I hate the Daddy thing, but it's in the title, so I can't hold it against the story.
However, I can say that a 21 year old woman could be a bit more adult-ish.

Putting that all aside - I knew what I was getting - and I think that the story was wonderful. I really liked this adult Cinderella fairy tale.

This is my first Jane Henry book and I loved it. I loved both characters and the Cinderella aspect of this story. I could not put this story down. Dante is a strong alpha male that brings every wish you have on a male to light. All he needs is a strong woman to love and understand him. And he just might have it in Gabriella. Although Gabriella feels like she isn't strong enough to do much she has all the power when it comes to Dante. I love the power exchange with these two, in and out of bed. Great book and a real must read. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

What an awesome twist on a classic fairytale. Dante is the heir to a mafia family but wants no part of it if he's honest with himself. He finds himself on his motorcycle at night and stumbles across Gabriella working in a small restaurant. She works for her step mother and her two step sisters work there also. When Dante's father tries to tell him he needs to chose a bride and settle down, he balks at the idea. The more he sees and talks to Gabriella, the more he wants. And it really turns him on to hear her call him Daddy. Is he really going to go with this? While he doesn't want Gabriella pulled into his family, he can't seem to leave her alone. Party time and secrets are revealed and decisions must be made. Will Dante want to keep Gabriella and will she want to even stay with him? I loved this book and am really hoping that Jane Henry will do more twisted versions of fairytales. You don't want to miss this book.

I was offered this book to read on Facebook. I loved this book. It had all my favorite things in one package. The Heroine was sweet and funny and so innocent. But she had a backbone of steel and it made me just love her.
Now Dante was all Alpha Male. He was kind of confused at the beginning but that did not last long. He just didn't think he was good enough for her.
This story had a very good plot and I just loved it.
If you love a Sweet young Heroine and a Bold mafia Alpha that goes after what is his?? Then this is the book for you . I recommend this book to all my Safety Girls.

The main reason why I read the book was firstly this is a retelling of Cinderella and secondly because it is a mafia book but it is in no way a mafia book. H is the son of the Mafia boss, he despises being a part of it, hates violence, but because he is next in line he has no option but to continue to be a part of it.

h, on the other hand, works at her father's dinner which after her father's death belongs to her stepmother and she treats her very poorly and is like the typical cruel stepmother from Cinderella.

the first thing that was weird was how they met, she was alone, abandoned on a street H comes and she very happily accept help not giving a single thought about her safety, she was kind of dumb and too naive and also gave so much control to him on the first freaking night, he was practically a stranger. this book just didn't do it for me.

Y = ans

« Jamais. Oh mon Dieu. Tu vas me sauver ? »

Celle dont tu as besoin .

« Hé, tu as un nom ? »

« Excusez-moi ?

WHERE THERE’S A WILL, THERE’S A WAY

OMG, this book was unputdownable, and I read it from beginning to end without stopping for anything. I loved the characters, the angst, the interaction, the secrets, the protection, and especially the dominance of Dante and submission of Gabriella. Once again, Ms. Jane Henry has brought a story to life, a Cinderella type tale with that extra zing of a Daddy Dom/little girl.

The demands of the Villanova family upon Dante have become even more overwhelming. Now, he is being told he will pick a wife, or one will be chosen for him. The plan is to invite all the single woman from wealthy families to a masquerade ball, and he is to choose his bride. Thirty years old, but has yet to met a woman who makes him want to settle down. A trip on his motorcycle away from Vegas was to clear his head, not meet the most innocent of young ladies.

Gabriella is the sweet, accepting girl that has a cruel step-mother and two self-centered step-sisters. Once again, they ditched her in the middle of nowhere to accommodate friends. Now she is walking along a highway, no cell phone service, and then her knight in shining armor arrives on a motorcycle and rescues her. Gabriella is twenty-one, never dated, and has no life outside of her step-mother’s bidding of running the family restaurant from open to close every day.

While this is a modern day retelling of Cinderella and Prince Charming, our Prince is not always so charming in real life. He is the Prince of the Vegas mafia family and has been in deep for years. He is overwhelmed with the simplistic approach that Gabriella takes to what has been her life. When she speaks of her mother and father, it is with love and fondness. Even with all Agatha and her two daughters do to her, she really doesn’t complain. The sweet, Ruby, a wealthy widow is her friend and confidant.

