Rose Lancaster has watched her two sisters find new lives and loves in the New York rock scene, but she’s too busy running her animal clinic in rural Maine to join them. When straitlaced lawyer Greg Lister drops by on band business and gets wind of her predicament, he offers to help, and although Rose suspects it may come with complications she doesn’t need, she accepts. For a New York hotshot, he sure seems more than happy to spend time at Rose’s Maine retreat ensuring the service is completely personal.

This one might have been better to read after reading the first two in the series. It felt like the story was continuing from the previous. It didn't take long to figure out the base of the story but I think I would have known more where Rose's head was at if I had started with book one.

Overall, this is a cute story. It's a very slow burn. Very slow. Rose and Greg spent most of the story tiptoeing around their attraction to each other. We see more of Rose and the trouble she is dealing with from the town council who wants to put her rescue out of business as well as her bitterness towards her fathers sudden appearance in her life.

Rose grew up in a hippie family where she has two sisters and three mothers. These three mothers were groupies to a band that left thinking the band members didn't want them around anymore since all three women were pregnant. 25 years later and the band members reconnect with them. I'm not exactly sure how since I think that was described in book 1.

While I enjoyed the story, I did leave off feeling like I didn't know enough about the family and the town council harassment never really got resolved either. It was good but I do need a bit more from my books. I'll have to go back and read books 1 and 2 to see if this book makes more sense to me.

This is the final story in this Red Hot Love series and true to her name, Rose blossoms when she falls for Greg.

Rose has watched both of her sisters fall in love over a short space of time but didn’t think it would happen to her. She gave up her dreams of being a vet and runs an animal shelter on the family farm. She dedicates her life to helping injured animals and often spends the night at the clinic where she can monitor them 24/7 if needed.

She is surprised to know that Greg Lister, lawyer for Red Hot, also shares a love of animals. He has a dog that he dotes on and he also grew up on a rural property, like Rose. She just assumed that the Manhattan man was a city guy born and bred. His visits from the city to Rose’s farm seem to be more frequent these days and Rose begins to look forward to him visiting.

There is definitely a simmering attraction building between them and her sisters have noticed it too. Running a clinic comes with it’s own set of issues though, the local town council seem hell bent on finding reasons to shut her down and some other enemies are making their intentions known in some pretty nasty ways.

Rose would love to realise her dream of being a vet, expanding the shelter and being able to gainfully employ people to help but Greg delivers news that could change everything. It may also mean saying goodbye to a possible future with him. Everything seems to be falling apart and when tragedy strikes one night it feels like nothing will ever be right again.

I really enjoyed this final instalment in the Red Hot series. There is an epilogue that gives an insight into each of the sisters a wee bit into the future but that big gaping question from the very beginning is never really answered. I think that’s a good thing though because their definition of family is really what matters most in the end.

Rose concludes the Red Hot Love Series. Rose is the last of the sisters to get a HEA. We met the MMC Greg in the other books, because he is the attorney of the Band Red Hot. But here he becomes Rose's Attorney and Pillar to lean on if she accepts it.

The story was beautiful too.

Damn I finished this book in just one day 😄 I loved Rose because i love animals . She is loving and good hearted woman who helps animals in need of help.

Greg is a lawyer who is handling Red Hot's legal issues . He likes Rose and approach her . I liked the chemistry between them . There wasn't hurry they both waited weeks until the first kiss . That's kind of my read ❤

I love the Red Hot series and have enjoyed reading about the sisters falling in love. This one was enjoyable but not as enjoable as the first two. I just found the love story a bit off and with the location different it had a different essence about it but I would still recommend this whole series and I love how Rose was a devout animal lover! There were many parts with how she worked with the animals that touched my heart.💝

•••••••••

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--ROSE is the third instalment in Elle Casey’s contemporary, adult RED HOT LOVE romance series focusing on three ‘sisters’- Amber Fields, Emerald Collins and Rose Lancaster. This is attorney Greg Lister, and animal rehabber Rose Lancaster’s story line. ROSE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

Told from first person perspective (Rose) ROSE follows the building relationship and romance between attorney Greg Lister, and twenty-five year old, animal rehabber Rose Lancaster. Greg is the attorney for the 90s rock band Red Hot but our hero struggles between head and heart as his attraction to Rose places Greg in a compromising position. As the representative of the men whose lives have changed Amber, Emerald and Rose, Greg is unable to reveal the truth to the woman with whom he is falling in love. What ensues is the building romance between Greg and Rose, and the potential fall-out as Rose, and her animal clinic are targeted leaving a heart broken Rose in the wake.

