She’s following her heart. He’s looking for redemption. Can they beat a bad rap and slide home safe?

Chloe Barlow has always wanted to give back. But when she volunteers at the local church one night, her good deed is repaid with a violent attack. The biggest surprise comes when Armitage’s resident bad boy saves Chloe and leaves a sweet note in her locker the following day. Could Chloe's classmates have been wrong about him the whole time?

Vincent Mancini hasn’t cared about his reputation in years. At least, not until Chloe looked in his direction. With his older brother in jail and a rocky home life, it was always easier to accept his troublemaker label. But it turns out Vincent’s brother might be innocent and with Chloe agreeing to a date, things are looking up for the troublemaker…

Chloe is determined to prove her family wrong about Vincent by clearing his brother’s name. But as their investigation takes a dangerous turn, Chloe could end up with something much more serious than a broken heart…

First, I was super excited to have a book about Chloe.
Second, I was really excited to see how this series would end.
Third, tears of joy falling from my eyes.

So, Foul Play unfortunately focused more on the ongoing mystery than Chloe which kind of made me a little sad. But don't worry guys! She still meets a guy, a bad boy, who saves her life. I was rooting for Chloe and Vincent (bad guy) from the start because their romance was so sweet.

Chloe is the youngest sister in this family and she has the biggest heart. She always believes in the best of people and the romance between her and Vincent was perfectly written. I mean, opposites attract people!

Then there's Vincent, who comes from a crime committed family. Name any crime - his family is probably dabbling in it. However, one day Chloe walks into his life and sees a glimpse of the good in him. Chloe finds that Vincent puts up a bunch of walls and she somehow finds a way through them all.

In my opinion, Vincent and Chloe are the most perfect match ever. I think they were my favorite romance out of the three sisters. I also really liked how Foul Play just wrapped up everything in this book. Highly recommendable to everyone!

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

I couldn't wait to start reading the third and last book in this series! At the end of book 2 we got a hint of what Chloe was up to and I was to excited to finally get her story. Foul Play is a perfect ending to this series. It's filled with an amazing romance, two great characters, a bit of mystery and suspense and three epilogues!

Foul Play is Chloe's story and it wraps up the mystery. This book was a bit more focused on the mystery and suspense than the previous books. Chloe is convinced that Vincent's brother is wrongly convicted of murder and she wants to find out what happened. It all comes together in this book and there are some ties back to the previous books and some hints we got there that tie into the mystery. I thought the mystery was well done, I was surprised by part of it and not so much by another part of it. I liked how it all got wrapped up with a satisfying conclusion.

Chloe is the youngest sister of the three, she is really sweet and has a huge heart. She believes the best of people, wants to help people and fights for justice. She brings light and laughter wherever she goes and it just seems perfect she would fall for the school's troublemaker Vincent Mancini. Chloe and Vincent are so different, but they are so perfect for each other.

This book starts right in the middle of things. After an evening of volunteering Chloe gets attacked and Vincent shows up to help her. She gets a glimpse of the real Vincent and what follows is an awesome romance. They slowly get to know each other and fall hard for each other. They are just so adorable together and they made such a great couple.

Vincent comes from a family who is involved with all sorts of crime. My heart broke for him and his bad home situation and that he had to deal with that. Everyone thinks the worst of him, so he just plays along with that. It was awesome to see when Chloe got a glimpse of the real Vincent and fall for that person and we slowly see that all the glares and angry behavior is mostly a front. He does have a bit of a temper, but I felt like that fit his character.

I loved these two together. Where Vincent seems dark, Chloe is all light and they work so well together. I especially liked how Chloe slowly changed Vincent's outlook on life, got him to see that not everyone is bad and bring light to his dark life. And the ending was perfect. I also appreciated how the book was low on drama and there is this scene that felt so realistic where Vincent tries to do what he thinks is the right thing. The relationship struggles that they had felt realistic and I liked how for the most part their relationship isn't easy, but they do stand together and there's no miscommunication going on.