The story will take several twists and turns of the good, the bad, and the ugly of people. When Dante rescues Gabriella, and then they must take shelter during a severe thunderstorm, he will unleash his Daddy Dom persona on her when she melts down. When her response is positive to his sternness, he will take things further. “I like knowing you’ll do what I say. I like control.”

How will Dante protect her from his own family? Gabriella is naively sweet and innocent and doesn’t fit in with his ugly world. He knows what is expected of him from his father, but he isn’t ready to give up Gabriella. How can he have what he wants and meet the needs of his family too?

The story will take on the classic Cinderella tale with an erotic twist that includes explicit sex scenes, spankings, and dominance. “I love it when you take control. When you spank me.”

Classic Cinderella With Heat!

“Mafia Daddy” is a thoroughly enjoyable and totally original rendition of the classic fairy tale with one caveat, it’s for adults only! With Vegas as the backdrop, Cinderella stumbles upon her Prince Charming and the naughtiness ensues. Professionally written with engaging characters, the story includes an evil witch of a stepmother, step-sisters you’d just love to slap senseless, a hotter than hades mafia crime lord and of course, the sweet innocent Gabriella. Follow this couple on an incredible journey from lust to love with a few twists and turns along the way to find out if they obtain their happily ever after. “Mafia Daddy” is a standalone story with no cheating, very mild discipline and a gruff but tender Daddy Dom who is so eager to please.

Children 18 and over only!

Mafia Daddy was a Cinderella fairy tale with a lot of modern details..

Dante is trying to get rid of some sort of rules that his father has commanded to follow. he doesn't want to continue living this life, he feels so out of sorts and out of his element.. searching for answers he finds someone who changes his life and makes him see that everything is possible now is up to him if he will follow his heart or continue a tradition that will only make him unhappy for the rest of his life..

Gabrielle works hard to maintain a house and roof to live, she though her father left her with some sort of responsibilities that are making her very unhappy, she doesn't know anything aside of working and fulfilling every demand her stepmother asks.. but her days living this terrible situation are almost over hopefully she will finally have the strength to leave everything behind and start a new life..

This was good listening, it was fast and entertaining, the characters where good and the story was also good.

Mafia Daddy is a modern day version of the Cinderella fairy tale with a hint of daddy kink and a mafia romance all rolled into one. The story is based on the initial meeting and growing relationship between Dante, the next in line to be the head of the Mafia in Vegas and Gabriella the waitress he meets on the side of the road.
The story will hold your interest as there was a bit of everything for action, drama, angst, steamy scenes, murder and so much more.Dante was the Alpha bad boy and I really liked his characters however Gabriella acted a bit too child like and naive at times which became annoying.
I listened to the audible version of this story which was narrated by Paul D. Henry. This was my first time listening to this narrator. I loved his voice. It was a deep baritone which worked perfectly for Dante, however there was no variation in his voice for Gabriella and this made it a bit hard at times to differentiate between the two. However he did a great job with the rest of the story and I did enjoy listening.

I accepted to listen to Mafia Daddy in exchange for an honest review from a Facebook Audiobook Review group. It does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Mafia meets Cinderella?! YES PLEASE!

I was sold when I saw Cinderella. I LOVE retellings. But then throw in mafia and Dante riding a motorcycle?!?! YESSSS!!!!

This was such a good book! Such a unique, darker twist on a classic love story. Not only was it unique on the take of how the story was told, but even the characters had unique names. You had Prince Charming and Cinderella in the original story, but here we had Gabriella and Dante.

The narrator did such a great job! It was funny to pull my self back for a minute and just listen to him narrate a female POV while Gabriella is getting dressed! Overall, a great story! I'm very much enjoying Jane's books and most certainly not my last!

Interesting twist on Cinderella

The story was interesting and far different than I had expected. It had all the things you would expect in a Cinderella retelling but involved so much more. I enjoyed being able to see both sides of the story.

I was not to fond of the narration of this book. I felt the flow, tone and infliction could use some work. I feel this narrator could be really good with a little more work on those things.

Retelling with a sweet Dom and really innocent Cinderella.
Dante, son of mafia boss, that hates mafia's lifestyle. He found Gabrielle that was waking to Town. They met accidentally. What will happen next if they felt sparks?
Gabrielle was so innocent that i couldnt belive it completely. Top naive.
Still plot and Danta ma de that adult retelling really interesting read.

Love this absolutely sweet kind of book. The hero was a total alpha male toward the heroine. The heroine was a little bit naive and innocent.

Nope. I just love Cinderella story and this book bring me the better version. The dirtier one.

