The last book in the series of Mike Pannett's adventures in North Yorkshire. Like all the rest, a joy to read.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, he really is the Gervais Phinn of Policing, the books are witty, humorous and "nice" but they also tell the crime stories well.
It's a shame there won't be any more, I believe his next book is about his days in the Met.
really enjoyed the lastest adventures of acting sarge pannett policing the yorkshire dales and its funny in parts and looking forward to the next installment of the series
I really enjoyed this. I've read a couple of Pannett's other books and they're just as good.
For all the crimes described in this book are serious, they're told in a gentle manner which makes it feel like you're not reading a hardcore real crime book.
It also helps that these are really well written and you can tell that he cares about his job, community and those in it. So glad I found these!
A very enjoyable account of the life and work of a policeman in the Yorkshire countryside. Mixed in with the usual police work there are some very funny incidents. Glad I found this book and I intend to read more.
Fantastic read, it was full of laughs and emotion, really hope there is a follow on to this as it ended right on a cliffhanger! There must be a follow up! Couldnt put the bool down, absolutely brilliant
I’ve now read the four books I’d picked up from various charity shops and having enjoyed them all, I have chased down the 5th to complete the set. I Will miss the tales from the Yorkshire Bobby when I’ve finished the series.
