I’m a billionaire bad boy. A military man who’s given up dreams for family. A loner of sorts.
My father built an empire and left it and every bit of the mess that goes with it in my lap when he died.
And I’m in desperate need of a personal assistant.
Someone who will speak straight, man up, take me on head-to-head. Force me to walk the line.
I just never expected it to be her.
She’s a single mother. The girl from across the street when I was growing up.
My little sister’s best friend. The one I lost my virginity to on drunk night my senior year.
But she’s perfect for the job and honestly, the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. She cripples me just by walking in the room. I want her more than I want my next breath, but does she feel the same?
And would it stop me if she didn’t? Hell no.
After a long year of loses, I’m ready for a win.
And I’m gonna start with her. Cause she’s always been mine and we both know it.
Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
I’m kinda over reading romance books that start out with the H having sex with a stranger, in detail, for the first chapter. There was literally no reason for it here. It didn’t have anything to do with the overall plot, didn’t come back up in the story at all, and only served to paint him as a bit of a sleeze- he fucks a stranger all the while thinking about how he doesn’t really like her, and can’t wait to find someone better to settle down with and start a family.... so stupid. Should I start reading these books by skipping the first chapter from now on? Ugh. But I digress.
The rest of the book was very predictable. Even the ‘secret baby’ trope was obvious. This book wasn’t terrible, but it won’t be on my reread shelf. Easily forgettable.
The beginning of the book contains outside of the relationship sex, extremely intimate acts portrayed very very graphically. Outside of the relationship sex is gross, undermines the real relationship of the book, and overall detracts from the story. I did enjoy the rest of the book, which is why I gave the book two stars instead of one. Those type of scenes are so detrimental to a story that I usually give such books one star. Not only was it gross and detrimental, but it was very out of place. It made no sense and made me automatically lose respect for the main male character before I even got to know him. I wish there were giant warnings on books with cheating and outside of the relationship sex so I could just avoid them.
Weston Parker nailed it! I fell in love with David and Allison’s story. This story had everything, it was sweet. It was hot. It was twisty and it had that build that kept you on the edge throughout the whole book. An epically awesome page turner with relatable characters that you are guaranteed to fall in love with!
Weston Parker nailed it! I've read most of his work with his sister Ali and these two are phenomenal. I always watch out for their books and they never disappoint.
Mister Big Stuff featuring David and Allison is such a hot steamy read, full of wild scenes and touching family drama. Love little sierra too!
Having a child and going through a bitter divorce💔 puts the kibosh on Allison's dreams🌈. She has a business degree, but raising a kid and dealing with a deadbeat ex, is making progress almost impossible.

In the dusty bootprints👢 left by David, I see traces of another related book in the works.........
This is another romantic💕 triumph for Author Weston Parker! Absolutely loved the book! It's sinfully sexy sweet and almost heart breaking at other times. It's an emotional up and down and back and forth. 💘Love is everything and nothing💔. 💘Love is everywhere and nowhere💔. It's a book about lost love💔 and second chance💘 love! Recommend!
David and Allison's story was wonderful and will capture your heart like it did mine. They were neighbors growing up and she was his sister's best friend. Their lives part and he goes off to service and she marries and divorces. When he returns ant they reunite - the spark is still there. lots of drama and hidden secrets - A craxy ex and a daughter that looks more like her first love. Surprises, twists and lots of passion make for a great story. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.
Does not live up to reviews, no emotional connections, needs more realism
The blurb and high reviews drew me but I didn't get the same experience as others. Whoever wrote the blurb needs to read the book and correct the inaccuracies. It's a bad sign when the book starts with the first chapter containing a raunchy sex scene between a main character and someone who is NOT the other main character. While I felt the affection between H and h in non-bedroom scenes, the sex scenes didn't improve and left me with little impression of emotional attachment and were still more raunchy than intimate and sexy.
Many scenarios involving the daughter were unrealistic and didn't feel as if the reactions would come from actual parents. I've never heard of a parent that instructed a teacher to tell the parent's child to "shut up" during school. Any teacher who said that to my child would feel some parental wrath. And it has nothing to do with treating children like "special snowflakes," as the H claimed, but about teaching and demonstrating respect. A teacher also has no authority to insist a parent put a child into counseling.
In all 50 states, DC, and the US territories, teachers are mandated reporters, meaning bound by law to report to authorities any suspicion of abuse or neglect, and not doing so violates state laws. A teacher would not confront the parents to suggest abuse or neglect is occurring at home, as this teacher did. It would be not just professionally and legally damaging, but just plain stupid to put ones self in that dangerous position.