It was awesome how this book wrapped things up and then we skip a year forward and get an epilogue from all three sisters. I loved it! It was so awesome to see how they are doing a year later, what they're doing and how their romance is going now. I think it was brilliant how the author gave each of them their own epilogue.

To summarize: This book was an awesome ending to this series. Foul Play tells Chloe's story and it brings the conclusion to the mystery. The mystery got wrapped up nicely, with some surprises along the way and I liked how there are some hints in earlier books already. Everything falls on it's place here. This book might be my favorite romance so far! I loved Chloe and Vincent together, she's all brightness and positivity, while he has a more negative opinion of the world and has a bad home situation. I liked how great these two are together and I loved their romance. There was little drama, no miscommunication and the struggles they faces felt realistic. The book wraps things up nicely and there is an epilogue from all three of the sisters, which was great! I you're looking for a great Young Adult Romance series with great romances, a bit of mystery/ suspense and little drama, then I can't recommend this series enough!

I generously received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review…

The extraordinarily talented Jordan Ford (Melissa Pearl) never ceases to amaze me and I find myself falling more and more in love with her writing after each new release. Foul Play is Chloe's story and I think that right from the beginning her's has been my most anticipated read of the trilogy. Let me just say that she certainly did not disappoint this ultimate fangirl (seriously I've been stalking this girl since I read Betwixt, now The Space Between Heartbeats by Melissa Pearl back in 2012)!

After that epic ending in Strike Out I couldn't wait to dive into Chloe's story, but of course life got in the way and I didn't have a chance to read it until now... This story was filled with suspense and mystery ← both of which that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end! Chloe & Vincent's have that whole forbidden love/Romeo & Juliet vibe to it, which I absolutely LOVE. I seriously couldn't get enough of these two.

Vincent is so misunderstood and is feared by most of his peers because of his last name. Luckily the sweet and kindhearted Chloe knows how to look beyond the rumors and accept him for who is really is! This story shows you that you should never judge a book by it's cover...or in this case by your last name. Mancini may be a feared name in Armitage, but no need to worry when it's attached to Vincent Mancini because this young man has a kind heart.

Gosh...there is so much I want to say about this book, but I don't know how to do that without giving away the entire plot...so I will just leave this with you - GO AND READ THIS STORY NOW!!! Trust me you will NOT regret giving it a chance!

This book was a fabulous ending to a great and thrilling series and proof again why Jordan Ford is an auto-buy-author for me.
Chloe and Vincent's story is somehow slow burn and intense and so wonderfully heartwarming ♡
Family and friendship, faith, redemption and forgiveness all woven together into a wonderful adventure of suspense and romance.

I love how Chloe believes in Vincent right from the start, he deserves someone in his corner so badly and sweet and stubborn Chloe was just the right person.

She sneaks a look at me and I‘m taken by how a girl can be so adorable, intelligent, kind and stubborn. There are so many angles to her, so many points of beauty and brilliance, I want to discover every single one of them.

And I love how Jordan Ford can always make me swoon and awaken butterflies in my belly - awww, their „greenhouse-date“

There were a lot of surprises and one of the biggest for me was, how much Chief Barlow did grow on me ;) such a complicated character and really hard to like in the beginning , I loved his role in „Foul Play“.

„Are you trying to say I‘m some kind of scary beast or something?“ ;)

Great trilogy, perfect ending!
Looking forward to Jordan Ford's next books.

The icing on the cake are the epilogues for all three Barlow sisters ♡♡♡

This is my favourite Jordan Ford book!
The 3 books in the Barlow Sisters Series are the first Jordan Ford books I ever read. Since those she has written many other incredible stories (like the Ryder Bay books, which are also superbly done and you need to go read those now!) and I loved every word I read! That being said, Chloe and Vincent’s story is the one that I always come back to reread.
The dynamic between Chloe and Vincent throughout their entire (slightly turbulent) romantic journey is very well depicted. It takes them a lot to get to the point that they do. So many social and emotional hurtles to jump to get to each other.
There are many qualities and feelings/emotions in both main characters that are so easy for the reader to relate to, making the story all the more enjoyable! Between the characters vulnerability, perseverance and positivity in the face of adversity, there is no way you can’t enjoy reading Chloe and Vincent’s story.
I truly love this book as well as the others in this series. I would highly recommend them or any other books (especially the Ryder Bay books!) by this incredible author! 10/10, 5 star rating! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely loved this book! Foul Play was nothing like the other books in the series to me. Chloe and Vincent's story had suspense, mystery, love, and betrayal all wrapped up in one.

