All I want for Christmas...is a single mom. I have a daughter. So I know no kid should ever go hungry for the holidays. Especially not Elina's son... My woman deserves better than an empty belly at Christmas. I'll give her the org*sm no man ever could. But I have urges, too. Urges to kiss her. To taste her. To bind her wrists and take her.... I'll show her I can be the Daddy she needs... What kind of billionaire volunteers at a food bank? Nick, apparently. He saved me when I thought I'd lost everything. Gave me hope when I'd lost mine. Helped me care for my beautiful baby boy. But he wants to take something, too... My submission. Holly and Tara always give you a Happy Ever After, they hate cheating with a passion, and cliffhangers just as much as you do!
Daddy Wanted by Tara Wylde and Holly Hart a five-star read that leaves you wanting more. Wow this was such a sweet and twisted read, you get sucked into the nice story about the lonely single parents and you think how amazing if these get together, then things start to happen and boom spanner thrown from ten paces and everything up in the air. But do you know what it makes the story better, is just adds a depth and more detail to the story, to find out off they get their HEA you will have to read the story. Enjoy the read, you won’t be disappointed.
This is a real love story almost like the one you would watch on tv. Nick is a millionaire that just wants to do right in the world so he works and builds food pantries for the less fortunate. This is where he meets Elina, a time when she is in desperate need. The two of them are on two different lifelines in everything. But the chemistry is just too much for either of them to ignore. So the two of them go for what they want and hopefully, neither of them will lose themselves or their future from each other. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
This was just okay. This isn't my favorite by these two, although I had high hopes. It seemed like they were getting better as they wrote more stories, but this one just didn't do it for me. The writing didn't pull me in straight away, as the last one did. While I felt for both Nick and Lina, I just didn't feel the connection for them as a couple. I would definitely give these two another shot if they chose to write another story together. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Fantastic. There are some books that are so good you cannot wait for the ending; then there are the ones like this one which grabbed my attention every single time I picked it up... and I didn't want to finish it - But I couldn't wait for the ending either! Nick is a 30 something self made millionaire with a 8yo daughter. He's the CEO of one of his companies but is bored with his life. He volunteers and owns a charitable organisation giving back to those unable to help themselves which is when he first lays eyes on Elina. Elina is a single mother of a 4 year old little boy struggling to make ends meet. It never used to be that hard when she was with Joey's father but she found out the hard way that was all a lie. Coming home after a long day at work then shopping, she is greeted by her front door being smashed into in and all her furniture, Christmas presents and everything has been taken. There's also a horrific smell of pee. After calling the police, she has no other choice but to ask for help from the Happy Bean food barn which is when she meets Nick. Both characters are drawn to one another but Elina fights to protect herself from repeating the same mistakes she made with her ex and initially tries to stay away but slowly, Nick is able to garner her trust and eventually her heart. As they move forward in their relationship, it becomes apparent that Elina is not the only one who is struggling with her self worth and Nick finally opens up to a secret he's been carrying for 12 years. Of course no story is complete without the Psycho ex coming into the picture but that just made the story even better. What a fantastic read!
