If you have been following my reviews you know that I am a big fan of Tara Crescent's books, they are not only steamy but they can usually be read in just an afternoon. Her Cocky Firefighters is the second book in The Cocky Series which can be read as a standalone although I highly recommend reading the first book Her Cocky Doctors. So hot you’ll need two firefighters to douse your flame, let’s be honest who hasn’t had a fantasy about a sexy firefighter....or two ;)

We once again return to Goat, Oregon, where the town sign reads, "Embrace Your Weird," where the businesses are named Goat Morning, Goat to Eat, and The Nanny Goat. Six years ago, Hailey Martell's fiancé and ex-best friend ran off together. Now her online magazine, Girl Power, is near bankruptcy. Her expenses are through the roof. She just can't afford Portland anymore. When her best friend, Lana, tells her there's a job at Goat Weekly, Goat's local newspaper, Hailey jumps at the chance. But are things ever that easily fixed? Hailey soon learns that Nick O'Sullivan and Sean Keefer live in Goat. Tara Crescent is another favorite author. I absolutely love ménage stories, and Ms. Crescent has written another inventive, creative, whimsical installment in this series. It's alternately funny, scary, joyful, heartbreaking, mysterious, and incredibly hot. The plot is well-developed. The characters are eccentric in the best of ways. The setting is unique and offbeat and is the basis for much of the plot's sense of humor. It's very unusual to find a true sense of humor and silliness in such a hot, erotic ménage novel. You'd think it would be hard to take a town named Goat seriously. While it's a funny name, it lends itself to the uniqueness of the story Ms. Crescent's created. It's clear Ms. Crescent has done her research into every aspect of small town life. The physical descriptions of the town, the surrounding countryside, the major cities nearby, are very accurate and detailed. I loved the relationship between Hailey, Nick, and Sean. Each of the three has a very distinctive and unique personality. The three certainly don't seem like they would fit together in any way. But I loved how the relationship took all kinds of totally unexpected twists and turns. The mystery and unpredictability of the story drew me in and held my interest from the first page. I was fascinated from the moment I started reading. I give Her Cocky Firefighters five stars for the very special combination of quirkiness, humor, and hot romance, It's an unusual combination, and one I think Ms. Crescent has done very well.
One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

Just Read It!
Absolutely loved this book, the second in a two part series. Tara is a new author for me and after just two books she’s become a fast favourite. I loved the story on Lana’s friend Hayley and it was also great to get the odd update on Lana, Declan and Blake. If you love happy ever after and threesomes I really recommend you read this series. Now I’m off to read the Dirty series.

After 6 years, Hailey runs into her one night stand again. Nick and Sean! Not wanting to risk her heart again, they decide to be friends with benefits, but that is put to the test in this story. Throw in some suspense and a twist or two and Tara has created a great story with these 3 characters. I was hooked from the first page.

