I’m his nanny, and that’s it…. but that’s just between us. To everyone else we are husband and wife now, even though I’m still a virgin…. But that secret is just between me, myself, and I. Although, every time I catch his dark, watchful gaze I wonder how long that secret will last. I’m not a prude, but I wasn’t about to give it up for those college idiots. I had to get out of there, and with what he was willing to pay me to just be a nanny, college just didn’t make any sense. I soon found out that there was more to this job than I knew. He needs me now, his daughter needs me. He seems dark and hard, but that’s just the life of a Navy Seal. The life of a man who would do anything for his daughter and his unit. This little pretty thing, wide-eyed and innocent, answers my call for a nanny. I seem to do that to girls though. When I ask her to marry me to fix the ex-wife problem, I know she wants to resist me. But those little glances she gives me after dinner, the way she helps my daughter after her accident… I can’t get enough of her. But falling in love is too risky for a man with my kind of career. At any time, I could be injured. I might never come home at all. I should just stay home with my daughter, but then how would I know she was truly being protected. “ Fake Marraige Single Dad Romance” contains adult language and situations. It is intended for mature readers. It is a standalone story that won’t leave you hanging in any sense. HEA is guaranteed.

Short but oh, so good

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
I like short and novella reads but I'm not a huge fan. However, this short novella just did it for me. I expected it to be on ugh side of things. However, I enjoyed the relationships that blossomed not only between the adults but the step daughter as well. Best ever, everything was wrapped up in a way that if J.J. Bella wanted to revisit and expand with a follow-up tale, there would be no issues.

Meh

I read this all the way through hoping it would get better; it didn't. The story was good, sweet, and charming, but I couldn't get over the writing. An editor was seriously needed. It almost seemed as if the book was translated from an other language, some of the phrases just didn't fit or were awkward. The story really was good, it just needs some editing.

JJ Bella is an outstanding author who pens stories that will fly you away to another far away place with romance in the air. There are tough alpha male heroes who are passionate, protective to the T, sexy as can be, with wicked thoughts and dirty deeds just floating through their minds whilst they give you that scorching "come hither" look that the heroine is just going to melt and let him do whatever he pleases with her. And she won't object unless he stops! A character such as this is Peter in this story. He's a Navy SEAL with a b**** of an ex wife and an adorable daughter whom he loves and will do anything to protect her. he could have just about any woman he wanted by just clicking his fingers but when he advertises for a nanny / wife he finds The One he needs and is instantly attracted to is young student, Rachel who is equally attracted to him but whilst they get married to one another she is really just the nanny. They marry to help him keep custody of his beloved daughter. But then his daughter is hurt. one thing leads to another and emotions are high. Lust and passion that fuel the chemistry between them combusts, sparks and sizzles till they have to take a breath. Will they have their HEA? You will need to read this fast paced story to find out. I loved the way Peter and Rachel "danced" around one another trying to deny their growing love for one another. It was also wonderful to "see" how Peter was with his daughter as the caring Dad and then his lust filled deeds with Rachel and his love for the men in his unit who react as one when needed to on a mission. Their characters do develop as they begin to trust one another and Rachel gains confidence through his love. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. A real page turner that I sincerely hope you will enjoy!
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

Hot and sweet

Single dad with a witch of an ex who couldn't care less for her daughter but would take her away from her living father if the opportunity presented itself.
Rachel has no clue what she wants to do with her life she's just left college and is looking for a job while she sorts things out. She answers an ad for a nanny position less than two hours from home. She's surprised when she gets the job and even more surprised at how well she gets alone and genuinely cares for Isla a passionate nine year old who has stole her heart. When Isla breaks her ankle during dance class while her father's away working as a Navy SEAL her mother takes the opportunity to threaten the nanny and Isla's father.
Rachel can't imagine such a wonderful father and daughter being separated and agrees to the idea of marriage to keep the family together only to realize not only had the daughter stole her heart but the father as well. This is a hot and very sweet standalone with a HEA

Peter and Rachel -wow what a story - JJ Bella has another winner. Pete is a divorced Navy Seal with a b... of an ex wife and an adorable daughter. In an effort to keep custody of his daughter he hires Rachel as his nanny. They enter into a ruse of a marriage to help him keep custody of his daughter. There chemistry and attraction is off the chars. No spoiler here - but lots of drama, suspense and plenty of twists - a great romance. I received an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

Loved It!

I loved the charachters in the story of Peter, a divorced Navy Seal and Rachel, an unhappy college student and the love they share for his daughter, Isla that brings them together. He’s a 35 year old Navy man who serves mission after mission for his country but whose mission is to keep his daughter with him so he hires 20 year old Rachel, who is wise beyond her years to work as his nanny. Their journey to finding love is endearing!

This is the first book I have read by J.J. Bella and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Peter, a single dad, needed a nanny to look after his little girl. The instant bond between Rachel and Peter's daughter Isla was awesome. Isla helped Rachel find her nitch in life while taking care of her. I never really felt the marriage between Peter and Rachel was fake. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

This was a great quick read about a navy seal single dad, his adorable 9 year old daughter, his horrible ex-wife and the unexpected nanny. I loved the relationship between each of the character especially Rachael and Isla. Things flowed smoothly from start to finish and gave us a great love story.

RUSE: Fake Marriage

This starts out with the Single dad, who was a Navy SEAL. He has custody of his daughter. He needed a nanny since his ex was a witch. Now he hired the heroine but when his daughter injured herself the ex wants total custody. This is where the marriage of convenience comes in. But will it stay that way? The sparks between them are intense.

Ruse

Under any circumstances one would never, ever leave their child without contact information, authorizations for medical treatment, emergency contact numbers for a young child. That part needed to be tweaked.

Other than that, the book was sweet.

This story is short and an enjoyable. This book is the first book of JJ Bella’s that I have read. Because of this, I wasn’t sure on what to expect. I needn’t have worried though as the writing style is easy to follow and the characters are likeable. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I will admit that I did find parts of the story slow.
I liked Rachel. I liked that she didn’t crumble under pressure. I liked Rachel’s bond with Isla. I liked how loving she was towards her. I also liked what Rachel was willing to do to help Peter keep his daughter with him. I did see some chemistry between Peter and Rachel but not much. I think that was because Peter wasn’t in the story much. As he was away for work a lot, there aren’t many scenes between him and Rachel. That being said, I liked the last quarter of this book. I liked Peter and Rachel together. I liked the chemistry between them at the end.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.
