If you are picking up the audiobook be ready to fast forward the status bullcrap updates, hey' once is ok and updating new stuff is ok'ish but reiterating everything that haven't changed is dumb, is like when you buy something new but rather than just say now I have this and this' you start enumerating everything else in your home before getting to the new stuff, not a problem if you get the book just skip a page but 4 minutes of audio are painful. *I do recommend it for fans of Rts/Rpg games and the short stories center on the people of the world are REALLY nice' there is an improvement from the 1rst book you get to see what happens with one of the mayor characters after she pass on at the end of the war.
Wanting a continuation of World Keeper, I wasn't disappointed by the follow up of the first book. It's a bit like Kingdom building with Litrpg, but from what is happening with the creation of another universe I ask myself how the author is going to develop the new world he created with new race. I can't wait to see another good Arc underway!
I was worried after reading the last book that this one was just going to get more and more clustered and confusing. And I am glad to say I was terribly wrong. This book is an amazingly detailed story that can seem to have 20 stories going at once but also be able to keep them all straight. I await the next book in this series with excitement.
This is the follow up to Justin Miller's first book, World Keeper: Birth of a World. I found it interesting enough, and I am enjoying the flow. If you enjoyed the first book, you are sure to like this one as well.
My major qualms were that the book felt at once sort of rushed and full of less interesting bits. I'd like to have seen some parts of the story sped up and others slowed down, and overall the book felt like it wrapped up an awful lot quicker than the first.
I'm game for the next installment, my hope is that it stays on track and the author focuses successfully on both the macro and the micro. There seems to be a lot of opportunity for the series and for fans of LitRPG, and real-time strategy, you are sure to find it an interesting addition to the genre.
