They were left there to die, not to find love...

Dr. Alice Tanner is used to being ostracised. Sure, she's smart, but would it kill the universe to let things go her way for once? The other scientists in her elite research group never hesitate to give her a hard time. It's a pretty typical day then, when Alice and her group are abducted and dumped on a terrifying prison planet. Even that might not have been so bad, until she's found by a sexy but cocky alien who practically makes her his prisoner...

Commander Kecha Thornax is fierce, strong, and brave, but his animalistic desires are awakened by the peculiar human female. Everything about her is different, from her personality to her slight, fragile, arousing body... Kecha vows to protect her from the dangers of the prison planet and makes up his mind to claim Alice once and for all...

Their temptations on the prison planet risk their lives, so Kecha swears off his desires until they are in a safe place. He promises to take her to Earth, but now that she has been claimed, there is no way he will let her go... even if that means stooping to deception and risking everything!

Keecha is the first book in the Raither Warriors Standalone series. All books in this page-turning Sci Fi Alien Abduction Romance can be read as standalones, there are no cliffhangers, and happily ever afters are guaranteed!

Not quite sure how to rate this one. It worked as filler for my alien kick I've been on but there was definitely something lacking.

The plot was fairly typical and you don't get much more than the blurb shares. In fact I'd say the first 20% of the story was decent until Alice started showing her true colors. One word for her=BITCH. In some cases I could understand her anger but to be honest the way she behaved and acted should have been a total turnoff. She was selfish, rude and again, just a bitch. (In the instance of her sort of turning her back on the other women, I could kind of get her anger. They were mean to her boohoo, but she turned her back on each and every one of them without explaining anything and just up and left. She reacted harshly and just left them all on a dangerous planet, didn't try to introduce them. Didn't try to explain the situation to them or that she would maybe try to send help for those of her own species but nope she did nada. As a human I felt betrayed by her behavior here.)

One big problem I have was the huge typo happening in the book. The title is 'Keecha' and all throughout the book the hero is called Kecha, even the chapters start with this spelling. Such an easy mistake to fix.

The last thing I would like to say is that this story stops at 8%. That's right, not even ten percent of the book is this story instead it's filled with work by other authors. I'm used to this happening but not to this extent. It was disappointing as I could not track any progress while reading this and I at least would have expected over 10% of this to be the actual book I purchased.

Just okay

This book was only 8 percent, the rest of the book were stories written by a different author.
Alice is a scientist who doesn't get along with anyone on her research team. While researching plants on earth, the team was transported to an alien ship for breeding. When the aliens realize that they can't mate with the humans, they dump them in a prison planet. When her and a coworker wonder off a giant animal comes toward them. Alice tells her to run but she herself just stands there.
Keecha is a Raither. Him and his crew crashed on the prison planet. He gets thrown away from everyone else. While he searches for the he finds Alice and rescues her from the creature. She then follows him as he searches for his crew hoping she can return to Earth.
She thinks he is selfish and arrogant. He wants to find his crew and return to their home world Yala. Then send a rescue team to collect the other humans and any Raither that was not found yet. All she wants is to go back to Earth and not worry about anybody else, human or Raither.
In my opinion she is the selfish one that can't get along with anyone. Keecha lies to her about taking her to Earth on the way to Yala and that causes big problems.
The book was okay but I didn't really care about the human characters at all except maybe a secondary character named Mary. Even when Keecha tried to be stoic and not show any feelings he still was a better person than A!ice ever was.

WTH did I just read?

This book is advertised as having 1500 pages. It doesn't. Only approximately 8% of this book (119 pages) are story; the remaining 92% are previews of other books, authors, authors' rambling and nonsense.

I also cannot quite figure out how I read 120 pages of an alien abduction turned romance and still not have any clue as to:
1)How they fell in love
2) In what way did their relationship build
3) How the aliens are so similar to humans
4) How the aliens differ from humans
5) How the Earth currently exists & how much of space do they know/interact with?

What did I just read? I know nothing more than before I read the story other than apparently they fell in love, had sex and that's all she wrote. Literally.

I have no desire to read more about these characters, nor about whatever new world they live on. I wasn't so much bored as I was deterred from the series. I'd even go so far as to say not only would I not recommend this series, I'd go out of my way to tell people not to read it.

DNF approximately 60% (5%)
First book from this author.
As others have pointed out, this story is only 8% of the actual book. The beginning was promising, your typical “mars needs women” abduction, timid female with issues and alpha hero. But for some reason I was not able to connect with the characters at all, they seem distant not in love (or even in lust) with each other, nada; I understand that they supposed to be in a dangerous place but, don’t tell me you can’t sneak a lusty kiss here and there! and then, he supposed to have all this knowledge, but seems horrified for the most ridiculous things and bodily functions.
I was not able to perceive love, romance, or even lust or anything between them. And their communication skills were lacking, even though they were both speaking English (do not ask me how). And what is going on with is name? it is Keecha or Kecha?
I do not recommend this book, not even as a filler.

