She’s sheltered. He’s steadfast.

Sage Marlowe was born with grace and care.
Loving her religion and understanding her place in the compound was drilled into her from the moment she could walk. Never leaving until she was a teen, she had no clue of the outside world.
She didn’t understand that she had choices, or could have opinions. She didn’t know she could have freedom.
Meeting a man that called to her heart changed her submission. Gave her a reason to fight for desires she didn’t even understand.
Forced to make a choice, the foundation on which her beliefs are based are rocked to the core and she knows her entire world will never be the same again.

Forbidden love is as elusive as Eden’s garden.

Lochlan Hogan is the youngest of three brothers.
Quiet, loyal, fierce, Loch knows nothing about love and passion until she steps through the doors of his shop.
She walks in beauty and grace. Ash blonde hair, crystal blue eyes. The girl with no name calls to his soul in every way.
She’s shrouded in mystery and elegance. He wants her something fierce.
His obsession with her forces him to do things he wouldn’t normally. Following her back to her home, he’s shocked to find that her beliefs are dipped in sin and shrouded with lies.

Together their love is UNCHAINED, but will her family let her go when she’s already made her vows?

**Disclaimer: Please keep in mind this is a series revolving around three brothers, and while the titles could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order, especially as we see interactions with Loch and Sage in book two.**

Loch is quiet, loyal, and inexperienced in certain things. What he knows is that he enjoys working at the shop with his two older brothers, and is happy they've each found the woman for them. It appears Loch has met his one also, but there's complications. For her, he'll fight, he'll do things he'd never thought himself capable of, and he'll win.

For Sage, she's barely experienced anything outside the compound, never known she had the choice to make her own decisions. And she's never questioned that aspect of her life, her religion...until him. She begins to see that things aren't always as they seem, and maybe her future isn't what she thought it would be.

What does this mean for Loch and Sage? Will Sage walk away from everything she's ever known? Will her parents let her? Is Loch prepared for how far he may have to go? Is a HEA possible?

One-click now and follow along as two people, one believing her life was already fated, meet and realize some things, like love, are worth anything, regardless of the cost.

Unchained by K.L. Donn is book Three in the Hogan Brother's Series. This is the story of Lochlan Hogan and Sage Marlowe. I have read the previous book which added to my enjoyment of this one but I did feel it could be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Sage is a daughter who is being raised in a cult with a very abusive father who has plans to marry her off to a very abusive man. When her mother starts having car trouble it leads her to meet the Hogan brother who run a garage. But Sage is the one that catches her eye and makes her wish for a better life. Sage is the youngest of his brothers and is more of the quiet one but he is hit with instant love for Sage. When he starts to feel that she isn't being treated right he learns of her deadly circumstance.
This was a great page turning read for me.

* I received an arc for my honest review *

I've read One Chance (Sophia and Nox's story) and One Choice (Levi and Hayes's story) who are both older than Lochlan (he's the baby brother of all of the three Hogan brothers), who are alpha males, protective, possessive, passionate, tender and loving towards their women, Sophia and Hayes, so I knew Lochlan was going to be the same as his brothers. A caveman with a soft side only reserved for his mate ;) ♡

I loved the connection that Sage and Lochlan had with each other ♡ they didn't need words, their eyes communicated how they felt ♡

Sage has been through so much in her young life (between her upbringing, her father's cold demeanor and how he wants to control everything even going so far as to try to marry Sage to an evil and older man, Morgan; luckily she escapes from all those burdens) but she's a survivor and with Lochlan's help and his family's support, especially his mom who I love :) she'll have a real and loving family; the family she's always wanted to have, at the end, she's happy, loved and filled with joy with her children and her man, Lochlan and his entire family and their growing families ♡♡

Loved the end and I can't wait for more from K.L. Donn :)

Great book!

Loved Lochlan, aka 'Loch' alpha to the max! Swoon! Sage was such a brave woman! Suffered so much, felt so sorry for her. Much stronger for it.

This book pulls you right in and doesn't let go!