In this final book of the trilogy, Chloe reaches out to someone, after an unfortunate incident, who no one thinks she ever should be around...Vincent Mancini. He's the brother to a murderer, the nephew to a known criminal, and cousin to a neighborhood bully. Nobody likes the Mancini family, why should Vincent be any different? But Chloe sees something different. But there is something else going on that no one else realizes in Vincent's life. Chloe is hell bent on uncovering the truth behind what put Vincent in his horrible predicament and his brother Nick behind bars, while all at the same time fall in love with a Mancini.

The "whodunnit" floored me and I could not believe what ended up happened towards that end. It made my jaw drop to the ground while at the same time smile. You will love this book! Jordan Ford has once again written a great book!

I didn’t like Chloe much in the first two books. I don’t know why. She just seemed like someone who thought of herself as really good when in reality, that wasn’t the case. BUT I LOVED HER. She was such an amazing person. Vincent and Chloe were a cute couple. I loved the twists and turns in the story. I will say that I kind of expected the ending, not all of it, but for sure, a little bit was predictable. I still liked the story so much and this is a great series to read.

Foul Play continues the story of the Barlow sisters; the focus on the youngest sister Chloe this time. Chloe is a light in the darkness. The rare soul that believes love overcomes all. She is good through and through, sometimes too innocent and naive, but she has a strength born out of conviction to make the world better for all. She's pure beauty. Vincent Mancini believes that hate rules the world or at least his part of it. His life is full of pain, loneliness; it's ugly and everyday is a fight for survival. From the moment he laid eyes on Chloe, he was entranced, but knew she deserved so much better than him. He would not touch her with his darkness. However, one night he stepped up to be her hero and let her see a side of him that no one else knew existed. A series of secret notes, secret meetings led to deeper feelings, but also led to danger. Chloe's need to find the truth, to right wrongs, to save Vincent may lead to the ultimate sacrifice. Her life.

From the moment I first heard the name Vincent Mancini I knew he was destined for Chloe. She's an earth angel; he's a dark protector. They are meant for one another. His life was heartbreaking. To grow up never expecting family to show any kindness and to be the source of your greatest pain; to be alone at the best of times, abused at the worst, to be ashamed of your name, would destroy a lesser man. Most would be beaten down and become part of the ugliness themselves. Not Vincent. He couldn't see his own worth, but he never gave himself over to the darkness. Such strength. I love that Chloe was able to show him love and teach him to accept it from others. She validated her belief in love. She made him a better man, but more importantly she showed him a better way of life. Love and hope. She gave him a life with true family and friends. He gave her himself. This is the story Romeo and Juliet should have been. Young love. Life.

This is ultimately a love story, but it's also a mystery with plenty of suspense and danger. It's a perfect blend. I couldn't put it down past a certain point. I was on edge, waiting to see how it would play out, see the ramifications for everyone. I loved the crossover stories continuing Mads and Max's own love stories and the sister bond. Holden and Cairo are wonderful additions to the Barlow clan. And once again The Hale's are my favorite parents ever! Finally, a word about the Epilogues! They are each a gift. I adored all three. I ended up with warm fuzzies and a huge smile on my face. They made me greedy. Can I make a request? I would love a follow-up book catching up with the Sisters right after Chloe's college graduation. Even a Holiday novella. Just a peak; marriage, babies, enduring love. Please? I fell in love with these girls and their guys. I only want a little more!

Great finish to the series. I didn't think I'd enjoy this one more than the last, but have to admit that it actually just nudged its way into my favorite of the series.

