So I started this book and thought maybe I shouldn't read this so soon after Prove Me Right because I was seriously Hungover by this beautiful story, but I also had Faith that Anna would have me gripped and she did not do me wrong.
This book was sweet, less angsty but still had that electric intensity. You get so invested that you wanna know what happens with each character. They all deserve their HEA and they Damn sure get it.
This book is about Pierce and Ruby. These two come from completely different world's.
Where Pierce knows love and affection from his family and friends, Ruby is used as a Pawn by her's.
When these two meet its insta-love which is what makes this book different from the others in this series....
Pierce and Ruby meet two nights in a row and just from talking and being honest being real they know that this is the person they wanna spend the rest of their lives with. Unfortunately wicked family Members will never allow that so they are separated for 3 years.
Fast forward 3 years later Ruby finds Pierce and when their world's collide again the Fire is reignited. He knows she is hiding alot and I loved watching how slowly but surely he got to the bottom of what was happening. He was always there to help, show her love and attention , he was willing to move mountains for her, and as much as Ruby tried to fight it she knew his love would win.
There are some moments where you will be shocked out of ur pants and there are moments you are gonna say "WTF" But in a good way.
I love how Hot and Alpha but at same time soft and sweet our big guy is. I love how he loves his family and wants to share that all with Ruby....
As always Smiles all round when we meet the older characters that we have come to love and adore...
Can't wait for the next Book because alot more questions will be answered and hearts will definitely be healed.

BEST SERIES EVER!!! I NEVER WANT/ED IT TO END!
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been very rare that I have been able to read a book in one day, but I was captivated by these characters instantaneously.
Let me just start off by saying that I have already set an alarm in my phone to remind me to be on the look out for the next book in this series! I absolutely LOVE these novels and the romantic atmosphere that they bring without becoming crude and overbearing. So many times, now-a-days, there are individuals out there quick to write a fast story with too much lust and not enough romance; however, you never have to worry about that when it comes to the It's Kind of Personal series!
Kick back in your chair, dim the lights, make yourself something to drink along with a snack while you join the story of a young woman discovering that maybe love is within her grasp after all. Everyone gives up too easily on relationships but no one ever looks deeper to see why they might have broken in the first place, after 17 years and more guilt placed upon their own shoulders than that of anyone else could ever place upon them; two individuals find out that forgiveness might just can heal the wounds that cannot be brought back from, if only they will allow it. Come and read about a self-reliant young lady finding that not all men are the same, and a young man find out that some women actually do things with their man's best interest in mind! There are some men out there who are just wanting to love and protect their woman and not take advantage of them; there are some women out there who do not want to leave their man when everything they could get from them is gone.

Another great story by Anna Brook, I am loving her “It’s Kind of Personal” Series. This is Pierce and Ruby’s story and it is as heartfelt and engrossing as the earlier books in the series. It can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone, characters from the other books do appear in this story but you never feel lost or like you're missing anything because you have not read other books in the series. Pierce meets Ruby while vacationing in Vegas, he only sees her twice and even though never got her name he knew she was it for him. Unfortunately she disappears, he did search for her but never found her. Fast Forward three years, she relocates to be near him, hoping to pick up where they left off. She brings baggage with her, demons from her life in Vegas finds her too. Pierce, an over protective alpha male looks out for her. She gains another alpha male in her corner too. I enjoyed this story, there were some surprises and twists, plenty of drama, a bit of suspense and a wonderful build up to a great romance.
I listened to the Audible edition, Nelson Hobbs and Neva Navarre are terrific narrators and voice performers. They bring the characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for another great listen🎧

Am still loving this series! This book is about Pierce, the brother and cousin we've been hearing about in the previous three books, and Ruby, daughter of a prominent Vegas man and due to her upbringing young/inexperienced for her age. They meet on a rooftop in Vegas years ago but her life is being planned for her so she leaves him high and dry. Three years later she ends up in Wisconsin almost stocking Pierce until car trouble brings them together. I'm really enjoying this authors writing style and her books are maintaining my expectations. Great storyline, easy writing, angst, dialogue, character interaction is great including supporting in previous characters, and steam. I am was feel like this couple could easily use a sequel. I'm interested to hear more about their developing relationship and the author lays out a great erotica story line for them in this book that would be fun!