Loch & Sage’s story is filled with so much emotion. I have to say this, to me, was an EPIC read and I loved every moment, from the beginning to the middle to the end. The characters (Loch and Sage) drew me in from the start and kept me hooked all the way until the very end, in fact I didnt want their story to end. I laughed, I cried, i oohh and ahhh'd and the story took me on an incredible journey of love, of loss, happiness, anger, of heartbreak, and doubt. Together, Loch and Sage must fight for their chance at love and a life together against everything they have ever known. Loch does it for me in this book, he truly shows what he is made of, when he fights for their love and Sage-GAH, that girl who looks so fragile really has a core of strength about her, she fought for their love.
This is one book that will have you rooting for this couple, will have you on the edge of your seat and will have you again rooting for the Hogan Brothers –I cant get enough of those sexy Hogans. KL has done it yet again with the FEELS in this story ; this is one story that will stay with you long after the book is over. Don’t miss out on this latest Hogan addition!!!

Oh my goodness, it seems I've been waiting to get my greedy little hands on this book for so long and boy did it deliver!
I just knew before I read it that it was gonna be awesome. The characters all drew me in from the start but I knew Loch was going to be my favourite.
The story is so beautifully developed, well rounded and really well thought out and executed. The writing just draws you into someone else's life even for a little while and it's so wonderful how the author can do that with every book. I laughed in this book but I cried alot too, and I even shouted at my kindle a few times. It's just so emotion packed and I felt bad at how quickly I read it as I just couldn't put it down! If you haven't starting reading this series then you are REALLY missing out!

Trigger warning: physical and verbal abuse (on page)

Safety:
-Heroine is 17 in the prologue, she turns 18 a few chapters later
-Dual virgins
-Switching POVs
-No om/ow drama
-No cheating
-A year and three years later epilogue

This book is so fucking sweet
"What I feel for her is beyond love, it's more intense. It's harsh and overwhelming. She consumes everything I feel when I'm not with her, and my every cell when I am."

"When I'm with him, I feel. Not just safe or happy, but I really feel. Everything. Like the sun is warmer, the sky is brighter, the nights are longer and shorter all at the same time. He brings out a side of me I've never seen before." Ashley's face softened. "I breathe easier when he's in the room than when we're apart. I don't fear all the things I've yet to learn in your world. I anticipate them--good or bad. When he walks into a room, the air crackles and the fine hairs on my arm stand on end."

Their vows were so B E A U T I F U L
"I love you more than life"
"I love you more than faith"

Unchained gives us Lochlan and Sage's story, which was kind of set up in the last book. Although that one felt like a filler to bide the time until this book, this one did not really live up to what I thought it was going to. It was cute, but a bit too sugary sweet particularly towards the end. It was also suspenseful in parts but when it came down to the big confrontations, it was more tell rather than show. Also, how were Sage's parents not immediately arrested the first time she was brought to the hospital? The cops were there and she had clearly been severely abused/almost died, yet the cops did nothing? And then the hospital staff just let them take her again? Like the last one, this one also could have used an editor. I did like the glimpse ahead to the future though.

5 FAITHFULLY stars! This book will rock your world. Loch Hogan is going to ruin you sweetly (mark my words)

K. L. Donn has done it again! Her writing is too addictive and her men are so intense, protective and devoted. I thought that Nox and Levi ruined me forever nevertheless Loch wins my heart. He is the sweetest of the Hogan Brothers.

Unchained is my favorite book in the series. It was a great reading. I enjoyed every page of this piece of heaven. It is hard to give only five stars to this book because it deserves more. The best of the best.

I don't have enough adjectives to express how much I loved this book. It touched my heart to the core. It rocked my world. My beliefs were shaken. It is really sad that people use them to hurt. To believe in God is something precious and pure that shall be never tarnish with selfishness.

Sage is my favourite heroine. After what she endure with her family, she stayed strong. She is a young girl whose beliefs were broken. Her parents who must protect her from evil were the ones who put her in danger. Her world will end and beging. Meeting Loch is the signal she needed to brake the chains that keep her captive.

“This girl, she awakened something in him. His heart stood up and took notice when she was around. His mind screamed she couldn’t be real.”

Lochlan Hogan is mesmerized by the girl of blue and sad eyes. He haven't had interested in women before, not until her. Sage will be everything he wanted but far to reach. The age difference will make him to keep his distance. She is the angel who brighten his days.

