Peter Woods had never expected to find a soulmate. After his time spent as a mutant, turning into a wolf had become a painful transformation. Quain Ilves planned on spending his life alone. As a seer he had no vision of a future partner especially after wizards captured and tortured him. Two lost souls found each other through the interfering hand of fate. Now it was up to them to grab onto their happy ending and not let wizards, parents or outside forces pull them apart.
Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.
When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.
During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.
Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.
She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres..
This was book 16 in the "Moon Pack" series. Peter Woods was a mutant whose pack was killed by the crazy scientist when he turned them he was safes by Anthony the demigod and turned back. Quain Ilves was held prisoners by the wizards he is a lynx shifter he is also a seer when he has a vision of his mate Peter he gains hope of making it out alive. When the pack begins looking for him he is able to get out but he is hurt and unable to shift because of a bracelet. When Quain shows up at his garage Peter is happy to see him he takes him to see Anthony to get the bracelet off. When Anthony's grandfather Zeus comes to him in a vision he tells him that he will be protecting him. When he tells him what Zeus says Anthony agrees to pay him for his service. Another God is after Anthony and Silver will do anything to keep him safe and so will the rest of the Pack. I liked this book although the couple was ok I wanted more of Anthony and Silver and what was going on. This book was well written like the other books in this series with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
This is how you combine Anthony’s storyline and yet not take away from the actual couple in the book.
I enjoyed Peter and Quain. Quain was such a strong character. I did feel for him when Zeus railroaded him and his talent but Anthony is better at dealing with people than Zeus is. Peter is a broken wolf and I’d like to see him connect more with his wolf.
I actually enjoyed the progression of Anthony’s storyline here as it didn’t overpower Peter and Quain’s mating.
The wizards are continuing to cause problems, but investigation reveals that only Oliver was kidnapped and tortured. Other wizard families had some attacks, but the influence was covered up.
When Oliver goes to meet with the wizards, he finds death and destruction with hints of cat shifter activity. The revenge and rage are about to explode.
Pursuing Peter is the 16th book in the Moon Pack collection. I really like most of the books but this one just wasn't the best to tell the truth. It was still good don't get me wrong but it felt really like a transition book. Or maybe a better way to say is it's there to move the overall plot along and not a full stand alone story in and of itself. So if you going to read all the books then yeah read away. As a solo book don't you would be so lost.
Rating: 3.5 stars I thought this to be a very good addition to the Moon Pack story. Loved Peter. I was glad he was able to find his mate and be happy after all the trauma of being a mutant. Quain is new to the story and I really loved his character. I thought the two were good together.
My main gripes are with the story itself. We are told pieces of some of Quain's visions. I would rather we had been able to witness them as they were happening. Also, this story ends in a cliffhanger. I'm just hoping that the author is a bit quicker getting out the next installment. I'm wondering if it will be Quain's Quandary or something like that. Overall, I enjoyed this story. I think if you are fan of this story you won't be disappointed.
Love these books - great novellas ~ sexy, entertaining and fun!
It appears there will eventually be A-Z and there is plenty of room for it to go even beyond that. It is very entertaining with interesting characters and unique twists in each story. They do need to be read in order - each group of MC's have their own story but there is an overlaying back story that grows throughout each book.
Peter Woods is a mutant whose pack was killed by the crazy scientist and rescued by Anthony (?) and Quain Ilves is a Lynx shifter+seer and has been under captivity by some wizards.
I really don't know how this seer thing works and there are several places that I thought it was contradicting to what was said before. The book ends in a cliffhanger.
The first part of the story was a bit difficult for me to read since Quain was being tortured by wizards. I was so happy when he finally escaped and found his mate, Peter. The plot was intriguing yet intense but it was a very compelling read. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. :D
Quain is a shifter seer and is captive when during a vision he meets his mate Peter. They meet once quain is freed and the hunt for the magicians who tortured him takes place. A nice sweet story with some heat.
Quain is a Lynx shifter and a seer. He has been a captive of the wizards who have been torturing him to get him to reveal his visions. They forced hi to wear a bracelet that keeps him from shifting. One day he has an unusual vision of a handsome wolf shifter named Peter. Usually Quain is just a watcher in his vision but in the vision of Peter, Quain is actually able to talk to him. Quain decided that means that Peter is his true mate. Peter promises to find Quain and free him. Several days later there is a disturbance and heavy magic hit the house where Quain is being held captive. It breaks open Quain's cage and he is able to escape. He sees Peter and other members of the Moon Pack who invaded the house. A few days later Quain tracks down Peter and asks his help to remove the bracelet. Peter takes him to Anthony but seeing Anthony triggers a vision. Zeus wants Quain to be Anthony's adviser and seer. Peter used to be a mutant wolf and still feels horrible about the loss of this pack and family to the scientist who tried to make them mutants. He also regrets the things he did as a mutant. His wolf is broken and cautious. Peter never dreamed that there would ever be a true mate for him. When he discovers Quain, he is happy to have a mate even if his mate has a unique set of problems. Will he be able to keep Quain safe from the wizards hunting him?
I love this series. Ms. Kell is one of my must have authors and she has done fabulous on this one. I have been loving this series for book one and they just keep getting better. Well written with well developed characters. I am sooooooo looking forward to what comes next.