Lina has been really struggling since she broke up with her ex. He was a liar and a cheater and totally destroyed her life. She is having problems making ends meet and raise her four year oldson. Bad luck seems to follow her around. Her apartment gets broken into and everything is destroyed. She is even forced to go to the food bank to have enough food to get by. There she meets Nick a volunteer who gives he a special treat. When she goes back to thank him, he asks her out. They start dating but both of them have secrets they are reluctant to share. Nick is a rich money man who enjoys working at the shelter. He is also the father of a nine year old daughter. When he sees Lina, he recognizes he discouragement and hopeless in her and he slips her a present to give her a little hope. he can't get her out of his mind and is thrilled when she comes back to thank him. They go out together and have a passionate encounter. To Nick's surprise, he wants more from Lina but she seems to be pushing him away. Will he be able to reach her again or will their secrets keep them apart? This is a good book about a woman trying to leave her ex behind but he won't let go. She finds a new man willing to help her but she has to trust him. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Stars: 4 (out of 5) for overall story Chilies: 4 (out of 5) for heat between the sheets/or anywhere else
Genre: Romance Chapters: 28 Ending: No cliffhangers, No cheating, HEA Main Characters: Elina ‘Lina’ Petrova – single mom of Joey (4-5 yr old) Nick Carter – single dad of Katie (9 yr old)
Review: Again, another surprising read. Based off the title, I was expecting another ‘cheap’ story, but I am extremely happy to learn that my pre-opinions are VERY incorrect. This is an intriguing story about the struggles of single parenthood. Elina is raising Joey on her own and has so much sh*t happens to her that when she meets Nick and his simple, small act of kindness changes Elina’s world. I mean seriously, have you ever been brought to your lowest moment and all you could do is laugh you’re a** off hysterically, so much so that you couldn’t even go into an ugly cry? Add in a psycho ex who gets a kick out of the sh*t he does to Elina and Nick rescuing her and you have an awesome story that in the end will warm your heart.
Like I said, this one isn’t what you think, so don’t judge the book by its title! Oh, and the steamy scenes are just that…steamy (they even fog up the windows)!
Tara Wylde and Holly Hart are two fantastic authors on their own right but together they smash the ceiling for a terrific story. This is about two very lonely and hard-working single parents. Nick is a multi billionaire and is a single dad to a lovely little girl whilst Lina is a single mum to her cute little boy but is near the bread line no matter how hard she works. When the latest disaster happens to her her flat is ransacked and this is when she meets Nick at the local food bank where he is volunteering. I loved Nick as there was just nothing about him you could criticise him for - kind, loving, hard-working and will do anything, including giving up his free time to help others! The chemistry between Lina and Nick is outstanding and in this story we travel with them through the twists and turns that will, hopefully, lead to their HEA. beautifully written with feeling and details to make the characters "come alive" as you read the story. A truly special story that I love. Enjoy as its a real page turner and a story that you won't forget :) I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
While I thought this book was good, it wasn’t my favorite of the collaborations these two authors have done in the past. I’m not really sure why because there wasn’t anything really wrong with it grammatically, the characters were good and the storyline was good. For some reason, I just didn’t get hooked like I was hoping to. It started out pretty intense and I thought that it was going to really rope me in but it seemed to slow way down before it picked back up. I will say that I did really enjoy the characters. Elina was an amazing mother and tried her hardest to make everything perfect for little Joey and to not let him know of the hardships. Elina meets Nick when she has to go to the food pantry that he started. It leads to a hookup in the back of his car. One night stand or can they make a real relationship out of a backseat hookup?? Altogether, a good book that I still suggest reading. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Elinia and Nick’s lives are so different. She’s struggling to make ends meet and Nick is extremely wealthy. That’s where the difference stops. They have so much more in common. Both struggle to handle personal demons from the past, and each are alone raising a single child. And, both are needing love and connection in a lonely existence.
When their paths crosses, Nick and Elina recognize familiar souls. The romance is heartwarming as we learn about their budding friendship and relationship. I admire Nick putting his money to great use helping others in need when he establishes the food pantry. Elina is everything Nick needs, strength and compassion and heart. But when Elina’s past threatens her life, Nick’s protective instincts kick in, and he’s not about to lose the one woman who completes him in every way. Wonderfully well-written holiday story. So GOOD! What an unexpected, but welcomed surprise! Daddy Wanted, by the dynamic duo, was a storyline filled darkness and sadness, but when Lina and Nick meet a beautiful love blooming story begins. Now it had some suspenseful moments, a hotter than Hades love scenes ( I mean, I did not see that whole "Other Side" to his personality coming! I became team #Nicholas at that point ha! ) humor with did not see that coming twists made for a story I had to keep reading! Loved this book more than I could have imagined, while it had its dramatic moments, there was no overly done theatrics- fighting over juvenile misunderstandings, raging jealousy etc. They talked to each other like adults, I didn't know what to do with myself! It was fantastic! ( To the authors THANK YOU) Relatable characters, including the kiddos, free-flowing, well-developed novel, I will be reading again!