Ultimately disappointing in the delivery of what could have been a decent second chance romance. A little more research and realism would have gone a long way to improving this story.
I volunteered to read this ARC. Weston did an amazing job. This story is a great second chance story. Allison is a single mom who just graduated from college with a business degree. She has been working in a dinner with her best friend to make ends meet, since she divorced her ex Doug, the jerk who verbally abused her, had been causing her issues by making comments information l in front of their daughter. He and his new girlfriend are always saying nasty things about Allison in front of Sierra, and since everyone always says she is a mini version of Allison, she feels that the comments are directed at her to. She is acting out at school. Deciding to spend time at her parents on one of Doug's weekend, he drops her off at the house and when Allison tells him he needs to watch what he is saying, things get ugly. After he leaves, Allison finds a blast from the past, David. David is a ex Air Force billionaire. His dad started the company, but after his death, David took over. He and his sister have met at the family home, across the street from Allison's parents, to clean out the house. After taking David decides he wants Allison back in his life and offers her a job as his assistant. One thing leads to another and things get quit heated. As we move thru the story done things start to be noticed, Sierra's eyes are the same color as David's, she likes and dislikes similar things, cold she be his? You got to read.
I enjoyed this book greatly! This is the 4th book I've read by this author and he did not disappoint.
Allison is a divorced mom struggling to put her business degree to use and looking for a better job. Her ex-husband is a major bleep (you fill in the blank) who doesn't care about anyone but himself.
David is a blast from her past that has never really forgotten her. He recently inhereted his deceased father's company and is trying to fill somebig shoes. They see each other again, by chance, and he meets her 6 yr old daughter Sierra who is immediately smitten with David.
This sets the main plot of the story in motion. There are a few subplots that are very interesting. The De Vant family finds out a lot about each other; some things not so pretty. The douchey ex shows his true colors and Sierra is acting out at school, although not sure what to make of the school's admin response to her misbehavior. Talk about wacky or maybe I'm just old enough to remember teachers dealing with situations and then informing parents.
This is one of my favorites by Mr. Parker. The only niggly thing is I couldn't reconcile Allison's need to have to be with someone. Ok David went away and she waited two whole weeks and went back to Doug who she didn't really want to be with? This made her a little less sympathetic to me. Also, I really wanted douchey ex to feel some pain. I know it's mean, but I'm just sayin'.
I have been blessed this weekend to read stories by talented authors who are capable of producing work that is emotionally complex, with a detailed and vivid plot, and has enough chemistry to level a city. I go into a book looking for a story that can suck me into the lives of the characters, make me weep for their heartache, and cheer for their victories. The two families involved in this book have done just that. David and Allison's is a story of second chances to get it right, and those second chances reach out to touch their families as well. David is a sweetheart from the moment the book starts: he pretty much can do no wrong in my eyes. Allison's a fierce, independent, single mother. To me, that makes her a super hero. They certainly don't get it right from the get-go. This book's about all the miss-steps they make while finding their way back to one another. There's lots of big, powerful emotions, some secrets and drama, a dose of lust, and a whole lot of family love. It also looks like there might be the set up for a future book or two in the making. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
Weston slide home with a sexy single mom from his past and a sexy hot tempting mister looking to be her future. Allison and David gave as good as they got. She took nothing from him, much. She had a lot to work on.
David was not your typical playboy billionaire. He was a man that knew the depths of the world. He had honor, respect, concept of justice, honesty, responsibility. David was sexy on a stick with a mouth of filth. He was sweet, charming, alluring, and protective. Allison was a strong, hard working, independent woman that did not sugar coat things. She was willing to do the job that needed to be done and do it well. So there were a few extra perks along the way.
Sierre was the icing on the cake. She added an extra layer of dynamic between David and Allison.
Weston delivered me another home run. A sexy, hot, alpha, billionaire male that did not play on the fact that he was wealthy and could have whatever he wants. There was family drama, a twist or two, a rekindled friendship/romance. Mr. Big Stuff delivered the goods.