Another great story from Anna. Imagine meeting the one, knowing in an instant that this person completes you-every part of tour life that feels like something is missing, is incomplete all of a sudden makes sense. There’s nothing you wouldn’t do to keep this person safe, to love them completely. Then in a blink, they’re gone and you have no way of finding them. Three years pass and while your eyes haven’t looked upon their face, your heart and mind are still completely wrapped up. Then, you see them. Life makes sense once again.
This story has heartache as well as happiness with a dash of suspense. The characters, as with the other books, have heaviness to deal with, the pain they must trudge through to reach happiness. Beautiful story.

Pierce and Ruby met on a rooftop at the hotel Pierce was staying at in Vegas. They only has two nights together before Pierce had to leave. He tried to find her before he left but didn’t have any luck.
Ruby’s father was the owner of the hotel and made Ruby’s life a living hell. She was told she had to marry someone she had no feelings for. After three years she was able to get away. She went to where Pierce was living and finally was with the one she was meant to be with.
Liked the story but the ending seemed rushed and that made the story feel like it was incompletê

Big brother brooding Pierce! What a grouch! But you can't help but love him. He was always protecting everyone and Im happy that he got his own book, even thought his HEA toke a little while it was nice to see that his love for Ruby was meant to go the distance. It was nice to see a inadequate parent that doesn't care about the future of their child. and of course Pierce being a protector he would do everything in his power to protect her to the end.

I liked it, but the characters didn't draw me in like the previous books - I just didn't "feel" their love. I was more interested in what was happening with other characters and can't wait for Nik and Declan's books.

Completely head over heels for Pierce in this love at first sight novel. Pierce and Ruby have instant chemistry when they first met in Las Vegas. Circumstances being what they are, three years and lots of angst and longing later, the two meet up again and oh my God...talk about HOT! These two are combustible together. I think what I really love about this series is the real life topics that Anna brings into them. Ruby's mother, with her depression caused dementia is something that many people have to deal with, but don't like to talk about. It is so draining on a family, and Anna portrays this perfectly within the story. I also love the way the other characters from the previous books of the series are all intertwined in the book. It makes you feel as if you are part of this extended family.
The narration of Neva Navarre and Nelson Hobbs continues to be the perfect combination. Can't wait for book 5!

If you are after an insta-love book, then this one is for you!! Pierce and Ruby's story had a ton of FEELS, emotions and chemistry! I loved Pierce - he was insanely loyal, patient, protective, possessive (of course!!), and as with all of Anna Brooke's heroes, he swoops in and rescues Ruby!! I also enjoyed seeing the reappearance of all the other characters I have come to know in this awesome series!! I feel like I am part of this close, knit family!!! I can't wait for the next books on audio because Neva and Nelson are an amazing combination!!

Tell Me When was a quick and easy read for me. It definitely is an insta-love type of story. Usually I’m not the biggest fan of those types of stories. However, I think it worked really well in this instance. There was just something about Pierce and Ruby.Their chemistry was so scorching. The pages just melted with the sexiness that oozed between these two. Even thought they only knew each other for a short amount of time, you couldn’t help but find yourself rooting for the two of them and hoping that they would find their HEA. I love, love, loved Pierce. He was everything that Ruby never knew she needed. He was fierce and determined. He was sexy and dominate. He was a 100%, dirty mouthed alpha male and I could not get enough of him. I loved how possessive he was of Ruby and how sure he was of his feelings for her. And Ruby…She was pretty great too. I loved seeing her fight for Pierce. She loved him with everything that she had and wouldn’t let time come between them. I loved watching her battle her heart and mind and seeing her realize just how right Pierce was for her.
Overall, I really enjoyed Tell Me When. This book was very entertaining and held my interest the entire time. I enjoyed the characters and loved watching Ruby and Pierce fall. Even though Ruby and Pierce were separated for three years, their love proved to be stronger than ever and I honestly enjoyed watching the two of them fight for their HEA. This is my first book by Anna Brooks and I gotta tell you, I can not wait to go back and read the first three books in this series. This is definitely an author I am keeping my eyes on!

Ruby is the Vegas princess, meaning her father own a casino in Vegas and is very wealthy. She’s also very much like a modern day Rapunzel, minus the extremely blond hair and evil mother who wants her because of her hair. But instead put in a controlling father, who wants her to do whatever he says and a horrible body guard. Wanting more than anything to escape the life that is set out to her, what is Ruby to do when she meets Pierce and wants to be with him. As much as she tries to run away from her horrible life style she always gets caught. Three years later and she finally free but at a cost, the first things she does is look for Pierce in hope that they can be together. But as much as she wants to be with Pierce she doesn’t want to cause him problems, and knows that he deserves better than her. But Pierce wants to be with her, and sees a future for them. Will Pierce be able to get his princess to trust him enough to be with him. Or Will Ruby let go of the best thing that ever happen to her, because she thinks he deserve better.

