In the small, God-fearing town of Redemption Valley, a young boy's body is found dead and mutilated. Is it a ritualistic killing? The local bad boy, Joel Flood, is arrested and put in jail. A black-garbed, "devil-worshipping" metalhead, he must be guilty...or is he? Enter Matt Murdock, J.D. for the defense.
If you’re going to rip a plot from the headlines it’s in seriously bad taste to make your killer based on an actual person. This whole mini series uses bits and pieces from the Paradise Lost series of documentaries about the West Memphis 3. Instead of just taking the premise and changing up the story it lays the blame on a real person, one of the parents from the real case that was unstable in the docs, and very loosely portrays him. It’s gross and in horrible taste.
