POWERFUL. Encouraging, sad, with an over coming attitude and a vast amount of support.
In the back of the book was also a list of resources for those needing help while going through the scary journey of cancer. So truthful too. She said to prepare to lose friends. And I have. She also talked briefly about the Red Devil chemo treatment and she spoke honestly about it. Things have changed since she wrote this book but not that much really. Not the emotions, and not the challenges. It's a book well worth reading even if you think "It could never happen to me!" Oh, yes it can !
This book is a first-person account of the author’s metastatic (Stage IV) breast cancer battle. It was included as part of a Gracie Gift bag filled with items to offer comfort to a women undergoing cancer treatment. I received my own MBC diagnosis six months ago, and I drew inspiration and hope from reading Gail’s story even though her battle ended in 2015. Her name and legacy live on in The Gracie Foundation.

This book is about her cancer experiences and although every woman’s journey is personal, Gracie shared from her heart. I appreciated her words and this book opened my eyes to what might lie ahead for me in my cancer journey.