In the first two books, Chloe came across as sweet, but also a bit fluffy - e.g. the kind of girl just looking for her prince charming. I was pleasantly surprised to see how off base that first impression was and that she definitely had more substance to her. All of the Barlow sisters seem to get themselves into trouble, but always for good, if not safe, reasons. In Chloe's case, her first actually led her into seeing a side to Vincent that others don't get to see. And from the first book, I believed that there was more to Vincent too and was happy that he was going to be Chloe's love interest. As the two learn to navigate through their growing feelings, it was again well done of the author in blending what was transpiring between Chloe and Vincent, with Max and Cairo's story in a way that didn't feel repetitive. And I loved the ending...the brief glimpses into the future and how all of the couples were doing.

In reality, I don't know if all three sisters would emerge relatively unscathed from their encounters with dangerous people, but that element of mystery helped cement their characters, and was fun to read too. Chloe is the type of person that wants to help others regardless of the risks to herself, because it is the right thing to do. I admire that. Vincent was that unseen hero, one that would always have her back. I loved seeing them come together and I'm a sucker for happy endings so definitely one of the sweetest series I've read lately.

>Book review - Foul Play

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd book in the Barlow Sisters trilogy ends in an HEA. Chloe is the youngest and most bubbly of the Barlow sisters. Her support of bad boy, Vincent, puts Chloe on his radar. He comes to her rescue and they both feel an instant attraction. The true story of Vincent's violent home life is revealed to the reader, causing the appeal of Vincent to increase 1000%.

>This book's actions mirrors the action in the previous two books. The reader now has all 3 points of view of the story's action. This book, however, goes further and ties up the 3 books with awesome epilogues. Vincent has to work hard to gain the approval of Mr. Barlow, but he succeeds. Chloe is the ultimate positive person. She should really look into investigation as a career too.

>The only thing I thought was weak about the story was the way baseball was handled. Baseball started out being an important part of the story. This story barely uses baseball as a setting for any scenes. Spring break is traditionally the start of the high school and college baseball season, but in this book no games or practices were mentioned.

>This book is appropriate for a young adult (16+) audience. I am giving the story 4 stars. I love how the story wraps up. Chloe and Vincent's story was by far the best. I love baseball, though, and missed those scenes.

FOUL PLAY is book three in the Barlow Sisters series and is a sports related/"bad boy"/suspensful/young adult romance. So, I've read several books (at least 7) by author Jordan Ford and every time, I think, "This is my favorite!" but then she comes out with another book and I change my mind! THIS one's my ABSOLUTE favorite! Chloe and Vincent's story just gave me all the feels. There's an achingly sweet romance, a thrilling mystery, tension filled twists and of course the PERFECT happy ever after for all three of the Barlow Sisters. That old adage, "Don't judge a book by its cover" is a lesson learned for the secondary characters in this story. Vincent fits the bad boy profile but Chloe's sweet heart knows that he's more than meets the eye! Vincent's dire home life just broke my heart but I loved how strong yet vulnerable he was. And Chloe turned out to be my favorite Barlow sister. She was perhaps more of a wallflower compared to her outgoing sisters but she had the biggest heart! Another great book for my READ AGAIN E-SHELF! Told from dual POVs with a sweet ending and multiple epilogues (Thanks for that Ms. Ford!) I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy from the author.

Foul Play is my favorite book out of this series. Chloe is the younger sister of twins Maddie and Max, and the hero is Vincent Mancini, the "bad-boy" that is mentioned in the previous books. I have always had a soft heart for the misunderstood bad boys, the ones no one wants to associate with. Chloe is a very loving and nurturing individual. She likes to see the good in everyone and sees something in Vincent that others do not. I loved their interactions and how much Vincent cared for Chloe and wanted to change his life and what others perceive of him. This is the last in the series and I loved seeing all the Barlow girls find their first love and have suspenseful events that helped shaped who they are now. This trilogy is a fun, suspenseful young adult romantic series that anyone would enjoy.