Rose has always wanted to be a veterinarian but life and the quick take-off of her animal rehabbing hospital took priority in her life. Meeting Red Hot’s high powered attorney Greg Lister allowed Rose to consider her options for the future, options that would be quickly destroyed when the truth is revealed.

The relationship between Greg and Rose begins as a business arrangement as Greg is the purveyor of some intriguing and heart breaking news. Time together, and distance apart force Rose to reconsider what it is she wants to do with the rest of her life. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble of colorful secondary and supporting characters. We are re-introduced to the members of Red Hot: lead singer Red Wylde, drummer Mooch Gyllenhaal, rhythm guitar Cash Stagger, bassist Paul Goldman, and former band member Darrell Ford, as well as Amber and Ty, Emerald and Sam, and the girls’ mothers Barb Fields, Carol Collins and Sally Lancaster.

ROSE is the final instalment in Elle Casey’s RED HOT LOVE romance series focusing on three young women who never knew their fathers but had always wondered about the who and why. The character driven premise is moving; the romance is spicy; the characters are spirited and sassy.

This is the 3rd book in the series and is about the last sister ... Rose. Rose has always wanted to be a vet, but when hurt or abandoned animals kept showing up to her house, she opened their barn to them and became a rescue instead. The sisters find out about their fathers when a lawyer (Greg) comes to tell them they will each receive a bundle of cash and all they have to do is acknowledge their fathers ... who are legendary rock stars. Greg's only client is the Red Hot rock group and when he goes to rural Maine to tell the sisters of their fortune, he can't help but notice the beautiful Rose. When Rose's shelter gets broken into and she starts getting prank phone calls, she doesn't know what she did wrong and can't believe that anyone would target a dog rescue and shelter. Greg helps Rose with a legal matter and when he becomes aware of Rose's problems, he can't help but get involved.

I know that Rose and Greg are into each other and I just wanted to tell them to get on with it already, but I guess that's what happens when 2 sky people like each other ... they do a lot of tip toeing around each other. This is a cute romantic comedy with a little bit of steam. I would advise to read the first two book before this so you get a better sense of what's going on. This last book ties everything up, nice and neat.

I received an ARC courtesy of Montlake Romance and Amazon Publishing UK through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

This book is the third in a series of three by Elle Casey that is about one of three children that are children of a famous rock band. We learned in book 1 Amber, that the band just discovered that "they" fathered these three daughters 25 years ago. None of the band members or the mom's know which daughter belongs to which band member but the band wants to now get to know their daughters and give them what they didn't as they were growing up. The daughters however do not share the same opinion. We've followed the story in the second book Emerald, and finish out with the third, Rose. There is a lot of emotion in this book from funny to sad to love scenes. A light, upbeat read that I couldn't put down once I started. I now only wish there were more daughters so that I could stay in the lives of the characters! Once again, Elle Casey will not disappoint - I highly recommend this book!

I Don’t Want It To End

Rose is the final book about the three hippie sisters that live on a commune and get their lives flipped upside down. I’ve adored reading this series so much. Elle Casey has a tendency to keep me on pins and needles with a few of her series and I LOVE HER for it. Casey is by far one of my favorite authors and has been since the very first book of hers that I read, Rebel in 2013!

I’ve been quite invested in this series and absolutely applaud the author for her remarkable creativity in all three books - “Amber” was the beginning - “Emerald” gave us more story line, more answers - “Rose” concluded the family dynamic of this very riveting story. Rose is the most intelligent (IMO) of the three sisters and the most compassionate. I was so excited to read her book because I already knew some of her through her behavior in the last two novels.

“Oh. I get it.” “You know about the sister code?” “Is that the code that says you can’t date your sister’s ex-boyfriend?” “That’s exactly what it is.”

Rose runs a free animal clinic that sits right on their commune. She takes in sick animals and uses her big heart to heal them if possible which is most of the time. She is also the most dedicated out of the sisters. When I realized who she was to fall in love with, my eyes bulged out of my head and I knew this book was going to be choc full o’ awesome! My only regret was that in some way her love story was a bit rushed and I would’ve loved to have felt more of a connection between these two incredibly different people. What I did read though was absolutely compelling.