Soooo shallow,couldn’t even fill a shot glass....
Dang, I hate the sentence I’m about to type,but here goes ...
I really wanted to like this but .....
Dang I hate it hen you really like a book but there just isn’t anything to it really, what makes it doubly disappointing is that finding a TRUE M/F/M where all the romantic and sexual is completely centered on the woman isn’t easy....too many books that call themselves M/F/M menages are really MMF menages where the men are bi, not the same thing ppl .... just because the women gets the attention sometimes but there is m/m going on, it’s soo NOT. THE . SAME.
Soo I was really hopeful.... I’d downloaded the first book with the doctors but this one sounded sooo interesting w/a kinda second chance at romance thing going on I skipped ahead,can’t say I regret that choice but yeah....
Ok,you have a quirky lil town in the Pacific Northwest,,two yummy firemen,arson, supposed intrigue,a supposed second chance.... sounds good right ?
Deep sigh, it might have been if the h wasn’t a tired bitter cliche ,”my man cheated on me! Soo I’ll never lie or trust again!” Right, I call it cowardly and ironic for a woman who has the nerve to call herself a feminist is letting a d bag of a man have control over her life choices 6 years on....
Six years ago the man she ‘“thought” loved her left her for her supposed “best” friend ,but sadly as horrible as that was instead of using it to make herself better to be she was just bitter... I mean what else can you call it ? Here’s a woman of supposedly 28 years is supposedly brave enough to keep trying on a failing business over and over and over but get her heart broken once and that’s it ? I call BS! You can’t live out your life on this planet and not get your heart broken at least a few times.. it’s life it’s how we learn... it’s how we grow..
But th3 characters here don’t grow ... why ? Because this is more like the out line of a story than a true story...
We are told time goes by in this relationship weeks pass,a month passes but we are told not shown... we get see them have “sex” but nothing all that steamy to me,why ? Well where’s the steam id there’s not chemistry or build or time to get to know anyone or time to build a relationship? Other wise it’s just tab A into Slot B... big deal...
There is plenty of upset and angst at time about a supposed election,and some jerk wanting get rid of their small town volunteer fire department, and other little niggles here there like a romance diet years in the making finally coming to a head but sadly it was all build up but little to no pay off...
Every thing was kinda melodramatic and wrapped it’s self up mainly off camera just as you were hoping something good to finally halon...
Hailey isn’t that bright in my opinions, was stubborn mainly for the sake of it and couldn’t be bothered to think past herself to save her live almost ....
Guys were nice enough but the whole story was basically shallow and superficial..... wrapped up way to easily w/out any work or effort on anyone’s part...
One moment Hailey almost dies in a fire 🔥, next she’s finally saying “I love you “ to them,next it’s a year later and no weddings or babies and a complexly HFN ending ...
Never again Ms. Crescent .... never again....

Quick read. A book about a woman who gets cheated on by her fiancé and maid of honor, then goes to drink away her sorrows and falls into bed with two hot firefighters. Six years later she has to move to a small town because her magazine is failing and guess who she runs into at the only bar in town, the two hottie firefighters.
What irks me about the book is Hailey is so certain she will never fall in love again that she commits herself to only casual hookups. However in the writing, she mentions “making love”, which I know is just an expression but to have both only wanting hookups and then calling said hookups “making love” in the same paragraph makes me blink a couple of times for clarity. It’s a bit jumbled from there.
Hailey goes on to say she doesn’t want relationships but then thinks about inviting them over for dinner and to spend more time with them—which she quickly corrects her thoughts and says absolutely not. And while she is having this inner turmoil, Sean and Nick are thinking about having a more serious relationship with this woman they had a three way with one time (the only one mind you) and after 6 years are still pining after her. But one had a cheating affair marriage upbringing model and the other one doesn’t really have a specific backstory to how he led to having this relationship not relationship.
And this might sound a bit cruel but you let one guy cheating on you causing you to swear of any relationships for the rest of your life? That doesn’t make any sense to me. I understand precautions but 6 years and you still won’t let yourself have any feelings? Strange.
Also talk of things being intimate but not allowed to have feelings???? I just get so confused with the wording throughout this book. I get there is only so many ways to write a steamy (fire pun ;)) but yet still have turmoil for some plot, but the back and forth of the no feeling/relationship/intimacy to then making love/spending time together and/or all nighters/finding the one after never being in love (Sean)/cuddling.
Turns out they have an arson problem in Goat and some of the women who previously had flings with Nick end up having food poisoning and/or having their barn burn down. Guess who is the arsonist? The crazy girl who wanted Nick. She even tried to crash into Hailey and set her on fire while in her place of work and her home. Lovely.
Ends in a happily ever after which is good and the nod towards how Hailey, Sean and Nick met was cute. However the ending came very quickly. And the whole getting into a throuple takes about 1.5 months and then bam I love yous/arson/moving in together and the HEA is set about a year after that.