This entire standalone YA contemporary romance trilogy about the Barlow sisters has been absolutely brilliant, however this last instalment has been my absolute favourite. Chloe is the youngest and sweetest Barlow sister, she is intent on helping as many people in life as she can. One night after helping out at the soup kitchen across town she is attacked and things would have been alot worse if not for her rescuer Vincent Mancini.

He is the kid from the wrong side of the tracks, however Chloe sees past his family name and bad rep and they begin a beautiful clandestine friendship by passing eachother notes in their respective lockers. It's so cute, I could not wipe the smile from my face at their young love and infatuation.

Chloe takes it upon herself to try and prove that Vincent's brother Nick is innocent of the murder he is currently serving time for. However her snooping may lead them all down a dark and dangerous path. I have loved every minute of this series and would highly recommend.

I think this might be my new fave series by this author, even though I adored the BigPlay novels.
This is the 3rd book and ran parallel with the first two, they linked so well and offered closure on some points from the other two books.
This one had not only young love but a lot of suspense, drama and danger happening.
I loved this allegedly bad boy and his softer side. The reasons for his actions and behaviour and the influence that Chloe had on him.
Epilogues...yes more than one. I loved seeing all of them a year later, evolving into adulthood. Thank you Jordan for this wonderful trilogy. I loved it and highly recommend it, but start at book 1.

Chloe is the only one to see the good in Vincent. Vincent falls hard an fast for the youngest Barlow sister, and soon finds himself protecting her from the people in his life. In her quest to free Vincent's brother from prison, Chloe will stumble upon two killers that will threaten her life.
Wow, I thought Chloe and Vincent were perfect for each other. Chloe will bring light and love into his life, while Vincent will protect her from darkness. These are sweet, unique, well written characters. Like the rest of the books in this series, there are angsty teenagers falling in love, as well as some excitement and suspense. Fantastic series, I loved it!

I am voluntarily leaving an honest and nonincentivized review of this ARC.

This is my favourite book so far out of all the Barlow sisters' story. This book is sweet yet dangerous and I am just all into that. With just the right amount of romance, love and fighting against injustice, what could I possibly ask for more than that?

Chloe is such a sweet girl who likes to see the good in others and the world and honestly she is so pure in her own way. Vincent is as the author says in her author's note that he is a dark knight and I cannot argue with that because he is. Also in his own way. A dark knight in shining armour for his princess, Chloe.

I like that the author has also included each of the couples epilogue in this. It makes their story truly complete and special.

A bittersweet end to another wonderful trilogy. Jordan Ford has done it again. The Barlow Sisters are the sisters you have always wanted. Young and just coming into who they want to be. At times afraid, but willing to do what scares them to make sure it is right. Chloe being the youngest is by far not the least timid. She knows what she wants but has not yet been able to find who she wants. Or has she? The sweet young give full of romance just might find another side of the dark, brooding boy from the other side of the tracks. But will she find a way to keep her bad boy or will her hunt for the truth make her lose everything, including herself?

I just don't have words to describe how much I enjoyed this story!
Chloe is a super sweet character, and from the very first book I hoped she would find true love and be happy. And Vincent, despite the tough exterior, is a teenager just trying to survive the adversities of a bad family.
When Chloe and Vincent begin to communicate through notes and then meet, it's apparent that their feelings are very strong, and when they both begin to investigate Vincent's brother's arrest, things get really strained.
The twists of this story really surprised me. And the ending was perfect.
This is a great story, with very interesting characters.
I highly recommend the reading.

I love this books is much!!!! Honestly this book easily ranks in my top 5! This books is so sweet in so many ways but nothing compares to how kind and protective Vincent is towards Chloe. I love reading about how she brings out a different side in him that was there all along but hidden because he was a victim of circumstances. Seeing her slowly peel back layers and watching him respond to her was so entertaining and heart warming. I was devastated when it was over because I wanted to read more! I know I sound dramatic but I was completely enraptured within this book and only speak the truth. I loved this series and finally understand what it means when Shakespeare said parting is such sweet sorrow.