When love happens there is nothing that can block it. The sparks and the fierce butterflies in your tummy stay with you for ever. There is nothing that can destroy love. Not even a number or a belief.

“Sage was… everything. No matter how much he tried to free her from his mind, it bit him in the ass ten-fold. She just popped back up like a cavity.”

The age difference will be a tin barrier. Sage and Loch are meant to be together. They were destined to meet in the worst/right moment of life. Their love will be fast and steamy.

“Being with Lochlan was the only thing in her entire life that she ever had control over. The way he made her feel, the way he spoke to her. She wasn’t just some girl to him.”

I love to read more about Nox and Sophia,  Levi and Hayes. The oldest Hogan Brothers who support her little brother. At the begging they will have their doubts because Loch fall for a girl he hardly met. They were protective of his brother.

“I want you, Angel. From the first moment your icy blues clashed with mine, you’ve stolen my every thought. You’re all I think about.”

This book has the elements that any romantic girl wants and desires. It mixes taboo topics, sick obsessions, faith, hurt, hope and love. K. L. Donn delivered one of her best books. I need more of the Hogan Brothers. Ryder also needs his own book. I wonder what happened to him. This can't be the end. This series has more potential to be exploded.

I highly recommend you this book. It can't be read as a stand alone but who can be satisfied with only one brother when there are three Hogan Brothers.

From the moment Lochlan Hogan laid eyes on the beautifully mysterious girl with ash blond hair and crystal blue eyes, he knew she was the one for him. The problem was he had no idea who she was and she was never allowed to speak in his presence.

Sage Marlowe was a child of her upbringing. Unfortunately for her, that upbringing was based on a strict religion preached by her father on an isolated compound. When she is finally allowed to accompany her mother off the compound for the first time, she realizes there is much more to life than she ever realized . . .including the strong and handsome mechanic that helped fix her family’s station wagon. Seeing how others outside of the compound live, if only in brief glimpses allow Sage to realize that she wants much more from life and is willing to fight to get it . . . even if that means going against her god and her family.

Loch realizes the beautiful Sage is sheltered and underage. But, he yearns for her . . . he also somehow knows she is in danger. He’ll do anything he can to make sure she is safe and happy, even if it means breaking down the walls of the compound she lives in.

Together, Loch and Sage must fight for their chance at love and a life together against everything they have ever known. Will it be enough to break Sage free from a life she no longer wants and allow Loch to give her everything she has ever dreamed of and more?

KL Donn has really outdone herself with Unchained! I couldn’t wait to find out about the mysterious young girl who kept appearing at the Hogan brother’s garage and this story was all that I could have asked for and more. It has more twists and turns than I could have ever seen coming!

I love Lochlan (he is now most definitely my favorite of the brothers! His love for Sage never wavers, even though they hardly know one another. He is sure and steadfast and ready to battle anything and anyone he needs to in order to slay her dragons.

Sage, while barely an adult has seen more than her share of hard times. She is much older and wiser than her years and determined to get the future she wants and deserves even if it means questioning everything she has ever been taught.

Theirs is a beautiful love story of determination and discovery, of romance and strength as they fight their way towards one another against all odds and obstacles constantly thrown in their path.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the way KL Donn has woven this plot to give Loch and Sage the story they deserve. 5 stars!

“One day at a time—this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering. – Ida Scott Taylor

Enduring words from a novelist born well before our time, and an apt description for KL Donn’s Unchained, the story of Lochlan, youngest Hogan brother, and Sage Marlowe, daughter of a Bible-thumping fanatic who used his power to terrorize his people.

KL Donn caps off her Hogan Brother’s series by tackling an issue not always acceptable to most readers—the use of religion to bend others to their own twisted agenda or beliefs.

I agree with the author when she said that the story was not an easy one to write. I myself felt heavy-hearted going into the first few chapters, reading how Sage suffered through degradation at the hands of her own father who, in the guise of purifying her supposed “unclean” spirit, subjected her to physical and emotional abuse.

Thank God, then, for Lochlan, whose faith and love for Sage enabled her to find the courage to break free and learn to find herself again.