I enjoyed this story. The characters were sweet. Nick and Elina both have not exactly had an easy life. Nick grew up in foster care and lost his twin brother. Elina had a good childhood but has had it hard the last couple of years. She is trying to stay afloat and things just keep happening. She ends up meeting Nick when she goes to a food bank to get her by. They have a connection and the second time they meet things take off. Elina is guarded and doesn't know if she has the time or energy for this but when Nick comes around she just can't deny it. Nick is in control in the bedroom but otherwise isn't super alpha. He is sweet and wants to take care of Elina, in the right ways. I enjoyed reading the story. It had a good pace and was written well. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I just finished reading Daddy Wanted. I enjoyed this story. The plot was different and it was refreshing. The female character was strong, resilient and you wanted to root for her and believe she would win over all the obstacles that she faced. The male character came across as quirky and more emotional than a normal male character but once you learn his back story you understand why he is the way he is. He is a Billionaire but not portrayed the way most authors portray their Billionaires.
The characters of the children in the book were spot on and funny, adding a bit of humor which was nice with some of the drama that was in the plot.
This book was not as light hearted as some so a bit of comic relief was welcome, but the situation with the protagonist was handled carefully and accurately.
I really enjoyed reading this novel by two talented authors.
****I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review**** A great storyline, with suspense, great, smoking hot love scenes and a sense of humor. Lina's reputation was ruined by her ex-husband who was conning people including his wife, that he was dying from cancer. People were giving them money to the sound of thousands of dollars. He was lying to his wife that he was working and never had a job. The only income coming into their bank account came from Lina's job. When the ruse was revealed Lina was thought to be a knowing partner. But when she met and fell for Nick, her life was changed immensely. She had a young son and he had a nine-year-old daughter. They kept them a secret from each other until they were sure of their feelings. When Lina's ex kidnaps her, Nick becomes her "knight in shining armor!" A great read!
Daddy Wanted is the collaboration of two favorite authors that had me laughing at Nick’s antics, rooting for Lina, and loving everything about their story. Being scammed along with the generous donators, and also assumed guilty along with her crazy ex, Lina could have been bitter about loosing everything but instead she’s a hard worker, a good mother, and is trying to get back on her feet. Nick is a wealthy CEO and also a volunteer for a food pantry. His kindness of others is evident from the beginning and you can’t help not falling for him along with Lina. Their story is sweet, compassionate and full of laughter along the way. Nick fights for Lina, believes in her and will do anything to make her happy. This had a different tone to it than others by this duo but completely worth reading!
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
What would you do if you were down on your luck and didn't see a way up? Anything you could to survive right. Well Elina is facing this type of problem. What she never expected was Nick. Nick not only knows how to help her up he knows how to help her with all her problems. Can they make it though or will this just be a good Samaritan passing through her life?
This book is amazing and will help you warm up on those chili nights. This has some ups and downs that I really want to tell you all about but don't want to ruin the story for anyone else. I will say this book will grab you from the first word and not let go till the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This was a pretty enjoyable story. I like both main characters Nick and Lina. Nick was a such a sweetheart you can't help but love him. I really felt for Lina, she was really going through a tough time and was doing her best to give her son a good Christmas. While I enjoyed this story there were a few issues I had. First, for someone who had no money Lina spent a lot on unnecessary things. Second, they kept the fact that they each had a child from one another way too long and third I thought Lina should have known what was happening with the strange stuff going on in her apartment or should have suspected what was going on. Other then that it it really was an enjoyable story and a good Christmas read!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is a Christmas themed romance. It has a sweet storyline with some twists added. I liked Nick he didn’t let greed rule his decisions even though he was filthy rich. He is the true meaning of the Christmas spirit. He tries his best to raise his daughter Katie. He runs and owns a food shelter for the less fortunate. Elian and her son Joey are having a tough time making ends meet, she runs into her guardian angel Nick and they find an easy friendship with each other. This couple didn’t have an intense spark with their relationship it was a slow, easy romance. It has a good storyline with that will put you in the Christmas spirit.
