache to be around him. But he’s my boss—an older man in a position of authority. I know I should stay away from him. And yet something about him makes me want to pry beneath the surface and find out why he is the way he is. It’s true when they say be careful what you wish for. Because the only thing that could threaten Bentley Strongwell’s hold over me is the darkness of his past…
I love it when a book manages to pull me in from the very first page, and that is exactly what happened here. Despite all its misgivings (and there were quite a few here), the writing was nice and I went through the story rather smoothly. But there were misgivings here, as I already said. The main one being this - the book was simply too short for all the ideas the author had for it. The characters had layers to them, which we were not able to unravel in an organic way because we did not have time for it. A lot of interactions between the characters were skipped or glossed over, in order to fit in all into the book. And in the end, all of that rushing around made the story look shallow and undeveloped. And that's a shame, because I see how it could have been better.
First book I’ve read from this author and it wasn’t too bad!! It was about a girl who has made some mistakes and instead of owning them she runs from them and a sexy billionaire who has his own deep secrets he is running from himself! I loved Bentley he was sexy, dominating and a good guy with a troubled past. Samantha I couldn’t really connect with. She seemed a little weak to me, but overall I enjoyed the book! There still was a lot of unanswered questions and there was a cliffhanger. Will there be a book two?!
⭐3 Stars-Average (It was good but nothing to brag about),
Standalone; dual POV; 17+readers; HEA (except for the cliffhanger) But not on the main romance, just an added bonus that seems to conclude in book 3 from what I've been reading.
This read was raw. Dominant and submissive characters, quick read with lots of fast forwards to specific scenes. It was enjoyable to see a Dom/Sub relationship without too much drama, until there is drama. I found the Dom/Sub to be raw and in some ways romantic.
I'm definetly looking forward to reading the next book in this series, though all books can be read as a standalone, I believe book 1 and 2 have a cliffhanger but not on the main story just an added bonus that concludes in book 3.
I can't wrap my mind around the fact that Bentley's parents never put him in therapy. What I type of parents think it's okay for a traumatized child to hold in on to their pain? Bentley's parents are open and loving people, so I find it odd that they didn't get him help.
Samantha's subplot was meh. Her barging into the professor's house showed a lack of immaturity and self preservation. You don't want to be alone with someone who has nothing to lose. The scene was ridiculous. She could have said what she needed to outside.
The story between Samantha and Bentley was interesting and not always believable. Each character has some demons to face, and I wish the author would have made Sam a little stronger. I think if main characters had been given more depth, growth, the story could have been even better. Honestly, that could have happened because the story was short. I wasn't totally sold on reading the next books in the series until the message at the end. I do love a good mystery tangled into a romance, which is a redeeming quality of this story.
This book is another hit! AMAZING, FANTASTIC, Just doesn't cut it. It is so much more. Fast paced, Hot and Sexy, but one you can't put down. Nor do you want too. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I am on pins and needles waiting for it to see what happens next. Where it will take me. I an so ready to take this ride. And Tank Goodness it is on Amazon Unlimited, or I would not be able to read this Fantastic series.
The 1st half was great, the 2nd half was rushed & awkward. But I get it, it's supposed to be a short. Glad there wasn't too much sub/dom crap, or at least having the setting in one of the sub/dom clubs - legit hate those. Glad she confronted her lit teacher & I'm glad she went back to school. I'm also glad she took her chance & quit on his ass when he was being such an ass to begin with & held her stance while doing so.

I can’t say it enough. This book was totally awesome. It showed how our past can hold us back from a greater us. We have to be willing to live or we just take up space. Bentley and Samantha are amazing together. Two strong souls who feel anything but strong g. It realize together they can do this and be there for each other
Oh. My. God. THIS! Bentley and Samantha’s story is so full of push and pull you can’t help but feel every emotion in this story! So Good. The only thing that was bad was the cliffhanger and that’s because I am the worlds worst impatient reader and have to know everything NOW.. especially when the book is this good! FLOVED
I enjoyed the book and felt Bentley’s guilt and heartache. His courage in seeking Samantha out and opening up to her was so loving. My only problem was the ending. I hope the hunt for his mother’s murderer is continued somehow in Ryker’s book.
This book was too short for the story the author was trying to portray - if that make sense. The storyline was very promising and the characters were likable, but it was all crammed making it a mess.
This was an enjoyable book with likable characters. I am very interested to see what happens in book two and if Bentley finds the answers that he is looking for.
here's what I don't get when you say it's a stand-alone that means that there is no Cliffhanger going into the next book so you may want to change that in your description
I did like this story, even though it has an FSOG feel to it. I like how Bentley comes to his senses and opens up to Samantha. On to book two to find the killer.
Well, I just couldn’t get through this one. I felt no connection with the characters, and I didn’t feel the connection between the characters themselves. Something was definitely missing.
When i started teased the book i was draw into it non stop. Couldn't put down. I had to find out his darkest secret was. Now I'm wondering about his message he got at the end. Is this the end?