If you are someone who does not like the idea of reading a romance story revolving around religious beliefs, I still would encourage you to read Unchained. Or if you are of a particular faith who grew up with a strict belief system on the bible, read it, still. Read it for the hope, love and faith that Lochlan and Sage want to share with you. Read it, for the simple reason, that whatever happens, whatever experiences we may go through, faith, hope, and love will always pull us through.

This third book in the Hogan Bros. Series is the most emtional one and I loved every word of it!!!!

This is the third book in the Hogan Brothers series, but can be read as a standalone. I recommend reading book one and two before reading this one because it does give insight into the secondary characters and makes for a more enjoyable read.

This third book centers around Lochlan (aka Loch) and Sage. Loch is the youngest of the Hogan brothers and in my opinion the most feeling of the three. He is also part owner of Hogan Bros.' Mechanics and Restoration along with his two older brothers. Loch first sees his angel when she comes to the shop with her mother to have their car looked at. He feels the pull the instant their eyes meet. Sage is beautiful, but she's also young and the first few times Loch sees her he doesn't even know her name or how old she is, but Loch can see the pain and sadness in her eyes and he wants to make her happy and he's pretty sure her home life is what's making her feel this way. Sage was born and raised in the closed off community that is run by her father, the bishop. Get this book today to see what happens when these two come together. Be forewarned this book will definitely stir up your emotions and keep you guessing throughout the story to the very end. With the amount of brain washing, lies, betrayals and everything else this book is an exciting read and a great book to close out the Hogan Brothers series.

This was my favorite book of all three books. This book was a little sad, sweet and spicy 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and romantic.

This story revolved around a young woman named Sage Marlow who was raised by a violent mother and a cruel mother. Her father was the head leader of a religious cult. One day Sage went with her mother to a auto body car shop for their car to get looked at. Sage locked eyes with Lochland Hogan. Lochland is the youngest of his brothers. He is sweet, loyal, fierce and loving. The minute he sees Sage he knows that she is his. He sees that she is troubled and follows her and her mother to the place where the cult is.

Lochland is able to get her away from the terrible place. She has been injured by her father and is put into a hospital. Lochland knows that he is in love with Sage and wants to have her as his wife. He makes sure that she is taken care of after leaving the hospital by his mother. In the end they get married. Lochland and Sage are cute together as a couple. There are spicy I🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ moments between them. I loved how Lochland was very sweet and protective of Sage. This book reminded me of Tillie Cole’s Hades Hangman series which I also loved. I enjoyed reading this book.

It has been said that people come into our lives for various reasons but nothing is by chance. That’s exactly how I feel about this third book in the Hogan Brothers Series, Unchained.

This book impacted me in ways I wasn’t expecting! Loch and Sage are an amazing couple and one who went so far just to come together. I loved that this wasn’t just some normal boy meets girl, they fall hard and girl gives in quickly. This story is a whirlwind and there were several twists that had me grasping for more. Loch was always the quiet of the three brothers and I was super excited when we finally got to his story. KL Donn definitely didn’t disappoint and as cliche as it is, this was worth the wait entirely!

Sage is strong even when she is at her weakest. “Whatever happened doesn’t have to define you. It will make you stronger as you grow...” This is just one of the many messages throughout the book that touched me to my core.

KL Donn has out done herself with this one and is honestly one of the best books that she has written. After this story, you will question your loyalty for sure... Team Nox, Team Levi or Team Loch.

Well being a good girl never dressed me up well but for Krystal will do my best she wants a spoiler free review and believe me this book is so beautiful you would tell about all the amazing parts she wrote in her always amazing and surprisingly breath taking way, this book is difficult different and was really weighing on her since the first time she started writing it. You reading you will experience everything she did while writing because it’s so easy to feel l through her words, that Loch and Sage will be there beside you and you will sporting an idiot smile and goos bumps all through that even more beautiful and so KL Donn the end. Krystal you are an amazing person and an extraordinary writer and this book rocks! Rocks emotions tears and smiles. It’s a story a lot over the pages walking on the images feeling a bit more free and limitless, where the fear crumbles away and rests the cosciente that life needs to be lived every instant..... You would be said you are no miracle but you will be able to find another way in the soul....

