For years, hard work and perseverance have been the tenets by which Santiago Vila lived his life. As such, he’s achieved everything he’s gone after. Except Abena Dubango. She’s the total package of brains, beauty, and a sense of humor. Even though she wears another man’s ring, he’s never forgotten the moments they spent together. And he’ll make sure she doesn’t, either.
Abena has plans. Get married, have children, and live happily ever after. She even has a fiancé to achieve her goals. But two things stand in her way: Santiago Vila, and her undeniable attraction to him.

That is a lot of expectations from one parent when it comes to Abena. As an adult it's hard to find your way when too much is riding on your shoulders. As for Santiago, his father is a total butthead and a sad individual. Santiago deserved his happiness from his spiteful father. I enjoyed the outcome of the story. Great work Ms. 💎
Delaney delivered again. Loved this Latin Men Series. A very good ending. Abena and Santiago had a very special kind of love. Very sweet and not much drama. A must read.
Two little issues: 1. This author has to learn how to use the past participle form of the verb. Using the simple past tense in every, single situation is wrong and jarring.
2. There is one incident where the Ghanaian protagonist’s face is being held tenderly as if “her skin were made out of the finest porcelain.” Come on! Throughout the book, the reader is told how beautifully dark Abena is. Granted, porcelain does not only reference colour but texture, yet we know that both are conjured mentally upon usage. Let’s not rely on the old and hackneyed for our characters please. Whiteness and its attendant adjectives have no space in this book.
It's bittersweet that the Latin Series has come to an end, but Delaney did what only she could do. Fusing together two cultures of strength and love. What we have in Santiago and Abena was magical. It was not perfect but instead perfectly imperfect. Abena having to come into her own womanhood while remaining true to her upbringing. Santiago having to not allow his past keep him from his present. It was a good mix of emotional pull and internal strength to succeed. It was beautiful and I rooted for them each step of the way. As I paraphrase the line, "love chooses you, you don't get to choose love". It was the freeing moment between Abena and her aunt that reconciled her heart to Santiago.
"Undeniable" is the story of the love between Abena Dubango (from Ghana) and Santiago Vila (from Argentina). They work in the highly competitive world of restaurants, in Miami, and have a story in their past. But Abena is engaged to a seemingly better suitor. However, the attraction between them is just too strong... This is a very entertaining novel, hot and steamy, but also tender, with a very strong and likable female character and a really attractive male counterpart. I love it when romance tells stories about job, family and personal growth too, and this story does. I can recommend it to any romance fan.
I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads
I read this book for research... yeah that is what we will call it. And also because I love Delaney Diamond's work and I'm still trying to make my way through her backlist. She is a delight to have on my kindle and all of her books are sensual, set it the most decadent of locales with characters I pine for more of. A good read.
I have wanted to read Abena and Santiago’s story since I was introduced to them in More Than a Mistress (Latin Men Book 6). I was so happy when this book came out that I rushed to read it and it didn’t disappoint. Filled with the couple’s personal history, friendship, passion, and a true romance. My main issue with the book was Abena’s stubbornness when it came to Santiago. Of course it had a basis, and to an extent I totally understood why she resisted him for so long, but there were a few times when I wanted to yell at her so she’d finally wake up and accept the deliciousness that was Santiago. Other than that the book was amazing.
It’s so nice to read Abena story … under that beautiful , intelligent an self assured demeanor, Abena hiding an innocence and vulnerability that you would never guess. For example when she had to explain her little “indiscretion “ to Marc, ( I wish we had a little insight into his life) when they were on a so called break, I was like: “girl you don’t have to explain yourself, let alone such vivid details “. I love Abena, she is a gem and glad Santiago realized that. Constantino and that woman deserved each other… and I am hoping they are a match made you know where. Great series!! Who’s story is next!?
How in the world Abena could resist Santiago for as long as she did I do not know. How she could see him EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. and get through her workday I do not know. I would have been in the bathroom banging my head against the wall.
This book was heaven. He was just so so so delicious, like a fudge brownie with ice cream on top. I wondered - HOW she could let Santiago perform oral on her and THEN get engaged? But I already know - to please her strict mother who lived in Ghana where Abena was raised. Her fiance was successful, stable, he understood her culture, etc. But he didn't make her FEEL. Unbelievable. That girl had some strength to try to do what was right in her mind. I'm proud of her efforts! (HA!).
Now, Santiago was not a saint. After that deed he performed with her on his desk, he hooked up with someone else. I mean, if it really MEANT something to him (which he claimed it did) then WHY didn't he call her when she returned to Florida? I wondered about that throughout the book but it was never answered. He just dropped in and thought they could pick up where they left off. Uh, no boy - NO. He left her too long to stew about where he was and WHO he was doing. You can't do that to any woman but a BLACK woman? NAH.
Their first time was one of the best "hot spots" I've ever read and I've read plenty.
Wait - did I say Santiago was delicious? Okay. Ms. Diamond described him so very well, I was drooling - picturing in my mind that body of his and the way he moved, talked, his mannerisms, everything. Lawd.