The reader will be captivated by the chemistry between Hailey, Sean & Nick and by the storyline. Her Cocky Firefighters has twist and turns, romance, suspense, and humor. The reader will also experience blackmailing politicians, arsonists, and some scorching menage scenes.
Hailey was left heartbroken weeks before her wedding. She was drowning / wipe out her sorrows after learning that her maid of honor and fiance wanted to get married to each other. That night 6 years ago was when Hailey met and had a one night stand with two sexy strangers. Hailey is a writer, who works very hard to keep her magazine, Girl Power, going. After a few setbacks, Hailey decides to take a friends advice and move to Goat, Oregon. This town's motto is "Encouraged To Embrace Your Weird". Goat and the people will be a change and a surprise in more ways than one for this city girl, but Hailey is determined to do what has to be done to save her feminist magazine.
Sean and Nick are friends and firefighters. The men are surprised to see Hailey in Goat. They want to spend more time with Hailey and be with her. Sean and Nick know that she has been hurt in the pas. Since Hailey doesn't want to jeopardize her heart, the three decide to have a friends with benefits relationship / agreement. Will they be able to stay only friends with benefits? Will they be able to find love and a happily ever after?
Her Cocky Firefighters is another amazing read. I highly recommend this book to others. The reader will definitely be engrossed from the beginning until the end. If you want mystery, drama, fun, and steamy menage, then this is the book for you. Two bossy, cocky firefighters who how to handle their woman and treat her right is an extra bonus.

After a few setbacks, Hailey decides to take a friends advice and move to Goat, Oregon. This town's motto is "Encouraged To Embrace Your Weird". Goat and the people will be a change and a surprise in more ways than one for this city girl, but Hailey is determined to do what has to be done to save her feminist magazine.
Sean and Nick are friends and firefighters. The men are surprised to see Hailey in Goat. They want to spend more time with Hailey and be with her. Sean and Nick know that she has been hurt in the pas. Since Hailey doesn't want to jeopardize her heart, the three decide to have a friends with benefits relationship / agreement. Will they be able to stay only friends with benefits? Will they be able to find love and a happily ever after?
Her Cocky Firefighters is another amazing read. I highly recommend this book to others. The reader will definitely be engrossed from the beginning until the end. If you want mystery, drama, fun, and steamy menage, then this is the book for you. Two bossy, cocky firefighters who how to handle their woman and treat her right is an extra bonus.

So on what was to be her wedding day she headed to her favorite bar to get drunk but instead she met Sean and Nick who offered her one night of passion never to be seen again but definitely not forgotten.
Hailey runs a publication called Girl Power in Portland and over the last few years her subscribers/followers have been decreasing. She has taken pay cuts trying everything to keep it up and running and to top it off her landlord wants to increase her rent.Luckily her bestfriend Lana comes to the rescue and convinces her to move to Goat,Oregon and take over her job at the newspaper. With nothing to lose she agrees and sets off towards hopefully new beginnings and a chance to save her publication at the same time.

This is an okay read for me. I ended up speed reading this novella. I think if I was in a better head space, I would have enjoyed this novella even more so. 3 stars.

Stunned isn't an appropriate word for this situation. The men immediately begin flirting and Hailey can't resist, but there will be boundaries. We can have mind blowing sex once a week NSA, no feelings, understood? This is Goat, in Goat you Embrace your Weird! There's a mayoral race heating up, an arsonist on the loose, and one or more people may just be catching feelings. While you can read Her Cocky Firemen alone, reading Her Cocky Doctors will make it better!

Thank you, Tara Crescent for giving us another visit in the lovely small town of Goat, Oregon. It has an eclectic group of residents, some are downright quirky, creative names for their stores and their motto is that you are “Encouraged to embrace your weird”. :-) The characters were sexy, and lovable. I enjoyed reading this well written HOT story. It was funny, sexy, fast paced, great characters, mystery, suspense and fires in the Community. Yes! Warm, HOT fires in the bedroom and ones they had to subdue to save a business or take those lovely HOT, STEAMY bodies into a burning building to save someone! The chemistry between Nick, Sean and Hailey is electric! They fit well together but will they overcome their past misgivings about relationships and find a place together? This story has it all!! Tara Crescent continues to give her readers a wonderful story!

Welcome to the small town of Goat, Oregon. There are so many fun characters that live in this town and I love every second we get to spend with them. Who would have thought though that the hot as sin firefighters that Hailey had a one night stand with six years ago would be from her small hometown of Goat. Imagine her shock and surprise when she finds out. She has no desire to fall in love with either Sean or Nick, both of them for that matter. However, sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants. You just have to read to find out what happens but this book will keep you reading from beginning to the end quickly.
I loved every second of it. Nobody does meange books quiet like Tara Crescent.

La storia d'amore tra i tre si sviluppa lentamente dando spazio anche alla trama cittadina, ai giochi di potere quando le elezioni del nuovo sindaco sono alle porte e i misteri si infittiscono.
Una lettura decisamente scorrevole.

