The final negotiations between the Silstrand Alliance and the Scipian Empire are complete, and it's time for Tanis and Sera to part ways.
Sera must return to Khardine, where new challenges await, and preprations for the march on Airtha begin. Meanwhile Tanis turns toward the Praesepe Cluster. There, a handfull of interstellar nations hold out against the encroaching Nietzschean Empire. Sera's Hand agents are certain that the Nietzscheans are backed by Orion, and Nadine is sent in ahead to connect with agents in Septhia before the I2 arrives.
Tanis and Bob have an additional goal. They want to learn more about the technology that Peter Rhoads used to control his fleet. Technology that had its origins in the former Genevian Alliance, and may still exist in a group of mercenaries known as the Marauders. **

Author M.D. Cooper brings us the next book int the Orion War series. Tanis and Sara have parted ways. Tanis is continuing the mission that Sara has set for her and the I2 which is to bring as much of the Transcendence over to Sara's side. Sara also has a new AI implanted in her to help her. As this is going an old friend from Joe and Tanis' past comes back and it is conformed that this ascended AI wants humanity to survive this war and continue to evolve. As this is going on Tanis meets with General Mill and they begin to form their alliance that will benefit Rika and her mechs. But as everything happens a battle group comes in and destroys the station that they where on forcing Tanis and a handful of General Mill's forces to crash on the planet below. This is a great book and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series and by the way Tanis makes a leap in this book that you know it's coming but you didn't expect it to be like this. I highly recommend this book to all science fiction fans.

Great series!
This was one of the first Sci-fi series I picked up from kindle unlimited and is by far my favorite. I've gone through a lot of series trying to find trying to find others as good but have yet to find any I enjoy as much. The tech that Cooper dreams up is possibly my favorite thing about the series. I'm always disappointed when the book ends and wish that they were longer. If there was one thing that annoys me about the series, it's the authors seeming infatuation lesbianism. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people (or characters) doing whatever makes them happy, but as Cooper writes it 80% of the women of the Aeon 14 universe are into other women. Regardless, Cooper writes an awesome story, and I'll continue to read whatever he puts out.

Sadness and war, relief and security...
These things follow Tanis Richard's wherever she goes. MD Cooper is destined to be listed alongside Asimov, Heinlein and Norton in the annals of science fiction writers. His Aeon 14 universe is alive with bigger than life characters doing larger than life feats.
Attack on Thebes brings many of these characters to the same place at a crucial point in their journey. Great action.
I would be sad to have to wait for the next volume but I have books from a few of the plotlines to catch up on to keep me occupied!

Cary-Saanvi-Faleena is/are chasing controlling shard like the one they found in Nance. Ernest and Abby are working on containing the meddlesome, murderous beings.
Tanis is searching for the Caretaker, and Captain Rika is trying to report in to General Mill.
Then Tanis and her guards crash on Pyra in Thebes with a huge force of Nietzscheans determined to find her or destroy the planet trying. What could possibly go wrong?!

Great Boxset
A great intro to the Aeon 14 world as this boxset helps cover most of the main story arc in the Aeon 14 universe.
If you like any of the stories in this boxset which im sure you will then you will find something for everyone in 1 of the numerous series that Cooper does. Can't reccommended these enough

Michael Cooper has done it again. His stories grow and gets better with each book, the universe just keeps expanding. Just when you think it couldn't get any better, he brings in more divergent arms of his universe to draw the reader into a magnificent story. Looking forward to reading more from this great author.

As the story unfolds, I am finding the gathering of all these characters that I have been enjoying such an uplifting experience, that I find myself upset when I blast through the book so fast and have to wait to find out what is next.

Keeps getting better
The threads of this universe are finally being pulled together and the stories are weaving together nicely. Now we finally have Tanis and Rika in the same story and it’s action filled. I can’t wait to see where this universe goes next.

Great book. Started slower, and bounced around viewpoints a bit, but built up to a fantastic ending. I just came away thinking 'wow'. While it had been somewhat foreshadowed, it was still very well done, and made it possibly the best book in the series after Outsystem.

Intense!
Things kick into high gear toward the end of the book. Initially it was a challenge to keep track of the star systems but then I just went with the flow and greatly enjoyed the last half of the book.

Coming together.
Explosive story told from differing views as Tanis, Rika and Katrina converge on the same part of space. Surprises are in abundance, as are the fights caused by the many factions trying to control others. Love sci-fi with extraordinary women.

I really enjoyed this book (as I do with all M.D. Cooper's books!). It was very well written, had a lot of action and held my interest throughout. I look forward to the next book in the series.

What a ride
Well this book had several WHOA moments in it. It was really nice to see Rika and the double K's again. Tanis once again proves she is a Huge trouble magnet lol

Nanotech?
Did Picotech change to Nanotech in this book? Or did I miss something? But this book is as good as the first 40 I read, all five stars!

His Stories started well...
Over the course of this series Cooper has seemed to drop all the men out of the stories so that now there are only a few left other than the cannon fodder. It is just weird to see worlds and military that seem to all be led or commanded only by women. The really strange part is they do not seem to think or act like women. I am not sure what Cooper's gig is, but I'm not sure I can handle any more of his attempts at portraying characters that think and act like men as though they are women.

YA? Soap Opera?
I quit after about four pages. The book felt like Space Soap Opera. I don't know how the series got there but I'm not interested in the beings of light having child vs mother arguments over who has transcended further. It's too weird.
It actually might work if you like that kind of book but for me it started out too YA and I didn't like it. I may have to part ways with Cooper but we had a good run.

I enjoyed the book overall, though I was accidentally spoiled on the ending before I even started it.
The various different organizations and alliances and whatnot started to bleed together because there are so many now involved in the plot, so I’m not 100% sure who is on what side other than Tanis and the crew. That’s really my only gripe with the book.

Worth it...........oh yes
Well after having to skip around to other storylines to sink up I finally got to read this book and it was well worth the wait.
Great characters with realistic situations and lots of action and adventure.
I look forward to more from this series 😁

Really fun book
This once again was an amazing book with really detailed and fun characters getting into solar system spanning action and adventure. It will be interesting to see where they all go next. I recommend this book and series.

I am really enjoying this series of books, but for me at least it is difficult to keep up with the many characters and AI's even to the point of who is human and who is AI. Does not stop me from enjoying the stories and I will read them all.
