Scarlet Mountain Pack #4

Claiming His Fate

Rate this book
The scent to change lives...

Seth is a hardworking alpha member of the Scarlet Mountain Pack, felling trees and turning them into lumber for the lodge. He's content with his pack, but there's something missing in his life -- a mate. One day, on what should be another average run to the mill with a fresh load of pine, Seth smells something that turns his world upside down.

Harry is living life as a prisoner, an omega slave to his cold-blooded pack leader, Kade, who rules over a pack of captive omegas forced to work, or worse, bare his children. Once they provide him with a pup, he's done with them, and with Harry's heat approaching, he knows he's next.

Seth almost loses it when he smells Harry's scent and instantly knows he is his fated mate, but Kade isn't about to let him go without a fight. Seth tracks Harry to a truck stop and saves him from the horrible future he was certainly facing.

Back at the lodge, love drunk off each other's bodies and scents, the two realize they are meant for one another. Fueled by desire, Harry's heat arrives like a speeding train, sending Seth into a frenzy. The only thing on his mind? Put a baby in Harry's belly and bind him to him forever.

But Kade's pack is still out there, with a pack of captive omega slaves, and Seth can't let that continue. He saved Harry, but the rest are still prisoners. Rallying his pack, Seth sets out for the truck stop, but when he arrives, Kade's pack is gone.

Is the vicious alpha still out there? Tracking them? Hunting for Harry? And will Seth be able to save him a second time?...

Claiming His Fate is the fourth in the Scarlet Mountain Pack series, but can be read as a stand alone. NO cheating, no cliffhangers, and all the sweet, sexy MPREG goodness you've come to love from Aspen Grey.

This is book four in the Scarlet Pack series. We have fated mates meeting and recusing the Omega from their former crazy Alphas. Grammatical errors are present and wrong character names are used. But all in all an OK read.

This is the first book I have read in this series and by this author, so I went into this not having known the previous characters or really what's going on. But I do agree that this was fine as a standalone, it was very easy to pick up on what's going on. I have a feeling that, as with many other shifter series I have read, that you have more enjoyment in a series when you do know the other characters already.

I've said it before and I still stand by it, that sometimes insta-love is totally OK and completely believable depending on the type of story and how it's written. This definitely has an insta-love feel...when they first meet each other, they immediately know they are fated mates just by scent alone, but even this seemed a bit quick for me.

Also, I know that I had an ARC copy, but there were several typos and mistakes, and even a few weirdly phrased sentences that did kinda throw me from the story. I'm hoping this was addressed and fixed before the final release?

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another hit by Aspen Grey. This is book 4 in the series and just as good as the other three. Seth and Harry's story was fabulous. I love how Tate's pack went from him, Bryce and Martin to everyone else who has joined since and there is never a dull moment. The way they come together to support and protect each other is exactly what I am looking for in a shifter book. I am so hoping there is more to come from Tate's pack. If you are a fan of shifters, then this is the series you need to check out. The books are all well written and the characters are developed well within each story and stay with you throughout the series.

While the story is enjoyable the series is starting to get predictable or should I say it's becoming like a plugin formula. All the characters are starting to blur together. I mean I know who's who but we're never given enough information about them to make them stand out on their own make them different than any of the other alphas or omegas. If this story was a stand alone I'd give it 4 stars but part of a series I can only give it 3. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I loved this cover. The two men and the wolf are nice. It made me want to read the book. The characters made me want to stay with the story. Seth and Harry are well designed. Their scents met each other's noses and that is how they realized that they had real mates. This book has interesting characters and an unique story line from ones that I have read recently. The greatest thing was that there was a happily ever after.
I received this as a free arc.

This is the 4th book in the Scarlet Mountain Pack Series. They just keep getting better and better. We see the strength and love the pack have for all. When one of them is in trouble or mate threathen. They come out full force to protect all. This was a wonderful story of Seth and he finds his perfect match. You will fall in love with the characters so easy, that you feel apart of the pack. This is a must read book and series.

Another good book for this series. Harry is an Omega being held captive and treated as a slave, that all changes when he smells his fated mate. Seth is an Alpha from the Scarlett Mountain Pack, and once he finds his mate nothing can stop him from freeing him

I volunteered to read an ARC copy of this book

This is the fourth book in Scarlett Mountain Pack Series and can be read as a stand-alone.

I enjoyed Seth and Harry’s story but I have to admit the stories in this series are quite similar and predictable.

This was a good shifter read with just enough heat and danger to liven things up.

So good.

I have loved this series from the start. The storylines and concept really pulled me in. Then you have the wolves and foxes together which I love. I'm a big fan of multi shifter communities, he k multi paranormal even. There were some edit issues but not enough to pull me out nor to affect the rating.

I enjoyed Seth and Harry's story. This is Book 4, but it totally works as a standalone. The whole series has great characters, and an unique storyline.

This was a unique and gripping romance that sometimes had me on the edge of my seat. I really liked both main characters, Seth and Harry. Their story involved danger, action, love, family, and a very sweet romance with a totally satisfying ending. Exceptional. =)
