"Profits are better than wages." (Jim Rohn, The Ultimate Jim Rohn Library)

This program was over 11 hours long and worth every minute of it. It covers everything from personal development, career, business, communications, etc.

Jim Rohn has a very down to earth style of communication. I like that he also refers to the Bible many times for his illustrations. He always says that He is an amateur on the Bible, but I don't think he was. I think he studied it and was a student of the Bible and many of his ideas and philosophies are based on the Bible. I took pages and pages of notes from this program, so cannot delve too much into them.

I particular liked an exercise on this program on goal setting. He takes you through writing down 50 goals and then having you break them down into 10 year, 5 year, 3 year and 1 year goals and then prioritizing them down to which ones are the 4 most important and then other exercises to hone your goal setting skills.

Wealth of information well worth the cost and time.

This is that kind of audio book that makes you wanna get up from the couch and do things. I loved it. And i love Jim Rohn. The way he speaks only helps you want to listen more of what he has to say and his sense of humour makes listening to him even better.
I took so many notes during the time i listened and i'll leave here one from his last volume, that's stuck in my mind now: "Most people wait to get through the day. Learn to get from the day not through the day. Learn from it. Let the day teach you and join the university of life."

One of my favourite philosopher of all time! :) Deeply inspiring and motivating to read this book.

Great questions to ask yourself:
Are all the disciplines that I’m currently engaged in, taking me where I want to go?

Why do all this? (meaning personal development, setting goals, improving and so on) is a great question to ask! Jim suggest to counter ask this question:

Why not?
Why not try to be all you can be? Why not maximize your life?

Why not now?

This audiobook is a great investment in time.. And I will re-read it regularly.

Lastly:
The reward of a disciplined life is great , but often delayed
Reward for lack of discipline is immediate

Consistent self discipline

Compare a fun day at the beach with owning the beach 🏝

Price of life if discipline

Life of ease and life of discipline, each has its reward

The price of discipline and the price of regrets
We will pay!! One or the other.

UPDATE: read it for the third time and most likely will
listen to it again. It is the best book about personal development, period. Whatever you read from other authors such as James Clear, Tony Robbins, or others, they most likely heard it first here. The teachings in this book are timeless, and Jim’s delivery just perfect.

If there’d be 6 stars and you can only give it once in life, I might give it to this book. This is THE book about personal development. Many who dove into the theme might recognize teachings that Tony Robbins and others have taken from this incredible man here. The wisdom in this book is just endless. Make yourself a favor and listen to it: hearing Jim Rohn at seminars is really worth it.

Jim was one of the chief proponents of that now ubiquitous American philosophy that wealth is a moral virtue. In fact, in treatment, it's often treated as the highest possible virtue. You generally will hear ten minutes of talk about how important being rich is for every ten seconds spent on treating other people with dignity, for instance.

You can't get through anything by Rohn without a variety of quotes that illustrate this. Like this one: "The better the person, the bigger the bank account." He routinely uses the size of a person's bank account as proof one way or the other of their value as a person.

Here's another: "It doesn't matter if you graduated Magna Cum Laude if you have a low-paying job." Really? The pursuit of money is the ONLY worthy pursuit?

Even so, there are gems tucked in that are worth looking at if you aren't the type to fall for the other stuff. You can tell if you're the type to fall for it based on whether you feel the need to argue that he doesn't say that.

For a guy who talks about reading a lot (a real high point is his recommendation that everyone spend at least 30 minutes a day reading- specifically from a variety of types of books), he only really seems to be able to quote one book and it's only the verses from vacation bible school, so it's not totally clear he even read that one.

Hopefully, by pointing out this rather glaring problem, it does not indicate that I don't think he has other value to offer. There's a lot of useful stuff in here depending on your personality and skills and habits.

10 hours of pure wisdom and action!
If you haven't met with Jim Rohn, it means you haven't had the chance of your life yet and are probably still far away from meaning.

An incredible, life-changing collection that I wish I'd discovered earlier in my 12-year personal development journey. Many of the lessons I learned the hard way could have been shortcut through Rohn's timeless wisdom.

What sets this collection apart isn't just the content - it's Rohn's masterful delivery. His unique speaking style, with perfectly timed pauses, strategic repetition, and well-placed humour, transforms these principles from mere information into profound insights. The way he delivers lines like "Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better" - with that characteristic pause and slight chuckle - makes the message hit home in a way that reading alone never could.

His storytelling ability is world-class. Rohn's folksy wisdom, combined with impeccable timing and vocal intonation, makes complex principles digestible and memorable. Whether he's explaining compound interest or personal responsibility, his delivery style - part mentor, part philosopher, part friendly uncle - creates an emotional connection that makes the lessons stick.

The beauty of Rohn's teaching style lies in its simplicity and depth. His famous quote "Work harder on yourself than you do on your job" exemplifies the practical wisdom found throughout these volumes. He doesn't just tell you what to do; he explains WHY and shows you HOW, often with a witty observation that makes you both laugh and think.

This is the kind of resource that deserves an annual revisit. Each reading (and listening) reveals new layers of understanding as you progress in your own journey. It will remain a permanent fixture in my collection, serving as both a guide and a reminder of the fundamentals of personal growth.

For anyone serious about personal development, this comprehensive library isn't just a book - it's an investment in yourself. But do yourself a favour: listen to the audio version. Rohn's masterful delivery makes these life-changing principles truly unforgettable.

This is just a phenomenal book. His points are not particularly revolutionary but he has influenced so many other motivational speakers that today we hear much of his advice spoken through the mouths of others, most notable Tony Robbins.

This is a book that is best listened to not read. Jim Rohn is a speaker and his book is written like one of his talks. Get the audiobook where you can listen to the man himself deliver his jokes as he intended them to be delivered. He has a unique way of speaking that is both funny, cajoling and empathetic all at once. I would say even better go to youtube and listen to him there as his words are taken mostly from his talks and his talks are intended to be spoken to an audience. Much of his humor is lost in the written text, it is good in the audiobook but when he can bounce off an audience they take flight.

Well worth a read.

Listened to it as an audible. Jim Rohn is inspirational -- to me, and I totally understand if he is not inspirational to everyone; I am not looking at inspiration as a universality. In the words of Rohn himself, why someone is inspired and someone is not, "are mysteries of the mind". But Jim has the right blend of "philosophy" and action-ability in a strange mid-20th century sort of way. A lot of focus on core values, integrity, character.

I prefer listening to Jim Rohn, rather than reading -- there is a certain pitch in his voice that reaches me , in a positive way.

I loved listening to the audio version of this book. Jim Rohn is warm and engaging. His works here are a treasure trove of inspiration, motivation, and practical application. One of the reasons I came back for more Jim Rohn is that I kept running across other motivational authors who refer back to Rohn as their mentor.

I have been increasingly obsessed with influencers for the past year or so and, for me, Jim Robb is the Godfather. I love everything about this man from his message to his delivery and this book has it ALL. I bought in audible for a 10 hour road trip and I never got tired of it. Jim Rohn will change your life if you allow him.

I have read and listened to a lot of personal development material. Nothing that I have ever listened to has grabbed a hold of me this hard. I have been stirred to action, and have started laying foundations for disciplines that I do believe will change my life, and the life of my family. There is something about Jim's style that just resonates with me. I can't wait to pick up more of his stuff.

I listened to The Ultimate Jim Rohn Library via Audible in the summer of 2018. I cannot recall why I did not like it.

It was a series of platitudes, I recall. Some funny stories, but mainly a mishmash of why you are doing life wrong.

But I could be wrong.