Dam I love a man in uniform - and Tara gives us two!!! Hailey is trying to get over her heartbreak, starting again in the quirky small town of Goat. Then who would step into her life - two hunky fire-fighters Nick and Sean who set her world alight once but can they convince her their smouldering flames can turn into a blaze of passion and love.
Tara once again spoils us with a passionate and heated romance with a bit of suspense and drama thrown in just to keep things moving. I love all I read by Tara and am never disappointed when she whisks me away with her tales of steamy hot men and their loves.

Bought this a while back because I actively wanted to support the writers threatened by the "cockygate" intellectual property grab. I remember liking the first in this duology, which was driven by a dare list that took the main protagonist out of her comfort zone, with some mistaken identity stuff as a plot thickener. This is set in the same town a year or so later (characters from the earlier book have walk-on roles in this one). I didn't like it as much. This is a re-kindle a memorable one-night stand set up, which is not a trope that resonates with me personally. The characters had some emotional growth, but I thought it was limited and too predictable.

Happy moves to Goat, OR to save her online feminist magazine. The last thing she expected was to find that the firefighters and had a one night stand with seven years ago live in Goat, and they want a relationship. Funny, sexy read with one reluctant feminist and two firefighters. This book has some danger and suspense, and I think that makes this an absolutely must read manage romance with a happily ever after. Fantastic book!

Welcome to Goat, Oregon where you are "Encouraged to embrace your weird". First thing first, I love this town. It is a little quirky, but it seems like a great place to be, as long as you do not have an arsonist running around town, as it is in this book. Then, there are Sean, Nick, and Hailey who are in for casual sex, no strings. Right? Tara Crescent takes all of the above and writes a wonderful story, that is also sizzling hot. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and this book deserves its five stars. I highly recommend it.

After finding out a week before their wedding that her fiancé was cheating, Hailey had a one-night stand with two sexy firefighters. Now she has moved to Goat and is shocked when she learns Sean and Nick live there as well. Sean and Nick are surprised at seeing Hailey again and don’t plan on letting her get away again. I loved this steamy ménage read! The characters are great, the sex is hot and the story is fun and entertaining. Plenty of suspense, mystery and emotion to keep you glued to your kindle. I great read!

What else would you expect from a town whose slogan is "Embrace Your Weird?" It means anything can happen, and weird is normal in the little gown of Goat. Hailey shared a one-night stand with Nick and Sean, but she wasn't looking for anything more than that. Six years later, she's moved to a new town, never thinking she'd see her hunky duo again. Nick and Sean are firefighters, and they sure know how to burn up the sheets with Hailey! With some twists and turns and some good suspense added into this quirky mix, this was an absolutely fun read!

A amazing story that is well written. I like the storyline and plot. It made me laugh a lot sometimes. But it has also got passion, drama, hot scenes, emotional ups and downs. The twists are unsuspected. Characters are well described and develops nicely. Great chemistry and hot scenes. A quick, hot, sexy and romantic read. I loved that it has an epilogue.
It is written in dual POV which gives the readers both thoughts and feelings of the main characters. A bit kink and a lot of chemistry!

Tara Crescent is new to me and I absolutely love her.
This book is about Hailey a sad lonely woman who's fiance cheated in her years ago with her best friend. While drowning her sorrows she meets 2 hot fireman Nick and Sean and they share a very memorable night together.
6 years later Hailey moves to a small town Goat and when she walks in the bar late she sees the 2 men who made her forget everything and left her with the best memory of her life and the kicker....she did the same for them.

Face paced quick read, the little town of GOAT is caught in its very own mystery.... who is setting all of the fires and why? At the same time there is a raging fire in the hearts of our leading characters as they rekindle an old passion and blaze the sheets!! A little play on words to share my excitement of this pretty hot novel. Lots of cliffhangers which I do not like but gives us something to look forward to.

I wanted to read this book since the #cockygate crap and especially after I read Cocky Doctors. I wanted to read Hailey’s book. Nick and Sean are firemen! I loved the thoughts from Hailey on firemen and their poles, etc. I am definitely looking into Ms Crescent’s books to see if there are more I want to read and I think there are.
