This is hands-down the most melodramatic story I've read that wasn't written in the 17th century. Just when you think the author has no more story twists to play, she whips out a new one, and try as you might to hate the characters (or at least Hina and possibly Natsuo for being what my mother would call "a weenie"), somehow you just can't. It may not all be worth it in the end, but it will never have been a boring ride.

The first half of this volume was really good. The focus on Rui and her dream and how it brought her father back into her life was enjoyable and felt more real. Then we get bombarded with the fan service. There were some laughs in there but it was not anything original and standard tropy stuff. The cliffhanger ending is the soap opera drama that people come to this series for.

Really? Really Natsuo? Just when things were going somewhere with Rui? When he was doing better? Honestly, Rui deserves so much better. She's too good, I can't have her heart broken all over again..

What was up with that PORKY's ass side story at the end?! There is always fan service but it is never usually this cringe-y and gross. It is too bad it is mixed in with the really nice stuff with Rui finding something she is passionate about mixed with more of her backstory.

The relationship between Rui and Natsuo is so positive (relatively) and they are so good to and with each other! So of course a spanner gets thrown into the works. The way Natsuo can hurt Rui SUCKS! That last thing he does to her... ugh!