Mister Big Stuff by Weston Parker follows the character of Billionaire CEO and retired air force military officer David DeVant, when his father dies and leave David in charge of the company, he gives up his dreams of being in the air force to come home and struggle with running the family business, little does he know that his longtime crush Allison Simon, formerly Beall, will be the one to make him want to stay. Allison is a single mother working at a local diner, who isn’t looking for much, just a job that she can use her business degree for to help take care of her six year old daughter Sierra, so when David offers her a job as his personal assistant, she jumps at the opportunity, not knowing that she will be spending all of her time literally in the same office with the boy of her dreams, David DeVant. As David and Sierra spend more time together, questions about their past together begin being asked. Can the pair stay friends after everything they’ve been through? Or will Sierra be the key to putting them together? I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. David and Allison were best friends growing up but went their separate ways when David goes into the Air Force leaving Allison behind. David comes home to take over his father's company when his father dies. Allison is a single mother and working as a waitress at a diner to support her daughter. Allison has a business degree but isn't having any luck finding a better job. When David and Allison see each other again, both realize the feelings and chemistry is still there between them. They both regret not telling the other of their love for each other when they were teenagers. David wants Allison and Sierra as his family and won't let her deadbeat ex stand in his way. Will David and Allison find their happily ever after? I really loved Mister Big Stuff by Weston Parker. Mister Big Stuff is a great story with great characters that will make you laugh out loud while reading. Loved the shocking surprise at the end of the book. Highly recommend getting Mister Big Stuff.
When a kid looks like you, does that mean she's yours?
David and Allison's story was an interesting read. David certainly realized that Allison was the only woman he wanted, but had a hard time admitting that. Allison knew that David was better than her ex-husband, but she still wasn't sure about his level of commitment because of how he abandoned her after he joined the military. He thought he was being noble by not making her a military wife; he should have let her help him decide what she wanted too. But then there wouldn't have been a story. The thing that confused me is that it seemed like Allison chased David when they were younger more than he had chased her; yet he made it seem like that wasn't the case. Which way was it? Or was it more mutual? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed it through the Kindle Unlimited program too.
Although I predicted some of the storyline outcomes I still enjoyed the journey leading up to them. I know some reviewers have complained about David's character development but just because he's ex military doesn't mean he shouldn't have been portrayed the way he was. In his ex job he was probably the strong, take charge man these reviewers were looking for, but that doesn't mean he can't be dealing with changes in his life, past regrets and dealing with the loss of a loved one.... your job shouldn't define you or stop you from being an individual.
Anyway... I loved the characters, the different relationships and the whole story. I especially liked the honesty between David and Allison with regards to their feelings past and present.
The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is a purely personal thing, one line in chapter one just didn't sit well with me, as I said just a personal thing. I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC.
This book overall was not bad. It seems to me that the sex David has with a stranger at the beginning of the book is more detailed than anything he and Allison did together. After the death of his father, David leaves the Air Force to take over running his father's company. While he and his sister are cleaning out their father's house, he runs into his old flame Allison and her daughter Sierra. Right away Sierra is taken with him. The spark is still there between them but Allison feels hurt that David just went away without a backwards glance. The more time they spend together, the stronger their feelings become but Sierra also becomes more attached to David, to the point where she is wishing he is her dad instead of the one she has. Some shocking truths are revealed that neither one of them knew to be true, making for a happily ever after
David and Allison dated in high school but things didn't work out. Now several years later they are living next door to each other again. David doesn't like how the man is treating Allison he doesn't know that its her ex husband. Allison hates talking to her ex even more than she does letting him take their daughter for visits. When David learns that Allison is looking for a job he hires her as his assistant. Allison's daughter love David so when her dad won't do activities at her school she asks David. Things get heated the more time they spend together until they give in to temptation and sleep together. This was an amazing story with a surprise twist. I loved it couldn't put it down. Another five star hit!
I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review
When his father died, David returned home to run the family business. After her divorce, Allison is struggling to support her and her child. One little girl brings them back together, but can they move past their past mistakes? Will David be able to finally have the family he has always wanted? Will Allison finally get her happy ever after?
This book was steamy! I was happy that it was a second chance and loved the fact that while they had loved each other before, they both were getting a second chance with their high school loves. Their first chance at love, they were both young and unsure of each other, despite knowing each other growing up, but the second chance they both knew what they wanted. I loved David's attitude towards Allison's daughter. This was a excellent, steamy read!

Absolutely loved it. Allison and David's story will pull at your heartstrings. Having known each other their whole lives and growing up across the street from each other as well as always having that first crush. When they "date" while in high school they are each other firsts. David being one year older went away to the Air Force and when he came back during Allison's senior year took her to her prom. When he left again they lost touch and her ex-boyfriend and her got back together. While being gone for 6 years what did David miss? Will Allison's daughter Sierra end up being his instead of her ex husbands? This should be a book on your TBR or a one-click today. This is a well written story with characters that are so very relatable. Loved, Loved, Loved it.