Omg I can’t believe what an amazing story this book is. KL Donn has not only delivered on a fantastic story but made me feel every emotion whilst reading it. I was happy, sad, crying and over joyed.
This is the story of Lochlan and Sage and how if you want it bad enough time will give it to you.
Lochlan never thought With one look his heart would belong to the sweet girl who popped into his garage with her mother, now all he needs to do is get the courage to talk to her but that’s not going to be as easy as he hopes for. Witt time and patience Loch finally takes control and does what he feels that should be done and rescues Sage.
Sage has a life different from most but until a short time ago all was right then over night everything changed, when she spots Lochlan she knows she has to get to know him but doesn’t know how so sets out about making it possible.
Come follow Lochlan and Sage as they try and find there way to there HEA. Sage believes with faith everything is possible.

This book is book three in the Hogan brother’s series. This book is Lochlan and Sage’s story. As soon as an arc of this book arrived on my kindle, I dived in. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I found this story truly emotional. Sage and Lochlan’s story was an emotional rollercoaster. Whilst reading this book, I went through a few emotions. Anger, sadness, happiness and peace. Without giving anything away, I truly HATED the villains in this story. If I even confessed on what I wanted to do with/to them I would either be arrested or be placed in an insane asylum.
This may sound weird but I love the way Lochlan and Sage’s names seem to mesh perfectly. I liked both characters and the chemistry between them was clear to see. I truly wanted them to get their happily ever after, especially Sage. Sage truly deserved happiness after all she had been through.
Although an emotional rollercoaster, the storyline for this book is easy to follow and a heart warming read.

This is a story that will grip you from the start and having you reading like there is no tomorrow. I did not want to put it down. Loch feels so connected to her from the first time he looks in her eyes and it is that strength of a bond that takes him on this journey. I admire his determination, his feelings and absolute devotion. Sage... oh she is amazing in her inner strength. Truly someone that will not be defeated. This is a story of love, of commitment, of battles to fight and hills to climb but the journey is one you want to take with them. Of course I love checking in with the other Hogan brothers and I am hoping that there is more to come from the other guys at the garage. I can feel they have more stories to tell, I just hope they are talking!

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I must say KL you have outdone yourself with the last Hogan brother which I have to say thank you for saving the best for last. Lochlan is happy with his life he's glad his brothers have found their girls and to be working with his two best friends also. Enter the beautiful and sheltered Sage who was raised with absolutely no outside influences in her life and never knew that she had choices. One look is all it takes for Lochlan and Sage to know that they are respectively each other's soul mate. This endearing tale will pull at your heartstring and have you wishing for nothing but the best for them. Through every trial and tribulation they love has always shone brightly an Lochlan and Sage know that they together they can wade through anything.

Raw. Heartbreaking. Loving.

Lochland and Sage’s story is one of strength and courage. Their story is one that tests the bounds of love and trust. Sage is a woman who basically has been held captive by her parents her entire life. When she meets Loch at his garage she is immediately drawn to him but because of her upbringing she isn’t allowed to talk to him. As her 18th birthday approaches life for her at home becomes unbearable. Her father has chosen a man for her to marry. She wants no part of it, she wants Loch. Being pushed and punished by her father, she is nearly broken when Loch finds her. Loch vows to keep her safe from her “family” but when they surprise her with an unexpected visit leaving her totally alone, how will Sage survive without her protector by her side?

Seriously one of the best and most emotionally driven stories I have ever read. I laughed, cried, and went on an incredible journey of faith, love, heartbreak, and doubt, only to be once again reminded of the power of love and redemption.

KL knocked this one out of the park. I am still trying to recover and want to go back into this world and visit.

I left a little piece of myself with this book, I'm not sure I will ever get back, nor do I want to.

KL always does an amazing job, she has such an incredible way with words and an ability to draw you so completely into her world, but this book is beyond even what I could have expected from her. And as a favorite author of mine, I expect a lot.

A shining example of why she is forever an automatic one-click must-read author for me.

