No good deed goes unpunished... Or does it? Moira Darling is enjoying some well-earned downtime after a hectic Halloween.
With spare time on her hands for the first time in quite a while, Moira is more than happy to help a friend’s relative find a place to stay in town. She doesn’t expect her act of goodwill to thrust her into the spotlight as a murder suspect.
While Moira fights to prove her innocence, she discovers something about a family member that will change her life forever.
With a twenty year old secret out of the box and the police on the hunt for a killer, the desperate deli owner is frantic to make things right…before it’s too late.
When Cozy Mystery author, Patti Benning, isn’t busy plotting the deaths of multiple fictitious characters, she loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Max, who is her bestest writing buddy.
Patti loves to cook and the food in her books has been tried and tested in her very own kitchen. She’s technologically shy, and stays away from social media a great deal, because it makes her feel more awkward and introverted than meeting someone face to face.
Writing is the perfect job for her because in her books, she gets to explore all the topics she loves, food, animals, crafts and reading. She loves her readers dearly, and is thankful for the opportunity to share with them through her work.
Halloween has come and gone and Moira is looking toward Thanksgiving. After learning that the aunt of one of her employees is looking to purchase a home in the area Moira volunteers to help her and recommends a realtor. Unfortunately, her act of kindness takes a turn when Moira finds herself the suspect of her neighbors untimely death. Moira agrees to stay out of the investigation despite her need to be proven innocent of suspicion. In the midst of this she learns that her past had a secret that will change two lives forever. This is another great addition to the Darling Deli Series. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but, wow, one of the storylines in this book could really lead to something interesting. I always enjoy the characters in these books. They are well-developed and interesting. I always enjoy the plots. They are interesting and move at a nice, steady pace. I recommend this book.
This kindle e-book novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book 27 of 33.
Moria Darling's next door neighbor is complaining about her dogs. Allison's aunt is moving to town and ask for Moria's help. They go to the neighbors house which is for sale. They find the owner dead in the basement. Is it murder? Who did it? Moria and David do some investigating but with no clue. By accident Moria meets the killer leading to the arrest.
I would highly recommend this series and author to readers of romantic family and friends relationship adventure mystery novels. 2024 👒🐕😉🎎🏡
My daughter wants CHINESE FOOD FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER
Her life is as busy as MOIRA'S and after cooking for her sister's wedding 150 guests on Nov. 11th then preparing THANKSGIVING dinner for our family of 32, she is all cooked out. So like our cozy friend MOIRA , who on occasion Rrhas DAVID bringing home catrry out and this book would make me want carry out, my daughter is having CHINESE for 32 people from being so worn out. MOIRA deserves a break after all that goes on in this very busy cozy. I know you will love it as much as I did. Carol VANATTA
Wow, this story had me up at night reading until my kindle hit me in the face. Moira was just trying to help someone find a place to live, then crazy stuff started happening. Her neighbors were acting weird and angry, yelling at each other. Murder, mysterious things going on, hiring private investigator, real estate agent acting suspicious. Check out houses history, before buying.
Moira can’t wait for Candace and Eli to come visit. In the meantime she’s helping Alison’s aunt find a home to buy. The homes owner is murdered and for awhile Moira looks like a top suspect. Look for major surprises throughout the book.
Love this series and this author! Ravioli Soup Murder is a wonderful addition to an already stellar series.
This is a well written story with a murder thrown in. Moors finds out a secret that will impact Candice forever. Excellent read and thoroughly enjoyable.
So much happening during the slow time after Halloween, for Moira. Ugly neighbor, murder making a new friend, finding a major secret. My, My Patti does not disappoint. Great reading, again, and the only thing I complain about, your books are not long enough. LOVE THIS SERIES.........
Don’t blame the dogs. They are good boys. This one is a winner. New friends, new relatives and getting cold outside. Good mix for murder. This series is always full of excitement.
Who would have ever thought Moira would be accused of murder again? Thankfully she walked away from it alive. Cannot wait to see what she has in store for us in the next installment.
I received this book in return for an honest review. Moira is back again and is having trouble with a neighbor. Just when it looks like her problems might be taking care of themselves, murder strikes, right across the street. This seems to happen a lot for Moira, but that's was makes the book. Just when things seem to look up for her and her family, there is always a set back in the form of a murder or two. Candace and her new husband are trying to move on after their own setback and now the story is taking on a very interesting new turn.
Things are slow at the deli so Moira is enjoying her downtime while she can. Things will pick up after Thanksgiving. She agrees to help a friend with finding a place for her aunt to purchase, only to find a dead body in the basement of a house. I have to admit the author totally stumped me on the the identity of the killer! While Moira was searching for the killer, an even bigger mystery popped up. Patti Benning sure knows how to keep her fans interested!