You know what I mean ;-)

Dante Villanova's son and heir to the Villanova crime family in Las Vegas. Only Dante's no Prince Charming. He's done heinous things. He's had no choice. That doesn't mean he likes what he's done or himself for following his father's orders. Dante checks out, seeks temporary escape. To where? He doesn't care! Gabriella Madison isn't having much luck either. She's on her way to a concert with her stepsisters when they ditch her. Just dump her, in the middle of nowhere, no car, her phone dead. The last straw? Her flip-flops break! And that's where Dante finds her, hobbling down the road. He can't help but stop. She's so beautiful, innocent, trusting. He knows he's the last person who should help her. But there's something there, a draw so magnetic, so inexplicable, so incredible. Before he knows it, she's on the back of his bike, and they're roaring down the road. Dante doesn't want his tainted life touching her so he tells her nothing more than his first name. Gabriella's just as secretive. It's obvious Dante comes from money. She has none. She works 24/7 to keep the promise made to her father: take care of her stepmother, her stepsisters. Although her life's filled with cruelty and hatred, she has no choice either. Then the hammer falls. Dante's father issues an ultimatum. If he's to remain heir apparent, he has to marry. If not, his cousin will inherit. Dante wants nothing more than to abandon the life he hates, but he knows he can't escape. He also knows he's bad for Gabriella, but he can't stay away. He won't involve her in his life. He has to do what his father's ordered. A few short days are all he has left. Then he'll have to leave Gabriella in the past and walk away. But nothing's as it seems. Secret motives, hidden agendas are everywhere. Is anyone truly who they appear to be? When the fateful night finally arrives, Gabriella's given a chance to make a difference. Will she take it? Can it make any kind of difference? What can a poor girl with a truckload of trouble do for a rich, handsome son of a mob boss? Is it even conceivable for Gabriella and Dante to break free? Could there truly be magic? Nothing is certain except there's danger everywhere, and everything could end, forever, at the stroke of midnight.

Jane Henry has a very special talent, and I absolutely love every book she's written! She's once again taken an iconic fairy tale (this time Cinderella) and transformed it into a dazzling work of fiction that is totally captivating. It's enticing, delectable, dark, inviting, and very erotic. The combination of action, adventure, good, evil, Machiavellian schemes, and erotic romance is absolutely enchanting in its detail and ingenuity. This is no Disney fairy tale, but it works so very well. I'm beyond impressed! I was enthralled from the moment I started reading and literally couldn't put this down. To give Mafia Daddy anything less than five stars would be criminal. Thank you, Jane Henry, for such a beautiful, rare, imaginative, and thoroughly captivating read. You've surpassed yourself once again, and I can't wait for more!

One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. So good!

Gabriella is a waitress at her stepmother’s diner in Vegas. She’s sweet and considerate, but her evil stepmother and stepsisters don’t care, and they force her to work all day almost every day. Dante is next in line for the Villanova family throne, and his father wants him to marry so they can maintain power within the family, but Dante has no interest in bringing anyone into the dark world of the Vegas mafia. Until he meets Gabriella, stranded on the side of the highway, and saves her. Until she calls him “Daddy”. Will they find a way to be together forever?
Even though this story was based on Cinderella, and I know that story (Grimm’s AND Disney’s) like the back of my hand, I still found myself hanging on the edge of my seat with anticipation and excitement for what was coming next. There are so many little Easter eggs from the classic Cinderella story, which is really fun, but this book is also full of super steamy moments between Dante and Gabriella. I honestly didn’t know exactly how they would work it out in the end, but as promised, there is a happy ending. This was a nice, pretty light read. Especially if you’re already a fan of the whole Daddy/Little Girl thing. The only aspect of the book I had trouble with was the dialogue. It was smooth and natural, but for some reason it never felt like Dante was as old as he supposedly is and I kept picturing Gabriella and Dante to be so much younger than they were. Otherwise, fabulous book. I definitely do recommend it! Dante is fiercely in love with Gabriella from the very beginning (which I loooove) and Gabriella is written as a perfect LG.

Dante is slated to take over the family in Vegas for his father. He has been being groomed since he was a little boy and the only thing he must do is find a wife! However, the women he’d have to marry are none who have ever caught his eye. He meet Gabriella on the side of the road when her evil stepsisters abandoned her on the side of the road. He is smitten by her from the moment she is on the back of his bike. It’s like she was meant to be there and stay there always. He knows she can never be with him. She is not from a proper family and their midnight rendezvous are all he have with her because she can’t be away too much and he is always being watched.