The latest (last?) novel of the "Latin Men" series did not disappoint! Abena and Santiago's story picked up where it left off in the previous novel--their argument in Estaban's office. They had excellent chemistry and both had to overcome a few demons for them to be together.
Loved that they were friends before they became lovers and all the characters were very interesting. Santiago's Dad was awful I also liked that we got to read about Sonia and Estaban in the story. Very entertaining and I liked Abena introduced him to her culture. A very enjoyable read.
This was a pretty good story. I loved the characters and they were believable. I liked that they gave the feel of "every day" people. Not millionaires or billionaires. Wonderful
Abena and Santiago...She's engaged to Marc but she love him? I would say she was never in love with him even before they rekindled their relationship. She knew her mother would approve of him because he was a doctor and came from a good family so she was willing to settle. But after the brief fling she had with Santiago she couldn't get him out of her mind. I was glad when Marc finally showed his true colors because she wouldn't have been happy with him. He wasn't in love with her either but he thought he would be able to control her after they were married. Then Santiago was so busy trying to prove himself because of his selfish father that he almost lost Abena himself. His father was really a low down dirty dog and will one day get what he deserves. Another great book that won't disappoint you.
This is a love story about second chances, removing the armor, dealing with family disappointments and family expectations. Abena and Santiago are from different cultures and backgrounds but has so much in common in addition to working in the same industry and for the same company. Santiago is charming, handsome, hard working, and smart. Abena speaks 5 languages, smart as hell, beautiful, sexy, hard working with a killer wardrobe and shoe collection. The two of them together is loving, power couple.
Santiago's father is vile man. How do you marry the woman your son was once in love with. You do it out of vengeance and to break him. How do you marry a man who wants to deeply hurt his son. He is going to deeply hurt you one day.
Abena's mother expectation of her marrying a Ghanaian man who is of the right chosen career is a part of African culture. Marc was a loose cannon. He was eventually going to put his hands on Abena in a violent way . He showed his hand when he told Santiago he can talk to her any way he wants because she was going to be his wife then grabbed her painfully.
In the end, they received her mother's blessing and found their HEA. I really enjoyed this book and bought eBook to enjoy over and over again.
Dnf I hated the fmc. She was a cheat, selfish person with no morals. I didnt finish the book so I dont know what happens at the end but I dont care. I felt so bad for her fiance. She didnt even have the decency to own up to her mistakes and gaslighted the shit out of him. The mmc is no better. I dont even know why he was angry. Yea they hooked up but there were no commitments and he didnt contact her after that. Ow and he admitted to having a casual fling after their thing and he is angry because she moved on. Shitty people. They deserve eachother. The 2 stars are for their chemistry but sadly that is the only thing they have. As far as I read at least. There was a mention of oh their so great conversations but I haven't seen one happening. But again I haven't finished it.

This "Latin Men" series is fiya! Combine the story lines and an author with a flair for scene description that allows my mind to envision stage of the story in vivid color. I am able to read as if I'm watching. Example, the scene drinking wine after the lobster problem was averted compared to Marc eating pizza and getting not getting Abena's food and wine told me that Marc was a cad and Santiago was a gentleman.
On to the next series 🤔 "Quicksand" or "The Cordoba Agency"
This is the last one in the Latin Men series and it was well worth the wait. Hot and steamy love scenes. The chemistry between Santiago and Abena was off the charts from beginning to end. Happy reading....
Enjoyed . Abena was such a sweet and loving young lady and she had the support of her family. Santiago was definitely the right man for her. Constantine has to pay for his sins. Excellent Job Ms Diamond . Thank you.
Santiago and Abena are a wonderful couple. I enjoyed the slow way their love grew. I the way the two families came together. His father was an ass... I felt sorry for Rominia. I cannot wait for another series like this one. You keep writing and I will keep reading.
A perfect ending to the Latin Men series. Abena & Santiago brought the heat. An engaging story, full of fireworks. Thank you Delaney for celebrating both cultures. A well written book, that had me rooting for these two. Highly recommended!
Another UNDENIABLY satisfying read...Abena and Santiago have a LOVE/HATE relationship going on and their attraction SIZZLES throughout these pages...a SPICY relatable read...so looking forward to the next book in the Latin Men series.
Book me a flight to Argentina and let me rest my heels please. I knew we had to have a follow up of Santiago and Abena and Ms Diamond did not dissapoint. A quick weekend read, but loved the connection of dots in this installment. What is next in the series I wonder?
A really lovely romantic cross cultural book. Mix Latin flavour with Ghanaian sass and you get a hot sizzling book. Loved every aspect of Abena and Santiago’s cultural diversity. It was a fun read. I love this author so much 😊
This is just amazing. The whirlwind of love they shared was a new level of intensity. To know a love filled with passion, understanding and sometimes not so understanding makes one's heart sworn.
Thank you for showcasing our traditions and duality that a lot of a African women face between tradition and modernity. This was sexy page turning HEA. Cheers to you Ms. Diamond.
