I received this book for my honest review.
Sorry review is late been dealing with family.

Twisty turns at every page. Josie and Blaine's journey was just that of a lawyer (Blaine) and school teacher (Josie) at times I felt like these characters were both on trial with all the twists going on in the book.
It's a hot hot book, but this one book was something out of sorts.
In the end well your going to have to read it for yourself these two characters will amaze you for sure.

I liked the story but I would've liked the suspense part woven more into the storyline instead of just at the end. I felt that this didn't mesh well with the entire story. Josie is quiet school teacher, who has a father with a gambling addiction. She has worked her entire life taking care of her father. No time for herself or love. One night she goes out for a night on the town to celebrate her friends upcoming wedding. There she meets a handsome stranger.

Blaine is a lawyer, who inherited his family’s practice and fortune when his parents died a few years ago. He has just been coasting along. Alone and afraid to live. He is a bonafide player. He is on the prowl for his next one night stand, when he spots her across the room.

Blaine and Josie have a hot night of sex and he leaves as planned. What he didn’t plan on was wanting to see her again. He starts up a world wind romance with her, quickly falling in love with her.

When her father gets Josie in some major trouble that lands Josie in jail, Blaine is heartbroken. He will do anything to help her. What will Josie do? Protect herself or her father? Things get dicey and lives are threatened. Josie sees no other way out. Will she leave the only person who loves her to protect him?

This was another compelling Mia Ford book. Full of hot sex, action, adventure and thrills. A story that will have you on the edge of your seat. With lovable intense characters. I was biting my nails with worry over Josie and Blaine.

Mia Ford has a wonderful writing style. Her stories flow smoothly and flawlessly. Taking a really hot man and creating a story that is not only full of hot steamy sex but serious drama, adventure and thrills.

This is a page turner full of action. If you like a good thriller with hot man candy, then this is for you.

Josie is a school teacher who is a young, kind, caring, intelligent woman who has had a difficult life mainly because of her excuse of a father who does nothing but cause trouble for her. On a night out with friends she gets drunk and meets Blaine who is handsome, wealthy, gorgeous eyes and smile with charisma that makes him a very popular playboy womaniser. But Josie is different. She's not like the others and for the first time in his life Blaine wants a relationship, a real proper adult relationship where they really know one another and make a life for themselves. Mia Ford has written a beautiful story here of passion, love, trust, betrayal and hope. Blaine and Josie bring out the best in each other and they seem so "real" that the story almost plays out in front of your eyes. This is a very special skill that only the best of authors can do and one of the many reasons why Mia is on my favourite authors list. Realistic and hopeful with a wonderful HEA. This is absolutely a well written romance story with many twist and turns! I was on the edge of my seat with the intrigue and suspense surrounding Josie. Blaine is wealthy lonely man out for his pick of a woman and ends up seeing Josie. He knows right away that she is different and finds he can’t stay away from her. Neither Josie or Blaine have had an easy life and the trying times are going to get worse unknown to them. Blaine jumps right into a relationship with Josie and everything is just wonderful. Josie’s Dad never did right by her and his issues have come full circle and have taken over Josie’s life. Blaine has been walking through life but not living and Josie opens his mind and heart and he does not want her to leave. Josie is a kindhearted and innocent woman and does for others above herself. Can Blaine protect Josie from the fallout her father has created and will Josie be able to live through her torture? I loved how Blaine never gave up on their love and Josie did what she thought would protect the last person she loved. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Blaine is bored with his life and the endless women after him for his money. One night at a club he sees a bachelorette party and sends them an expensive bottle to drink as a gift when he sees Josie dancing. Josie spends her time working and taking care of her father. When they get done dancing she leave with Blaine and they go to his place usually he has to force women out but with Josie he just wants her to stay. The next day he goes looking for her and they start dating each other. However drama with her father and some unsavory people throw a kink into their romance. Will the drama be too much for Blaine?

This was a great story I couldn't out it down once I stated it. I was surprised by what happened to Josie. If you haven't read this book I recommend you do so now.

Blaine is a lawyer, sort of. He has his law degree and an interest in his parents' practice, but since he lost both of them in an accident, he hasn't bothered to show up at the office. He's definitely a playboy with no interest beyond one-night stands. Until he meets Josie.
Josie is a school teacher, dedicated to her students. She also has dedicated herself to protecting her father from his addiction to gambling. She meets Blaine when she attends a bachelorette night and is blowing off a massive accumulation of steam. While she usually doesn't do the one night fling thing, he's too gorgeous and she's just tipsy enough to go for it. They both get more than they bargained for.
This story had a lot of heat and heart. It also had some suspense and danger. Very enjoyable.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Another fabulous book from Mia Ford! I really enjoyed Blaine and Josie's story. Two people who meet when Josie is out with her friends at a bachelorette party. Blaine is at the bar and sets his sights on Josie. Things move pretty quickly after that and the next thing you know they are boyfriend and Girlfriend. Josie is the caretaker for her father who has a gambling problem that soon cause problems for Josie. Blaine wants nothing but to help her and make sure no harm comes to her. This was wonderfully written with just the right amount of suspense, twists an turns and a great chemistry between Blaine and Josie. I was at the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next. I loved the sexy scenes and steamy romance of Blaine and Josie and was happy to see all worked out in the end.