This was the last book in this series. I have only read the 2nd one and this one. But out of the two I absolutely loved this one. It is like a modern day fairy tale of forbidden love. He saves her from almost being attacked and raped. She helps him save his brother. He saves her father from being shot. I absolutely loved this one. It was amazingly written from the beginning to the end. Gripping with some twists and turns on what was going to happen next and some parts where you didnt see that coming. I enjoy reading Jordan's book and this was one of them that I loved.

This book is the last in the Barlow sisters. I would say you need to read them in order to appreciate how different the girls are. Even though each book catches you up they do leave you hanging wondering what the next sister's story will be. Vincent and Chloe are the sweetest couple. Bad boy meets a girl who only sees the good in people. Together they find a friendship and more when their paths cross. You will feel so much for Vincent's character and you will cheer this fabulous couple on to their happily ever after.

This is the last book in the series and I do believe that Jordan has made this book, not only the best, but perfect. Every question that you had was answered. The chemistry between the two characters is off the charts. You can feel it oozing off of the pages. There is a feeling of something that I can't describe. You get a relief once the book is done because Jordan just wraps this book/series up wonderfully! You need to finish this series. If you haven't started this series, you need too! So much wonderful in one book!

It has been one heck of a ride with the Barlow sisters. Maddie, Max, and Chloe won me over on the first page of Strike Out, and had me excited for them on the last page of Foul Play.
Foul Play was my favorite book of the series. Chloe and Vincent are the cutest couple. They have a lot of odds stacked against them and still manage to come out on top.
While each book in the Barlow sisters' trilogy is a stand alone, I recommend reading them in order. Each book adds to the previous one. It may be something small, but I found it enhanced the story.

Miss Ford has done it again. She took us on a wild, dangerous ride but gave us some sweet mixed in to the sucky. Chloe's story was the one I was really looking forward to and it did not disappoint. It was filled with emotion and suspense around every corner, leaving you reeling. There were times I found myself holding my breath in anticipation of what the next page held. It was a page flipping good read. A perfect end to an emotionally charged series.

WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! Oh em gee! I absolutely LOVED this story.

It had everything going on. Amazing story telling Ms Ford.

I can't gush about this book enough.

Ahhhhhhhh. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

Chloe is the sweetest person ever. I just love her character. And Vincent... 😍😍😍
I love how he has a terrible upbringing, shitty life and still manages to be sweet and insecure about Chloe. He is just the cutest.

"I knew I’d never have a shot with her so I didn’t bother attempting to talk to her or even dreaming that one day I might." Oh my aching heart. I loved that sentence.

Everything is right with this book. Everything!

Definitely my favourite. And in the top 5 of best reads of 2017! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This book!

I loved it so much! It made me cry, laugh, love, scream. Yes, many emotions were going through my body while reading. I won't post much abuot the full story because of spoilers.

On this book we get to see Chloe and Vincent's story. Their relationship starts from a very sad situation, but who would thought that it could bring something magical? Many mysteries will be uncover. The lies, the crimes all will now be cleared up.

We finally got to see the very ending of this amazing trilogy, and couldn't ask for a better ending. I think this is my favorite series so far by Jordan Ford, and can't wait to be surprised again when she wrtites a new story.

I absolutely loved this book! Jordan Ford has delivered another winner with Chloe and Vincent’s story and a grand-slam with this fabulous trilogy! Chloe has the biggest heart, and Vincent has the worst reputation. Together they have a fantastic story to share, wrapping up the threads of a mystery we get a taste of in Maddie and Max’s stories. My favorite one!

This was the story I was waiting for and it didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the entire trilogy, but I cheered for Chloe and Vincent.

Best of the series!

I knew I'd enjoy these two charecters, and I was right. :) This story was my favorite out of all the series. I love a good 'diamond-in-the-rough' character and Chloe is so sweet; they were a perfect match to cheer for. Loved all the epiloques at the end too. A recommendable series. Rated pg13 for minor language, mention of sex, and minimum violance.