What can I say about this book. Well for one thing it broke my heart. But luckily it put it back together again.
Sage is such a sweet young girl that lives her family and the Lord. But things are changing and she does not understand these changes. She looks around for answers and does not find any. But then she looks into the warm gaze of a young man and her life changes forever.
Loch Hogan was the youngest of the brothers. He knew where is was heading and had his life mapped out. He was part of the Hogan family business. He was just minding his own business when in walked a young girl that would change his life forever.
Now the only question is will these changes be for their good or destroy them forever.
Read and find out . I loved this book and could not put it down.

Unchained is the story of Lochlan and Sage. Lochlin is the youngest of three brothers, who is very quiet and reserved. He’s a think before you speak kind of guy. Sage is a girl born to a situation that most don’t understand. She has been secluded from the real word and taught how to act, what to think, and who to be. A chance meeting between the two shifts both of their lives.

I absolutely fell in love with Lochlin in this book. And Sage showed that with strength, faith, and love you can overcome any obstacle. “Our love is stronger than faith.”

KL Donn has this amazing ability to suck you into her stories and not let you breathe until the end of the book. I have devoured everything she’s written to date, and fallen in love every time.

Unchained My Heart

KL has knocked this one out of the ball park. I am definitely #TeamHogan!! There is something about 3 Alpha Men that will do anything to protect their women is so sexy! Having seen the young beauty at his families shop Loch knows that there is something about her that calls to him. Sage has. Lived her entire life on the compound and she knows that she needs to do something or else she will be stuck in a life that is out of her nightmares. So when she sees Loch at his family shop she knows that he is who she was meant to be with. Fighting Faith and Villains Sage will do whatever it takes to make her dreams come true. When these two finally get together it is definitely swoon worthy. I absolutely recommend this series as a must read!!!

At times gut wrenching but with the most beautiful love story. This was the note I wrote myself while reading this book.

Lochlan and Sage have the most beautiful and saddest story to tell you. You will fall in love with them, you will cry for them, you will want revenge for them. This still has the hot, male possessive hero that KL has in her books and her strong woman who stand up and fight as KL does so well. This book will leave you wondering what did I just read and you will want to read it again. Guaranteed happily ever after you just have to get through the wickedness first.

This is the third book in the Hogan's Brothers series, need not read in order, but they will blend together better if you do.

Wow - this was an emotional story! Although the other 2 Hogan brother stories are also chock full of emotional angst and drama this one definitely takes the spot as winner in those categories. I enjoyed it a lot but wouldn't say it was my favorite out of the trio... There is a LOT of time spent on Sage's situation and issues and I found less on the relationship between her and Lochlan.

Still a really great read and if you've read the other 2 you were probably anxiously awaiting Lochlan's story (like me!) so definitely give this one a read. It could be read as a standalone but recommend for full enjoyment and understanding of the Hogan family dynamic to read books 1 & 2 first. Safe read.

This was a book worth waiting for. I could not have asked for more from the final book of the Hogan Brothers. Once I started the book, I could not put it down until it was finished. It had me entranced from the beginning, and I was biting my nails throughout the book. Loch and Sage made the perfect couple. I loved the religious aspect to the book, and that Sage did question everything. It made the book more realistic, and I could really believe what I was reading. I am sad that this was the last brother, but I cannot wait for some of the other characters that we caught glimpses of!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

Imagine the people who should love you and protect you not doing that. Wouldn't it destroy you? Sage is the sweetest most caring person who believes in grace and forgiveness. Loch is obsessed with the mysterious Sage. Even though thier interactions have been limited there's a pull between them. Unchained is a very emotional story about faith love and betrayal. KL Donn takes the reader on a crazy emotional ride that will leave you reeling long after you've finished. You will question how and why so many times. I wish this story had a part two because I definitely want more of Sage and Loch. This was a stunning read with lots of painful and sweet moments.

I loved reading about Lochlan and Sage.

This book really had it all. Mystery, romance, suspense, love, heartbreak and everything else in between. Sage is such a young character but also a bit wise and strong for her age. She went through some terrific situations but she had the love of a great guy by her Lochlan was the strong silent type but when he and Sage met he knew she was it for him. I so recommend this series to everyone who appreciates happily ever afters even though you have to go through some muck to get there. It well worth it!!!