This one is a hot romance with some suspense and I like it.
A bored rich guy met a good girl at bar, oh yeah I know this book gonna be a hot book.
It kinda slow but the more I read and when the suspense hit me I can't stop reading it.
This book really entertaining and with all those hot stuff, although it felt a bit rushed at the end, I really enjoy reading it.

As for characters. I don't like Blaine at the beginning, but when he shows his alpha protectiveness I love this man.
And for Josie, she's a very sweet and kind girl, unselfish and caring.
These two are so different but so perfect for each other. Love how Josie makes Blaine be a better man and I love their passion towards each other although I didn't feel their chemistry.

If you're looking for romance with some suspense in it, this one is for you.

Josie and Blaine met by happenstance at a bar, it was supposed to just be a hook-up for the night. She's a good girl who takes care of her gambling father. He's a lawyer with a lot of money. She's poor and love s teaching. He thinks he may have met his soul mate. This is not just a romance, it has so many other layers to make it a really good read. The injustices and personal pain that Josie had to go through were heartbreaking. The fact that Blaine had his own pain to work through while trying to help Josie, just shows what kind of person he is. Between the "system", jailhouse rats and mobsters this is a full story. Really enjoyable!

What was supposed to be a one night stand soon turns into more, when Blaine realises that he’s hooked!
Who would’ve thought the player, would finally succumb!
Josie has enough on her plate trying to keep her Dad on the straight and narrow and isn’t looking for commitment either, but they can’t deny that their chemistry is red hot!
There are quite a few twists and turns, to this story that will keep you interested.
A really good read once again by Mia Ford.

The elements of the story with drama, suspense, and steamy parts should be good. But to me, it didn't flow well. I just felt that Blaine and Josie didn't have the chemistry. It felt rushed. And truthfully, Josie was a bit annoying because she enabled her dad and didn't have a lot of good sense herself. There were parts where the story dragged on and on. As for Blaine, which type of law did he practice? He's out of work one minute and the next full-fledged into cases. He didn't seem helpful enough in Josie's case. I wasn't feeling this book at all. I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Josie is a school teacher who doesn't go out much but one night she goes out with friends to a bachelorette party. She meets Blaine and they end out going home together. It was supposed to be a one night stand but turns into something much more for both of them. I really enjoyed this book The characters are well developed and it's well written. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat until the very last page. Josie's father drove me crazy but other than that I loved this story. What a brilliantly written romance with intrigue and suspense. From the first Blaine and Josie seemed destined to be a couple - he was overcoming his fear of involvement and saw Josie for the absolutely wonderful woman she was. Josie’s wonderfully kind heart and feeling that she had to solve the ills besetting her father drew Blaine to her and his commitment to her drew her love for him too.

But there cannot be a true romance without some angst and also finding some things that grow between them and let the alpha guy and the gorgeous gal know that they are better together than apart. Mia Ford totally delivered when she wrote this story - passion and heat and intrigue and scary bits all mixed in with unconditional love. What a story, I loved all of this book, even the scary bits!

WOW! What a wonderfully suspenseful romance from Mia Ford! This is a book that starts out with our two characters Blaine and Josie out for the evening that ended with a one night stand. The connection between these two cannot be denied and the next day, Blaine(who usually avoids commitment) finds himself back at Josie's house. Their relationship grows from there, but as their relationship grows, get ready for some twists and turn and events that challenge their love. I highly recommend this story. Mia Ford has once again given her readers an entertaining book with a convincing storyline about choosing family or love. Josie has a hard choice on her hands trying to figure out which to choose. She and Blaine are in an adult relationship finding themselves in a dilemma. This story at times is an edge of your seat read trying to determine what happens next. With this book Ms. Ford brings forth a wide array of mystery, intrigue and danger while tugging at your heartstrings. A very enjoyable read indeed. Blaine is a lawyer and not looking for any kind of commitment. Josie is a school teacher and has a father with a gambling problem. Josie is on a rare night out with some friends when her and Blaine meet. They have steamy hot night but Blaine wants more. When Josie ends up in jail because of her father who will she protect and will be stick around to help? Fast paced read with plenty of suspense and drama. I liked both Blaine and Josie, they had great chemistry and the story keeps you on the edge of your seat. A good read.

This particular book wasn't for me. I honestly couldn't understand the storyline and the way it was coming about. It made seem like Josie had no friends when she was at a bar when she met Blaine for a bachelorette party. Blaine was very rich but seemed to not do much of anything. The gambling father with the addiction was a bit boring. I'm a fan of Mia Ford but this book just wasn't one that I liked for myself. Now saying that, just because I didn't like it many people did so you may too. That's why we all have our own opinions.

Oh Fuck Me.... this is the worst book I've read this year... characters were bland. Storyline was super predictable. I only read 5 chapters and I already knew what was going to happen! I scrolled through it because I couldn't stand reading it anymore and every single thing I thought was going to happen, happened... a bad "fanfiction" like book... it's like Mia couldn't decide what to focus this book on and so she just threw it all in there...