“The universe throws people into our paths that we never expected to meet, we’re given opportunities that we never thought would come our way.”

I would absolutely love to read more about this “unusual family” in the future. I am completely on board for ANY future novel, novella, you name it - I think this family could still tell so much, though if this is truly the end then I am very satisfied. I enjoyed each and every moment I spent reading these books. Thank You Again Elle Casey! You have such an amazing gift to write, I look forward to anything you might have up your sleeve in the future.

Original review: A Novel Glimpse

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

★ ★ ★ ½
If you haven’t read the Red Hot Love series, it’s the story of three women raised as sisters on a hippy commune in Maine. Their mothers created the commune to hide them all from their rock star fathers. When the men learned about their possible daughters, they sent a lawyer out to contact them to offer a meeting with the band and a large sum of money. Each book is about one of the sister’s experience of falling love and getting to know the men who could be her father. Rose is third and final sister Rose’s book.

Rose was my favorite book in the Red Hot Love series. It still had an insta-love feel to it like the previous books, but it was less of one because of Rose’s beau. Greg Lister, Red Hot’s lawyer, has been around since the first book and his relationship with Rose felt like a natural progression. The timeline in the book did make the blossoming of their relationship feel fast, but that was okay for me. I really liked Rose and Lister together.

Another thing I really liked was the bit of mystery surrounding Rose’s animal shelter. Things started happening and I thought I knew where the story was going, but I didn’t. It went where I wasn’t expecting. I liked that.

My biggest gripe with this book was the conclusion. We. Still. Don’t. Know. Who. The. Fathers. Are!!! It killed me. I have wanted to know this from the very beginning. It’s kind of why I started reading this series in the first place! This isn’t really that spoiler-y because I feel like I knew I wasn’t ever going to find out, but STILL!!!

Even though I didn’t get my answers, Rose was a fun, quick read. It was a good ending to the Red Hot Love series. I think fans of this series will really enjoy it.

Reading Rose, I remembered right away the rather peculiar background of these three young women. I mean, not everyone is raised by three mothers with a very liberal idea of relationships, fathers and love. Okay, and sex. Obviously. Sert against this really interesting background is the story of Rose, the third of the three sisters. Unlike her sisters, Rose spends all her time in her sanctuary, the animal clinic, caring for a couple (or more) stray animals and taking care of them when they are ill. She doesn't need the big city and, well, usually she doesn't mind being alone. When her fathers' lawyer Greg turns up and somehow never really leaves, things start to change. It's Greg who has her back when her clinic is in danger of being shut down and it is Greg who proves to her that no matter what it looks like now, he is also an animal lover and, well, he might not exactly be the city guy that he seems to be at first glance. When things fall apart and her clinic is in danger of being shut down, those two will have to decide whose side they are on and what they feel for each other.

I really enjoy the books by Elle Casey and Rose wasn't an exception of this rule. Rose is the third book in the Red Hot series about the three daughters of the band Red Hot and I loved every one of these books. Amber, Emerald and Rose are really amazing and I loved to read about them and the men they love.

Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.

This book is the last book in a trilogy, and I strongly suggest reading them in order as they don't quite fit as a stand alone. Loved the cover...but the blurb is what caught my eye.
Rose is the last of the three sisters to find a guy. Of course she doesn't seem like she's trying since she lives in the middle of no where and keeps a non profit animal shelter going. Greg comes to town with some legal stuff for the band and suddenly Rose could use his services since the town is trying to get rid of her shelter.
This is a fence book for me...took awhile to get into since I hadn't read the first two but a few things kept me from enjoying this novel. One... the use of our mothers.... I guess I'm not up on my hippy commune wording but only one mother per child...right? I started off thinking this was a homosexual mothers relationship. Just because they don't know who the dad is doesn't mean the mother isn't known....right? Second..when Rose goes on a tangent about all the things she could have..... didn't the lawyer just say she had ten million dollars? Then the relationship with Greg started out tepid...I like to see a real good attraction. So fence booking it. Three stars.

