In September of 2017, Pastor Michael Gantt and his wife embarked on a month long vacation in a 40-year-old Motor Home from Vermont to Florida and back. They never expected that the old RV, dubbed by their children, "Cousin Eddie," would provide such a hilarious adventure. Braving tornadoes, hurricanes, and the mountains of Virginia -- Eddie defied his age and all predictions of disaster to provided Pastor Gantt and his extended family with a lifetime of laughter in just a few short weeks. As their extended family of 25 children and grandchildren joined them in Florida the adventures continued to mount up, the laughter spread, and as Michael Gantt shared their daily adventures through social media, more and more people began to follow their adventures and mishaps. Each chapter invites the reader to a ride-along with Eddie and simple, spiritual lessons they learned along the way. Michael Gantt is a Pastor with nearly 50 years of of pastoral ministry and an engaging story teller. He has a unique way of winding real truth into true stories. He recently retired as Lead Pastor of the church he served for almost 40 years, but remains active in ministry and missionary work. All proceeds from the sale of "Eddie" will be used to support his work among the Deaf in the East African Country of Kenya. He is a Development Advocate for the Immanuel Christian School for the Deaf and the Director of the Kenya Development Fund, a mission organization committed to providing a hand up to the Deaf children of Western Kenya.
As always, M.K. Gantt writes with conviction and purpose. As an avid RV junkie (over 360,000 miles) Eddie: Adventures with a 41-Year-Old RV is a great read for any person who is in the recreation vehicle circle, or is considering joining this "elite" group of wheeled wanders. Thanks for your theological insight and your storytelling in a humorous and adventurous way. A fun read, with Godly lessons of family, commitment, and belief. Well, very well done!
