I don't agree with everything about Joyce Meyer, but one of the things I love about her is how plainly she communicates so that anyone can understand. This book describes the war that is being waged in our minds, where negative thoughts can lead to all kinds of negative behaviors, like worrying for example. She explains very simply and practically how to conquer those thoughts with good, pure ones that lead us down paths of hope and healing. I know from personal experience that what she says is true.
I started this book several years ago and was ashamed when I realized I had never finished it. As I picked it up today with the goal of finishing it, I realized why I had only made it as far as I did. You need to be able to reflect while reading this because for me it had some very insightful, life changing, spirit guiding observations. Some things I wanted to hear other things I didn't. It is one of those books that you have to be willing to listen to the Holy Spirit guide you and realize not everything may apply to you but the things that do can be sought after in prayer.
I loved completing this study guide that goes along with the book, Battlefield of the Mind. It really helps me to identify the things I've been thinking about and discern whether or not I really need to be thinking about them at all.
Great companion book to the main book. Use this book as a tool to help you process what you’ve read in the main book as well as areas where you need to grow.
Life changing book! Do yourself a favor and pick this book up. It will change your whole perspective. You wouldn't be reading this review if you didn't need this book. THIS IS YOUR SIGN!!
I learned to changed my way of thingking isntead of negative, i chose to think positively because with out the renewing of my mind, i can't make my life holy and acceptable to the Lord! because the battle is really on the mind, when we have the mind of Christ,we could change from glory to glory!
This book was just what I needed, I believe I will read this book again. I have just purchased the study guide to help me along next time I read the book. This book is one of the only books I have read that has affected my life in a positive way.
Gaining control of what you think is so hard! I love how this book broke down what I think and gave me ways to think about my thinking. It's definitely one worth revisiting in part if not the whole thing.