Disclaimer... I did not read the first two books. This one was given to me as a free review copy. I have read several other books by the author and loved them so I was excited to try this one. I think if I would have read the first two I would have had more of a connection to the main characters. Having said that... I liked the book and will go back and read the first two.
Rose is a sweet and strong character. She is really finding her way in this book with her family dynamic changing and coming to terms with wanting more than just her work to fulfill her. This book is not heavy on the sex but more about the romance and discovering each other which endures the love story to you. There is a little mystery/drama when someone tries threatening Rose’s livelihood. She is facing the city council who want her animal shelter gone and a lone bad guy who just seems to have a personal vendetta against Rose. In this book you have family, drama, love and we can’t forget the sisters! Rose’s sisters are awesome and even their little bits here and there in this book sold me on going back and reading their stories. All in all a solid book.

A good enough ending, but not what I wished for

Rose’s story definitely had more of a mystery twist than the previous two books. The mystery kept me hooked as much as the adorable animals and the love story did. I really enjoyed getting to know Greg better finally. I knew there had to be more under that cold facade. I’m still team Amber and Ty, but Rose and Greg are definitely my second favorite. I think I fell in love with Bananas more than any other character in the whole series. Such a loyal, spunky, intelligent and loving pup! I wish I could actually rub his belly and tell him what a good boy he is. The epilogue was the perfect sweet ending to close it out.

*spoiler below*
I was really hoping Rose would be pregnant so that all 3 girls could raise their 3 girls together, basically as triplets too. I was sad that didn’t happen and that we never found out the sex or names of Amber or Emerald’s babies. I was also hoping that now that Red Hot isn’t in the city, everyone would build their own separate houses on the farm since they have over 200 acres, rebuild the clinic, and build an art school. Kinda bummed that they still split up.

Banana

Honestly I was fascinated by the storyline of these three books. I can totally picture this hippie farm out in the middle of nowhere Maine, complete with living off the land, making their own jams, jellies, soaps, etc., and selling their products at the local farmers market. Being raised by three moms who obviously loved the men from Red Hot but who also have such open minds and taught their daughters well. If I'm being completely honest, I didn't read these books for the sexy times and while there are a couple of scenes, it's the story that really captured me. The journey for these girls from the first book to this one was absolutely incredible and I enjoyed every moment. I really resonated with Rose, she reminded me of myself, with her love and care for the animals, how she felt like she would be letting them down if she chose to change the course of her life. Other than her mom's and sisters those animals were her life, her furry family so to speak and I adored her dedication. Such a great story!

This is the third (final) book of the series. I have read all of them, which is best to get the full background, but it is not necessary as the story stands on its own and any past details the reader needs are provided. Though I enjoyed all of the stories in the series, Rose was my favorite.

Greg and Rose are two independent people who don't seem to have much in common. As things develop, they become a good match. Their affection for each other is sweet and the sexual tension strong, but at times the hot & cold nature of their relationship becomes a bit frustrating.

The epilogue does a great job of wrapping up not only the story, but the series.

Overall, this book is a good read that involves romance, family dynamics, and a bit of mystery..It is well-paced to make the reader not want to put it down. I would recommend this book, and the entire series.

Book 3 in Elle Casey’s Red Hot Love series follows Rose, animal lover and wannabe veterinarian who runs a non profit shelter for sick, abandoned and wild animals. Rose is too stubborn to accept any money from her ‘fathers’ band, even though she desperately needs it and could put it to good use, and even though her sisters are contemplating accepting their share. Things in her life start getting even more complicated when the band’s sexy lawyer, Greg Lister starts spending more and more time with Rose. At the same time the clinic is targeted by vandals and Rose is struggling to prevent her mothers and sisters from finding out about everything that’s happening. Lots of drama in this final book that ends this series perfectly. I was provided with an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

The third in a trilogy, you really cannot read this without reading her sisters' stories first... there is stacks of back story that you kind of need to know before you begin!

When we first met Greg he was pretty much a stuffed shirt and you had to wonder how he was going to end up with one of the girls raised on a hippie-ish commune... and you knew he would because why else would the band have a young hot attorney?

Rose is the quietest of the sisters, caring more for the animals at her clinic than, you know, people! Luckily Rose finds herself in a bit of a legal pickle (not her own fault of course) and who else can she turn to but Greg

This is a fitting end to a light entertaining tail of three sisters and the men in their lives

This is Rose, book 3 of the Red Hot Love Series, written by Elle Casey. What a great book to end the awesome series! Each book is about a different sister and they are all tied together in this one. Rose has been working in the animal clinic for a long time and she is extremely comfortable in that role. When Greg Lister, the lawyer for the band Red Hot, comes to town to discuss the settlements for her and her sisters a little bit more than meets the eye is going on. With a great backstory running that has a touch of mystery involved, I think this one is the best of the series. Rose is only trying to take care of the animals, while outside forces are fighting against her. Don’t miss this series by Elle Casey!!

