Ryan Castle is the leader of his pack, sworn to protect the wolves who follow him with his life. If that means testing out a magical wishing well for himself, so be it. The well is supposed to show wolves their true mates, and he’s a dedicated bachelor… so, what can it hurt?
Omega Dylan Johnson has been in love with his alpha best friend since childhood, but Ryan is entirely unaware of his feelings. Dylan has moved on with his life… he now has a son and an ex-wife. Yet, still, he pines after the man who has been with him all along. When the opportunity comes for the two to take a trip together, Dylan jumps at the chance – but just when it seems like he might finally get an opportunity to make his move, horror strikes: he receives word that his son has gone missing.
When a leisurely trip turns tragic, two men race against time to find a missing child before it’s too late. As old memories are brought to light, new discoveries are made and long-held secrets are revealed, no one involved will ever be the same.
This 100,000-word wolf shapeshifter gay love story tells the tale of a one-sided love that might not be so one-sided after all. When the safety of a young wolf child hangs in the balance, the passions and emotions between two lifelong friends will come to a boil. The steam rises to sweltering heights in Friends to Lovers, a gay paranormal romance novel intended for adults only.
Because oh my goodness this book felt long winded. I think in trying to provide a complete picture of a scene or scenario, the author ended up going way too overboard. The dialogue in this book makes up maybe 1/3 of the bulk. There were so many other things that truly could have used further details. For example - I did not care about any aspect of a park that was described in painful detail, but I really wanted to know why these two got married, but didn't live together. a divorce was not amicable, yet they acted friendly enough. I also never truly felt the connection between the two main characters. It just didn't not do it for me I suppose.
Better than the first book, howeer, once again, i don't really feel any attachement to the characters, i don't understand why Dylan took the decision he took and so on... I am very confused about the idea of true mate here since they don't seem to be able to recognize them by scent for instance... I think this serie is not for me.
A enjoyable book that I liked far better than the first one. "Friends to Lovers" flowed smoothly at an even pace and once I started reading I didn't stop until the end. Alpha Ryan the pack leader seemed so lonely in the first book and I wondered why, now I know. From the outside looking I Ryan looked like he had the perfect life and was completely in control. I could tell that wasn't the case even in book one. He was like a man in a deserted island just going with the flow. He had his pack and was always there for them but they were more like Associates or employees instead of friends. The only real friend he had was Dylan, an omega, who had been his best friend since they were kids. One drunken night years ago Ryan and Dylan crossed over that line of friendship. They never talk about it afterward and although they remain friends it puts a strain on their relationship. I want to say more but that would give the book away. I'll just say it becomes intense, a crazy ex-wife, kidnapping and a race against time through three states. I really enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Well, this book was an excellent read from start to finish. Dylan and Ryan are two werewolves who have known each other since diapers and they maintained their friendship into adulthood. Dylan an omega in love with Ryan since middle school hid it well and Ryan an alpha hid himself very well...from himself. Dense as a board at times, he's neglected to notice that the baby that Dylan had after a one night adventure between the two of them looked just like him. Divorced now from the woman that Dylan married to hide the pregnancy, leaves him stressed to the max as he tries to decide what he should do about the situation. Then Hunter is kidnapped and Ryan follows the lead as the two try to find the kidnappers before it is too late. They find out about Hunter missing as they are a wishing well trying to find out who their fated mates are. A lot of confusion, stress and insecurities leads the reader on this adventure between the two men. Mpreg adds deliciousness to the story. An excellent read that anyone who enjoys Mpreg, mystery, friendships to lovers will find to be true.
Well, I liked this one much more than the other Preston Walker book I read. I’m glad that I went into reading this book not realizing the connection between the two books, as it allowed me to read this without prejudice. I liked the idea of this story. I did feel like it dragged a bit, though. I’m also not a big fan of However, overall? Not bad. 3✨
I hate it when the MCs have been in love with each other for so long but never do anything about it and let the other move on with their lives. There was nothing keeping Dylan and Ryan apart. They were idiots for never acting on their feelings and I place most of the blame on Dylan.
It was so stupid of Dylan to just suddenly marry someone else. He lied to basically everyone and never felt any responsibilities or guilt about it. He blamed Ryan for being too dense and blamed Arden for what happened to Hunter. None of this would've happened had Dylan been truthful from the beginning.
MM, shifters, Alpha/Omega. Dylan and Ryan have been friends for years and have both hidden the truth of their feelings from one another. Dylan has hidden something far more and it frustrated me. Why not tell the truth? Even when he hints at it, it only gets worse. Ryan frustrated me as well, unable to make up his mind even after he reasoned through everything and seemed to make up his mind. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I really enjoyed Ryan and Dylan's story. I loved that their friendship was the foundation of their eventual mating. My heart broke a little seeing how much Ryan cared for his pack and yet had resigned himself to being alone.
I wasn't entirely clear about why Dylan wasn't honest about Hunter from the beginning, but I was very flag that everything turned out, in the end. I can only imagine how panicked and helpless Dylan felt when Hunter disappeared.
love love love love looooooooooooooooove this so much.. amazing.. so amazing. this series is so much fun. i am so in love with these characters and i love the writing. i am so glad i got to review it
Well written love story of two friends. Ryan and Dylan both in each others lives forever but just not sure how to tell each other. They take a journey within themselves to find each other.
This book was so good I will tell my daughter and sister about it. I worried some and I laughed some. It's what I like in a book. Romance, a little action and a happy ending. I love your work. Can't wait to read the next one.
This book is a very satisfying read. The characters are indepth and also grow with the story. They have real world worries and thoughts. It is also worded very well and has a very safisticated feel to it.
Quick and easy read. Interesting Plot however it's K-Drama like plot. but liked so much, had fun while reading it, especially when Ryan met his son. <3
Delicate and perfect under all aspects this story development is amazing, the plot is original and very well written. It’s worth reading for the amazing characters and the passionate and intricate events they are involved in. One book to own....
