Rate this book
Alexis is a girl who just wanted to live her best life. Although she had her first child at 19, she made sure it didn't interrupt her fun. She was purposely single and loved to party. Alexis was the kind of girl that could either be your best friend or your worst enemy. She had a fiery attitude that landed her in jail more than she liked. She got into a fight and had to spend more time behind bars than she was accustomed to, so she decided to change her ways.
She met a man named Maurice. He was so different from the guys she usually dated. His personality was unique and she was mesmerized with him. After a short honeymoon period, Maurice turned into a monster. He verbally, physically, and emotionally abused Alexis relentlessly. When she finally found the strength to leave, she entered a new world with new challenges and heartaches.

It's Me. Her. The Housewife chronicles the journey of a young woman who learns the hard way what it means to be a woman, mother and wife. Will she triumph in the face of adversity, or will she succumb to the demons that torment her?

Omg

Wow. Is all I️ can say. This book had me on an emotional roller coaster. I️ laughed and cried so much during this book. I️ also was always rooting for “Alexis” to hand out ass whippings. Some people can be so evil..I’m just glad “Alexis” grew to be the woman she is and was able to accept those children especially from the ones I’m sure she hates. I️ read this book in a couple of hours. It was too good. Very proud of this body of work

Very well written book, I have to give credit to Alexis for over coming her struggles to become a wife and mother, she like most of us made a lot of mistakes, and tried to correct them.

This book would be considered an 'urban novel.' I enjoyed it as a fun quick read. The story flowed and the writing was solid. The main character admitted to being very immature and violent in her youth and slowly grew out of it. She was in a very abusive relationship that produced two children. One of which is handicapped due to her father beating her mother while she was pregnant with her. What kept me from giving this book 4 stars is that the main character seemed to move on from trauma with very little growth or impact. I can't see any mother being beaten into an early labor just forgiving the man and moving on. Especially when that beating will effect that child physically for the rest of her life. Forgiving him to the point of allowing visitation. But... maybe that's just me. Some trauma changes you and, in this book, the only lesson the main character seemed to learn is that she could get arrested for being violent so she would often think twice.

I can’t believe what I’m reading

Ok, this was a good book but the craziness that went on from page to page had my mouth open. I had to remember other people were in the room with me while I was reading. I felt like I was part of the story putting my sneakers on ready to join the fight. I love the way you chose to write the story it was like me and my best friend talking while hanging out. I was rooting for you then I was pissed then I wanted to throw my iPhone just to pick it up again to see what the heck was gonna happen next 😂. I would never had guessed the events that took place.

The point is?

What a crazy ride, but not sure about this one. Domestic violence is one thing, but add excessive drinking and drugging by both parties and it's added disaster. I didn't like Alexis at all. She had low self-esteem and was ratchet. I guess she really did find love with Chris, and taking in all those kids sort of redeemed her. But I didn't see any qualities that pointed to her being a good mother or role model. Really not sure what to make of this book.

Different

This is differently a different type of story. The title is true but not at all like you think it may be. A good quick read. It sort of sends you through each emotion. Give it a chance you may like. A good break from the ratchet I like I will tell you that! Lol!