She can’t get enough of Dante and she longs to be with him all the time but life doesn’t work that way and she knows he is hiding something but she doesn’t know what. The fact that he hasn’t revealed his true identity to her doesn’t makes her want him any less but she’s never sure if he could truly be hers!

Through various circumstances they had no control over they might just get theirs HEA. You’ll have to read their story to find out. You will not be disappointed. Happy Reading!!

Mafia Daddy: A Cinderella Adult Fairy Tale by Jane Henry is an excellent read. This sexy and steamy grown up fairytale is well written, has a great plot and lovable characters that are complex. Our hot Prince is Dante. A bad boy, alpha male that wants to give his good girl everything she needs but also fears he is not worthy of her. Our Cinderella is Gabriella. Sassy, strong, innocent and with a backbone of steel. Together they create a scorching hot couple. A great book that gives you drama, passion, hot sexiness, sweetness and humor. A very, very entertaining and enjoyable read. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

A spin on a classic

I wanted to really like this, but it fell short for me. Gabriella was to childish for me and her phrases. She's 21 but her phrases and how she acts reminded me of a much younger age. Dante and his tell the truth and doesn't like lies pretty much hid who he was for 3/4ths of the book. I would of liked it maybe 1/2 of the book and then more of them together, together. Not just in secret.

I did enjoy the twist in the end. I loved that Gabriella had a "fairy godmother," but again I felt like Ruby could of played a more significant role. Who is she? What's her history? There was to many parts of the story that was mentioned but not elaborated on.

I'm going to take full blame for this one! I hurriedly read the blurb and title and thought it was going to be about a Mafia Prince becoming a daddy in a Cinderella type story! Noooooool.....its a mafia Cinderella Daddy Kink story🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
I just cannot do the daddy kink. Basically daddy, incest, and humiliation kinks I just cannot read. I'm sure there are more but that's what I've found. Personal preference. We all dig different things!

Otherwise, I did enjoy this take on Cinderella!! I liked Dante, but Gabriella wasn't just naive she just seemed dull-witted😳 I think it also has to do with listening to the audio. The narrator was pretty bad.

Mafia meets Cinderella

This is a modern day Cinderella fairytale with the twist of the mafia being involved. I do enjoy a good fairytale and a good mafia theme, this combination worked well. Gabriella is a 21 year old naive girl loving in Las Vegas, this is a bit more unbelievable. At times in the book you forget she's 21, because the actions are of a much younger girl and this has me shaking my head a bit. I've read reviews that said this book had BDSM in it, however it does not. Only some spanking, which is ok it fits the storyline well. The daddy play in the book was written well.

Only one complaint

So, let me just start off with saying the plot was great for this trope, the heroine was lovely and likable and the hero was a growly, dominant alpha that guarantees a swoon. A + on all that. And the writing was excellent. BUT...

The use of FREAKIN condoms. JUST NO. There needs to be an unofficial romance writers rule that condoms immediately ruin the intimacy, the closeness, the connection. No one wants to read about nasty latex separating the hero from the heroine’s body, and everything that comes with it.

2.5 stars
I'll start with the things I did like about this book. I love retellings and the Cinderella retelling was great, based on the way it followed the original story line.
Things I didn't like; the whole daddy theme, which was what the boom was about. Its just not my cup of tea. I was alternating between cringing and rolling my eyes pretty much the entire time that the two main characters were together. I just don't understand how this is a thing that people enjoy. But I should have known going into it what it was about and quit before I ever started.

Modern day fairytale ,Must read

Modern day fairytale with the Mafia involved. This Islamist read for me. I loved the story of course and the Prince was a strong sexy alpha male who happened to be the son of the mob. Gabriella was a beautiful girl who didn't deserve to be treated awful by her stepmother and step sisters. She had Ruby and then she meets Dante, the attraction is sizzling hot and the sex is even hotter.

Loved it...

What is it that makes us want to read over and over our favourite fairy tales? Well for me and most people, it would be the happily ever after...but also knowing that good over rides evil as well as having a knight in shining after. So even though I am over 65 I will carry on reading their journeys. I love the way Jane Henry writes, so do yourself a favour and read them.

Ok this was surprisingly disappointing.
When I first started reading this book I thought this book was the best in the series but as I read more and almost finished the book and they were still a secret and Dante believed they won’t get together I was frustrated .
the beginning was amazing but the rest meh😕
if you want to read a book from this series I would recommend you only read beauty’s daddy