DNF at 30 percent.

This is a classic case of, "it's not you; it's me." Premise has a lot of potential. I love Banana, the three-legged dog. Diction, construction, and punctuation are excellent. I even like the characters. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy reading about them.

In some books, the main characters' awkwardness is endearing, and it helps build the sexual tension between them. In this book, Greg and Rose's awkward encounters just made me cringe. I felt embarrassed on their behalf. The hardest thing was that I sensed zero chemistry between the leads. Having forced my way through the first third and finding no connection to the characters or their story, I have put it aside in favor of other things.

It certainly has been an enticing and crazy ride withe the Lancaster sisters. Wooziers!! These three ladies and their men have put my heart through the ringer!! It has been an emotional and red hot journey.

The final book, Rose, is all about Rose's romance with Greg but it's also a story about her finding herself and dealing with her own life's quandaries. (She's dedicated her life to taking care of the animal in her area but isn't actually a veterinarian.)

Anyway, this romance is a slow burn read. The tension and chemistry builds between the two main characters. The storyline moves at a solid pace and I was drawn into the plot's drama. I thought it was an excellent read.

I highly recommend the books in the Red Hot Love series by Elle Casey. They're entertaining and engaging!!

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author (netgalley) I enjoyed this book and sad to see this series end, this is the third book in this series and you really need or (highly recommend) should read the previous book. Rose is running an animal clinic on her farm and she needs money and help and does not want to take the money from her father's, yup you need to read previous to know what we are talking about, anyway back to this Greg the bands lawyer starts spending more and more time there and the sparks are flying. But along with those sparks we have drama and vandalism and etc etc..So while I can give you more info I wont so that you grab a copy and read..Enjoy!

Rose

I don't think I was prepared for Rose. Going back to the commune and Roses sweet, caring nature. While the story is full of twists and turns. It's Rose's animal clinic and her dedication to the animals that shines through. It takes a while for Greg to impress but when he does, he absolutely shows his personality to be that of a kind, caring animal lover. It really is a journey reading about these incredible sisters. Who find love and a life that may not be what they thought they wanted but is everything they deserve. Elle Casey is a great author who writes with wit, suspense and masterful characters.

Greg is just one of those overly polite people, "he reaches over and holds my fingers. “You’re going to think I’m rude if I say what’s in my head right now.” Greg sometimes has to put his responsibilities before his woman, "I slap him playfully on the butt. He leans down and kisses my neck. “I had some things I had to take care of, and I didn’t trust myself to get it all done in time. Talking to you would have tempted me to come sooner.” I liked this book, and I liked Greg once he got his head removed from his butt.

Sweet Rose with her kind heart and love of animals finds love of her own. Greg Lister, the band's lawyer and resident stick in the mud, has a soft spot for Rose. The two find companionship and get Rose through a rough patch. There's a bit of mischievous behavior at the farm and Greg tries to help. I loved the scenes with animals, especially Banana. A heartwarming story of three sisters comes to a close. I read the entire series and wrote each review voluntarily, copy given through Netgalley.

Rose, Red Hot Love series by Elle Casey

This was my first venture into the Red Hot Love trilogy, so I can accurately state that the books can be read out of order without losing anything from the storyline. The book’s description is accurate in outlining the content, but leaves out how realistically written the characters are. The peeks you get into the lead’s lives, along with the background band practices, is wonderfully addictive. This book has an intriguing story, with danger and suspense throughout – A romance novel with more going on than a few kisses.

This is the third book in a series. It is about Rose. She lives on a hippie commune with her mothers and her two sisters. I read book one and loved it. I also love this one! It makes me want to go back and read book two. Rose falls in love with lawyer Greg. They must work through a lot of issues to see if they are able to make a life together. The problem is that Greg lives in Manhattan and Rose lives in Maine. Long distance will not work, but will these two make the decision that need to be made to be together? I definitely recommend this book.

This is the third book in this series by this author. You must read the other books in the series before reading this one. This is an amazing story with the perfect ending to the series. Amazing characters, you will fall in love with as you read. This is one of those books you just can't put down till you get to the end. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
