This is Callum and Kamdyn's story . Harry Potter twat and old Fart Face are just two of my favorite sayings in this book !!! Kam has a sassy mouth and her attitude gotta love her !!! Callum is feed up and kind of jealous of being alone but knows his mate is out there somewhere due to his dreams of her . Once he finds her and follows her into a cave everything breaks loose ! Kam is so stunned by Cal that without meaning to she hits him with a paralyzing spell so strong that Cal hits the ground like a ton of bricks !! But Cal asked his dragon to help me to break free help her . But not in time . Man I love the way Julia Mills writes a book !! This is so well written that once you start you will not want to put it down !! Between hot tempers and speaking without thinking first to acting without thought these two just can't seem to get it together lol . But hang in there mates it does have the HEA and man is it a hot read !! Love Love Love this one and STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO ALL !!!

A short read that I enjoyed in the Dragon Guards sereis. Read in Fire Kissed box set.
A short read that I enjoyed but due to its shortness is lacking the gripping magic of the Dragon Guards. Don’t get me wrong, we still get lots of information and background, this is still one great story but just over too quick.
Kamdyn is one spitfire whose smart mouth gets her into trouble.
Callum was a typical Dragon Guard and held up his end of the story.
Did love that Kamdyn took him down when they first met.
Nice to have Calysta and Maddox in this story but it is unclear if they saved Mara and defeated Thanatos. I don’t believe so.
I really miss the longer books with the mating ceremonies and we never hear from the original characters anymore.

Cheeky
This standalone addition to the Dragon Guard series features Callum O'Shea, the electric Dragon, who is young and irreverent. Hints of the mate he has yet to meet draw him to a cave, where a protective spell immobolizes him.
Kamdyn McGregor is determined to get her revenge against the false head of the McGregor Coven, but she's been thwarted at every turn. She has escaped the dungeon where he confined her and made it to the cave where she has her emergency cache. Then she hears boot steps and releases her temporary spell, too late realizing her mistake. But before the spell can wear off, danger comes in the form of a demon in a girl's body. And before Callum can burn off the spell his beautiful mate threw at him, she's taken by a cloud of black smoke.
I didn't enjoy this book as much as others in the series. It gets 3 stars.

Witch Kamdyn is the daughter of Evan McGregor and should have inherited power and magic of a hundred centuries of unstoppable witches, but a thief is holding her captive and has her power - if only she can get it back. Dragon Guardsman Callum O’Shea has long and proud family history behind him and is determined to make his mark and step up to be as great as his ancestors were. If only they didn't get in the way of each other's plans!!!
This was a nice story in the Dragon Guard series that featured a strong and powerful woman and a determined man. There were definitely sparks between them - so I'm glad they found a solution before there was a regrettable accident. Well written and very enjoyable.

When I first started this book I couldn't get into it. I don't know why because there was plenty of action, maybe I'm just having an off day. Once Callum and Kam met then it pulled me in like Julia's books usually do.
Thanatos, Satan's right hand man, is back in the picture in this story. He has taken possession of Mara who is Alicia's sister from an earlier book. Thanatos kidnaps Kam in order to take her powers so he can rule earth with her as his concubine.
Callum and a few other dragon warrior friends as well as Calysta come to her rescue.
As I said previously, it was a little slow at the beginning in my opinion but the rest of the book rocked, so I totally recommend it.

Kamdyn wants revenge for her parents death and her powers back. Callum just longs for one thing, to find his mate. A demon from hell is determined to sway her to his side. Will Kamdyn learn the complete truth behind her parents' death? Will Callum make it to her in time?
Honestly loved these two characters. Loved how both are hotheaded and seem to be impulsive. These twos first meeting was hilarious, but love how Callum didn't hold it against her. Was proud that despite how scared she probably was, Kamdyn didn't stop talking. Great read and another great addition to the Dragon Guard Series!

A quick read.
I liked this book but found it to be too short. There was a lot of promise in Kamden's character that was not developed and left me disappointed. I also think that the author is right when she says that each book is standalone but you would get more out of them if you'd read the other books first. Callum's character also had promise but was even less well developed that Kam's.
In fact the whole story seemed to be rushed. What happened in the cavern after the demon left?
Its an OK read for 18+.

I swear these books are getting shorter, and when we return to earlier themes, the author is forgetting what happened. Word of advice authors, if you bring back a character from previous stories, make sure you get the details right. Here we are led to believe that all the dragons know Mara instead of her disappearing when the a grand Draoi is defeated.
Thanatos raises his dirty head again, still in Mara’s body, it’s a quick almost non existent encounter before Kamdyn mates her Dragon Guard warrior. At least we get a mating ceremony again.

INTERESTING SERIES, BUT BECAME REPETITIVE AFTER A FEW BOOKS
After reading a few of these, I decided to write one review for all of them. I found these books to be pretty good, if somewhat formulaic. If a reader is looking for a good story with some drama & where the main characters go through some terrible things, but ultimately end up together, I think they will enjoy this series of books. It is sometimes nice to read a "happily ever after" story.

Dragons, witches, demons...oh my
I just love the dragon men! I have read this series from book 1. They can be read as a stand alone, but you get to know them so much better if you read them in order. Each dragon guardsmen has his own personality and some have unique abilities as well.

Starting to feel very rushed
I am enjoying the series but as it goes on the books are starting to feel very rushed and not as detailed. The storyline is becoming almost formulaic and there used to be a good backstory that built with every book but is very hit or miss now that these books are being written for anthologies and to fit other authors series.

Dragon guard's Raven witch mate
Callum knew at once that Kamdyn was his mate but could he convince this feisty witch bent on revenge that fate could not be denied. I would heartily recommend this book to all who love great romantic shifter tales and feel that any reader would enjoy this tale of romance and the battle against evil.

Ah-maz-ing!!!
Read it in a single sitting...couldn't put it down...and didn't want to! Lots of sass and attitude run through our leading witch as she goes up against her enemies...and finding her dragon mate along the way...you will laugh out loud with this one...and heat up when these mates finally get together. Demons, witches, dragons, family, love and romance....Wonderful!

Good dragon read
I enjoyed the interplay between the characters. Kamdyn is very opinionated and mouthy. I hope she learns a bit of control in the future, but only a bit.
I had hoped to see a little more electricity from our hero, but maybe in the future.

Book 22
I did like the storyline in this book. It was a quick read, seemed kinda rushed. I'm not going to lie I skip over most of the sex scenes. They are starting to read like they are being cut and pasted from book to book.

Let the lightening fly!