DNF after 2 chapters (25% of the story or 3% of the whole book).

Huh nice one. A clumsy but smart heroine. Bring on the tropes and stereotypes. Also, I see what the author has done... keep the science that she knows nothing about vague and then throw in some science buzzwords like "Fibonacci sequence" and "golden ratio" then don't explain to the reader their meanings. Talk about passive aggressive bullying of the reader. So how did she determine the plant at the beginning was alien in origin? Observation alone? The author is not doing female scientists around the world any favours here.

I thought things might improve in the second chapter but the hero is written in a juvenile and thoughtless manner that was really annoying. When he met up with the heroine, their combined stupidity was too unrealistic. I give up.

I should've read the reviews before reading. Notice how all the 4 & 5 star reviews are from ARCs... 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Alice is part of an Elite Research Team hand-picked by the President for Homeland Security. Keecha is Commander Keecha Thorax, a Raither from the Planet Yala. Both end up stranded on the planet Hexa, but for very different reasons. Stranded and alone, separated from everybody else, they must work together to find a way off the planet and back to Earth for Alice, and Yala for Keecha.

This was a wonderful story that I very much enjoyed reading. It was very interesting and I was pulled into to story quickly at the beginning, and was hard pressed to put it down for any reason before I had finished it. Alice and Keecha's story is full of suspense and danger and has a lot of emotion. I would recommend this book to everybody!

This book dealt more with the relationship of the couple, than being a first book for this series. We know almost nothing of these aliens by the end of the book. The story was good in itself, but lacked a description of this race. What is a claim and what does it mean? These men are oppressive and I can't imagine being in love with someone like that. I would have killed the alien for the deception that he played on me, or I would have made his life so miserable that he would have taken me back to earth. Great sex isn't worth being treated as a lesser being.

Kecha and Alice's story is exciting and takes you on a pulse-pounding, whirlwind of a ride from one planet to the next. No one does alien abduction romance better than Sky, and this book was no exception. It was fast-paced, intricately crafted, riveting, and the animalistic chemistry is off the galactic charts! Next in the series, please!

*I received a complimentary ARC of this story in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

First, let me say that I received an adance copy of this book to leave a review. Second, I only leave a truthful review of my reading.

I really enjoyed this story. Alice is such a nerdy scientist that she has no good interactions with others like herself. Commander Keecha is such a domineering man who thinks he knows what's right for Alice, that he almost screws it all up. This was an interesting read, and I recommend it. 5 Thumbs up

First 2 stories

I hated the first 2 stories. In Keecha one of the characters is raped and the lead female character called it mating and spoke of it as if it was nothing. they were dropped on the worst prison planet and the male lead said the should have been dropped on the mildest prison planet. The characters in the book were heartless and nasty to each other. Just not my cup of tea.

Another very poor book. The first story by Stella Sky was below OK. I mean you have this big hulking muscle guy and they run and hide? Scared of everything? Really not what I want to read in a romance story. And the 'bonus' books by Maia Starr??? Read like a 10yr writing the story. HORRIBLE. I hate that so many of the free ones are just terrible. Spelling errors. I would think if you are a writer you would at least proof read.

A new bunch of aliens to meet and enjoy. Dr. Alice was a great character and I enjoyed her story with Kecha who was also a good character. This was a fun read taking place on a prison planet with terrible creatures and the worst criminals and I look forward to reading more on this planet and other characters. I am giving my honest voluntary review of an arc that I received.

Me too?

Loved this book. Good storyline. Loved the action. I really liked the different points of view. The story telling from his and her minds. Wish the other humans had a little more air time. The story flowed well from one point to the next except towards the rescue part in the book. Moved a bit fast. Good quick read.

Well, I tried to enjoy this one. And, there were some things that I did enjoy, like the world building and the premise. But there were too many inconsistencies, particularly with the characters' actions and attitudes.

Keecha

Interesting enough to keep your attention but not long enough or enough substance to keep your mind involved with what else is going on. This is 1st book I've read by this author, but will give her another try to see if I like her books any better next time.

Good story, needs editing.

I enjoyed this book. The idea is a good one and for the most part the book flowed well. The characters aren't fully developed, but it doesn't kill the story. However, it needs some serious editing.

Grrr

The heroine is whining and really not likable. The hero is self serving and deceitful. This is just the first book of the box set. Can't take any more right now.