I absolutely loved this book! It had me on page one, and all the way to the end. I love second chance romances, and romances with children, and this book is both. David and Allison were both each other firsts years ago when they were both in high school, but now years later they see each other again. She is divorced from a douche of a man, and has the cutest little girl, named Sierra, who is six years old. He is a sexy billionaire, who is a real man, and Sierra immediately connects with him the first time they meet, as well as her mother. From there is a wonderful story, that is sweet and sizzling hot, all at the same time. This is another 5 star book from Weston Parker. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I highly recommend it.
This is the first book that I've read by Weston Parker but, if this is his what his books are like I will be back for more. I loved the two main characters Alison and David who had been childhood sweethearts and each other's first. The connection between them when they meet up after so man years apart is incendiary! her sweet little girl, Sierra, is a wonderful addition to the story and illustrates David in yet a different role. I thought that the story was really interesting and good and the writing flowed naturally with well developed characters that I was rooting for to get their HEA. I was also impressed with the bonus stories. I am looking forward to his next story :)
Mister Big Stuff was about more than just a single mom secret baby romance. David is wealthy but has his fair share of daily battles, while secretly yearning for a family. Alison is divorced with a daughter, and she's struggling to make ends meet. Their childhood times together were good, but life took them in separate directions. I loved the way they were able to reconnect, and while there was some drama and some great twists, the entirety of their story was engaging and full of feel good moments as well sexy, steamy ones! I love how Weston Parker is amazing, yet he just keeps getting better and better!
A well written billionaire romance that will have you hot from the sizzling chemistry between David and Allison. Weston Parker did an excellent job writing this story and the characters are fantastic. David was in the Air Force and came home when his dad died to run the family business. Allison is a single mother raising her daughter Sierra and dealing with her verbally abusive ex husband. Allison always liked David growing up and he took her to Prom. A definite must read that you will devour page after page loving the characters and storyline. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.
Yep frustrated was how I felt because Mr Alpha pants just makes you feel like that. Cocky with a strong business acumen and a real love of his brother and sexy to boot. Yes ladies that describes our leading man. Our heroine has her strengths but also her weaknesses just like our Hero. I liked the strong family bond and sexy scenes were off the charts. The author did a great job with this series and each character melded well with their own voice. Good read great escape.
The story line pulled me in. I fell in love with the characters David and Allison. I was mesmerized by their story, their lust and love until chapter 30 and the epilogue. There was such a sweetness to their love story I was hoping for their HEA. Then I started Chapter 30 and the tone changed and I doubted David and Allison could keep it together. The epilogue didn’t really feel like the end, it rather just petered out. I would give the other chapters a 10, the last chapter and the epilogue a 1.
dnf. Am sorry but there is so much wrong with this book I don't know where to start. It started out promising but the heroine is just a bit dumb. You had sex with somebody else 2 weeks after the love of your life left and broke your heart and never once thought it could be his? The planning in front of the 6 year old daughter about how to tell the ex-husband she wasn't his was just so wrong. Also the weird sex scene with somebody else at the beginning. I just couldn't read anymore. The most intelligent and grown up person was the child. Not for me sorry.
Weston and Ali know how to write a story that rips your heart out of your chest, stomps on it and then shoves it back in to try to start beating again.
David and Allison knew each other from high school and reconnected after his father’s death. Even though he was wealthy he was not pompous or conceited about it. He treated Alli and her daughter so sweetly that I was in love with him too. David just wanted a family to love. They had some obstacles to overcome but finally got their HEA. Good story - worth the read.
A wonderful story I had trouble putting down. The characters were engaging and the subplots interesting. Would really like to read Grayson and Missy's story, assuming they hook up.
The one problem I had with the story came toward the end. The timing. The story indicated a year had passed but David was acting like it had been only a few months. Then another year past yet the characters went back and forth as if it was a few weeks instead of a year. Made it confusing and disjointed.
This story if extremely explicit and reader's should be at least 18.
This book was really challenging for me to rate... on one hand I really enjoyed the premise of the story and the characters, but on the other hand it felt like pieces were missing... I don’t know what it was but either the editing cut things that didn’t seem necessary or things skipped on purposed I don’t know... I really enjoyed the characters however and their relationship maybe I was missing more of a backstory...
Wanted to love David but didn’t really get the ex-military vibe from him. I think his lack of character development fell short. Then there were random things that cracked me up and seemed a bit too intense for his personality (the snowflake comment and police comment). At the end of the day it felt like the author was trying too hard with David. Allison and Sierra were great!