This was an extra story in an arc Copy. Oh what a romantic story BUT at times, with harsh reality thrown in. Lina has had a really rough past and struggles every day plus bringing up her son Joe. He’s such a sweetie. She really doesn’t have much but to be burgled is the last straw. I wanted to cry for her. Who would do this. But fate intervenes and she meets Nick at a charity store and now her life changes forever. He is so caring, loving but Lina finds it hard to trust. Two people, two different lifestyles but fate meant for them to be together. Even coping with the dark side of Lina’s past...Nick is there for her. All in all a really good story.
Format: Kindle Edition I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. Sometimes when you get an arc you give he book a higher rating than you normally would had you paid for the book. I am tired of being less than honest because some people will have to spend hard earned money and I am going to be brutally honest. I loved this book because there was none of those stupid misunderstandings, no secrets or lies. Just a story about how real people struggle to find love and accep
I loved this sweet read. The storyline was interesting and thoroughly entertaining. It was filled with action, drama, emotion, and romance. Nick and Lina were super sweet characters who were very likable, with a dash of naughty. Loved their chemistry and connection. A well balanced storyline which flowed smoothly. The authors did a great job with their detailed writing and visualizations for the reader. A very enjoyable read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Elina and Nick are certainly an interesting match and while there is absolutely nothing wrong with this story, it's isn't my favourite by these two. The heat is there, the suspense and the nice cosy feeling you get when you read a satisfying book and Elina and Nick despite the vast differences actually fit perfectly together, it just wasn't enough for me. Don't let that stop you buying this one though - like I said, it's a perfectly written and heartfelt story - I just simply didn't connect with these two as I have others created by Holly and Tara.
Daddy Wanted by Tara Wylde and Holly Hart This is the story of Elina and Nick. They are both single parents trying to make their way through life. Elina has been left with problems from her ex. She is struggling to provide for her son. She meets Nick at the food pantry he is donating time at. They get acquainted and start dating. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone, so I won't give anything away. It has passion, suspense and angst. This book is a very enjoyable read. I received an ARC for my honest review.
Absolutely love Nick. Lina is down on her luck after her ex took everything away from her. Lina is trying to give her son Joey a good life. Meeting Nick was by accident but it was best thing that ever happened too her. Lina & Nick are perfect together and absolutely love reading when they are together. Great read that had me glued to my kindle.

Bit of advice..make sure you have completed any tasks you have and set a snack down beside you before starting this book. Why? Because you will not want to move until you have finished this story. Nick and Elina were both wonderful characters as was the storyline. The more I read by these talented authors the more I want to read.
*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
This is my favorite book they have wrote together thus far. I really loved this book. This book kept me glued to it from start to finish. I love both of these characters, Nick and Elina. Nick maybe very rich but he's not a workaholic and gives back to the community. They meet while he is working at a food pantry to help the less fortunate. Elina has had some bad luck and needs a little help. They can't deny their attraction. I can't wait to see what these two authors comes up with next.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Nick and Elina meet at the food shelter where he is a volunteer. He was still mourning the loss of his twin brother and was helping in the soup kitchens they founded. She faced many challenges in her life and is raising a young son on her on. Their chemistry is off the charts and it was sweet to watch their relationship grow. His daughter and her son added a lot to the story. A sweet read.

Another fantastic book by Tara Wylde and Holly Hart. When these two authors team up they create Magic!!!! Nick is a billionaire and a single dad to a daughter. Lina is a single mom to a son, working in a restaurant but no matter how hard she works things go wrong for her. The two meet at a local food bank and it's instant chemistry between them.