The way that she finally understands what her mother has been going through and is still willing to help her mother. I love Pierce, he’s strong, protective, and manly, and such a joy to read. I cannot wait to find out more about Nik and Lisa, their story seems like one that will be exciting to read about.

Tell Me When is the fourth book in the ‘It’s Kind of Personal’ series by Anna Brooks. It can be read as a stand-alone but I personally recommend reading the books in order.
So here we are – book 4 – and I still can’t get enough of these characters! I’m pretty sure the author has created the best characters ever. As with the previous books we see the foundations of this story entwined into the end of Prove Me Right (book 3). I was looking forward to this story because I found Pierce to be a more evasive character than the others so I was very interested to read his story and find out more about him.
Tell Me When is Pierce and Ruby’s story. It begins 3 years ago when Pierce and Ruby meet in Las Vegas on the roof of a hotel. Their connection is instant. Pierce was on the roof just looking to clear his mind whilst Ruby was trying to escape her own personal hell in the only quiet place she knows. They both take to the roof where they unexpectedly find each other. Sadly it can’t last when Ruby is forced to leave Pierce without any explanation. Finally 3 years later they find each other again where they realise that their lives are entwined deeper than just love.
I feel bad saying this because Anna is now one of my go to authors but I have to admit this was my least favourite book out of the series so far but that does not mean that I didn’t love it because I did. As with all the other book sin the series I was hooked straight away and couldn’t put it down. There were some good twists and turns and a fair amount of action. One thing I do love with these books is how each one deals with a different situation, we have had abuse, drug addiction and this one touches on mental health and each time they are written really well and dealt with sensitively.
I think we definitely see a different side to Pierce in this book – he’s fierce, determined and boy does he like to dominate!! As always the author knows how to create chemistry between her characters and the chemistry between Pierce and Ruby was off the charts but it was still nice to see them take things slowly until Ruby was ready!
I know I’m certainly ready for the next book now!

This book was one of my favorites. Pierce and Ruby's love story hooked me from the beginning and I was pulling for them the whole time. I hated for their story to come to and end, but now I can't wait to jump right in and see what Anna has waiting for me in REMEMBER ME NOW!!

Once again Anna Brooks delivers a phenomenal read and leaves you wanting more with Ruby and Pierce as well as the continued stories from past characters. This book has love, patience, passion, determination, secrets, drama, did I mention passion...
So many people escape to Vegas to get away from their lives. At eighteen Ruby wants nothing more than to escape the path her father has set out for her to live. Her father controls her life, including her living in the Vegas casino he owns. Her mother doesn't help her get from under her fathers thumb. Ruby is a fighter and is determined to get out of her circumstances.
When Pierce finds himself needing time away from his busy life he ends up in Vegas with some buddies. He decides he isn't into this kind of lifestyle. He wants to fall in love and have his own family. He finds himself escaping to a quiet rooftop. Little did he know that decision would change his life.
Ruby had snuck up to the roof to escape as well and that is where she first meets Pierce. She is immediately drawn to him and his kindness. Pierce also feels the instant attraction and is shocked at how strong his connection and longing for Ruby is. After two nights of incredible meetings on the rooftop and the incredible attraction, Pierce can't believe he has to go back to his life and leave her. She disappeared before he could get her name. Ruby was shown a life she always dreamed of, but knows she will never have, because of the arrangement her father made for her.
Three years passes and Pierce hasn't forgotten about Ruby. Throughout the years he tried tracking her down without success. Ruby knows she will never have the life she dreams it could be if she really could be with Pierce. She tracks him down and watches him from a distance.
Ruby and Pierce finally reunite, but so much has happened since she has seen him. Will it be all that they dreamed of if they ever saw each other again. Pierce knows she has secrets, but is determined to get to the bottom of it and never let her leave him again. He wants his Ruby back. She fights him and his love, but even as she does she knows she will lose the battle.

But their time together was cut short and Pierce had only a blanket as evidence of her existence. He looked for her, but he didn't even know her name.

Pierce is a successful businessman, who decides to take a trip to Vegas for a weekend away with his buddies.
