I did not like heroine. Supposedly she ran away from the dangerous life in the club to get involved with another motoclube and stay in the DEA's sights. After all, she was not very clever in her choices and did not even think about her daughter.

Heroine TSTL!

"Sure, I’d been with other women. I wasn’t gonna deprive myself of the soft curves a woman’s body had to offer. But no one compared to her."

"“I’m staying behind on this one, too.” “Yeah, ‘cause you got the clap on the last one,” Fox said as he snickered. “Thanks for that reminder, dick,” I said. “Oh, you’re never living that one down. Not a fucking chance,” Snake said, chuckling. “Fuck you all,” I said."

This is book one in the Road Rebels MC series. A good second chance romance featuring Sydney and Hawk. They were an item but she ran away the night that her father and Hawks were killed. She wanted nothing more to do with that life. She shows up on his doorstep six years later and introduces him to his daughter. She seemed selfish and cruel when she left several days later, talking his daughter with her. Lots of drama and suspense as she claims the DEA is after her. No spoiler here but I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

Ok

...Spoiler....I hated her starting in Chapter 10. First she runs away and hangs out with another MC. Then she comes back with a kid and trouble on her heal. She bring the trouble with her then when he confronts her about it she takes his kid AGAIN and run. I HATE HER.

Six years ago there was a massacre.
It was discovered that the treasurer of Road Rebels was f *** The Devil Saints Prez' wife. There was a confrontation and many deaths.
Who cause of it all died in his daughter arms, Sydney.
Hawk's father, Joe the VP, also died.

Desperate, Sydney leaves Nevada, leaving Hawk heartbroken.
She turned her back on the MC family.

Now she appears at his door with two problems:
First, she had a daughter, Emery. Then she had no place to live, she was outlawed for engaging with another MC, the Iron Souls, and the DEA was after her to get information on that club's illegal actions.

In addition to denying Hawk the opportunity to have seen his daughter from birth, Syd appears at his door at the worst moment, when the Rebels were all set for a huge shipment of drugs.

I always like MC themed books. Reading about those tattooed men who are not afraid of a good fight (in bed or outside) is always a pleasure.
But Sydney was too much annoying, crying all the time

The best part of the book is the plan made by Talon tThe road captain and enforcer)

🅼🆈 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆:

This one starts off and takes into directly into a Depp dive in Hawk and Syd's story that was left incomplete.

Syd runs away after a very tragic incident destroys everything. She needed feeling of safety and she's just so hurt that she needs a fresh start.

But Hwak never forgot about her and now even after years, he still misses her as she's the one for him.

The shocker of his life comes when he sees his Syd after so many years but not only she's in some serious problem but also someone with her that shocks him.

Ahhh.. Hawk and Syd and little Emery will absolutely melt your hearts.
As Hawk and Syd try to get out of the situation that keeps on getting more dangerous and bad everyday, they also start coming together and feeling that what the same emotions and feeling they felt still exists.

Little Emery just made me smile much and also I loved how she softened a man like Hawk.
I loved how that strong man became such a softie and acted all scared where his sweet little daughter was concerned.

This one was jam packed with Action and kept me on my toes thinking how would they ever get out of this tricky mess that just kept on getting all the more tangled everyday.

All the heart touching vibes and the intimate scenes between hawk and Syd were not only sizzling but also made me feel the depth of their bond as Hawk loves Syd with with her stretch marks and thick thighs, I loved how the author showed the realness of their love making and also their acceptance of each other when you truly love someone.

Also, that ending though, yep need to dive into Talan asap to find out what happens next. Loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Breathlessly

Apparently Sydney lives her life breathlessly, every time she speaks its breathlessly. She' "breathlessly" throughout the whole book.
PROOFREADER, you need to hire a new one. Way too many grammatical errors, time lines that don't make sense. Words where they don't belong, words missing that makes the story hard to follow at times.
I read the first paragraph of Talon, w/in the first few sentences, grammatical errors.

I have read this author before and liked her storylines but complained about not wrapping up loose ends. That is not the case for "Hawk" , Rylan did an excellent job weaving this story together. Was it perfect?? Who doesn't have flaws. I found it very entertaining.

This is the first is a new series by Savannah Rylan about the Road Rebels MC. Our two main characters in this book are Hawk [alpha male though and through, passionate, loyal, caring and loving but ready to fight for what he considers is right] and Sydney his girlfriend. When their fathers are killed one night she goes on the run and he doesn't see or hear from her for six years when she presents herself and his 6 year old daughter, Emery, whom he didn't even know existed. Whilst Hawk is flabbergasted to meet Emery he is also delighted in his little girl. They are only there a few days when Sydney pulls another runner and takes Emery away from him. There is so much going on and with the way Sydney just keeps upping and fleeing you wonder how she and Hawk will ever get their HEA. But there is so much between them and the passion has not abated whilst she was away. Hawk has issues as Sydney ran away from their life in the RR MC but went to another one? There is so much going on and with her being chased by the DEA, I think she really needed to tell Hawk all that's been going on. I liked Hawk's character as he was steadfast and loyal to a fault and he's a man that I would want on my side. I also liked the other side we saw of him with Emery and with Sydney. Now Sydney I found very difficult to like. She seemed to do a flit whenever things got tough and whilst it was obvious that she loved their daughter and Hawk very much [especially with all that sizzling passion between them], I don't really know if I would trust her. What was going on all those years away? She had supposedly escaped form one MC to go right to another? What was she doing being involved in that other MC? Why didn't she at least let Hawk know that they had a daughter and it wasn't fair to anyone keeping their daughter a secret. I'm pleased that Savannah added an epilogue but noted that their daughter hadn't ages in it. Overall, I loved the writing style, the main storyline, Hawk and his daughter, but just had some issues with Sydney. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and hope to "see" how this family of three are getting along in their HEA. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

Nice start to a new MC series

Hawk is the first book in the new Road Rebels MC series. After a horrific gun battle with The Devil Saints, a rival MC, that ends in massive bloodshed, the Road Rebels MC family is devastated over the loss. Both Hawk and Sydney lose their fathers in the shootout. Left heartbroken and crushed over the death of the only parent who raised her, Sydney spends a final night with Hawk and leaves without word the next morning. Hawk hasn’t forgotten about Sydney and the fact she’s taken his heart with her.

Fast forward six years later, Sydney shows up at Hawk’s house with a surprise, their daughter Emery. Sydney isn’t forthright with Hawk about the reason she’s come back, but clearly she is on the run from the fallout that happened to another bike gang in California, and looking for protection from Hawk. Still, trouble follows Sydney to Hawk’s doorstep, and it has the potential to ruin the Road Rebels and the only family Hawk has known. Can Hawk forgive Sydney for abandoning him and the MC family? Can he forgive her for betraying him about the knowledge of his daughter?

Hawk is another steamy MC romance that deals with second chances, regret, and hope for family. It has potential to be a good series. There is an inconsistency about Hawk’s mom at the beginning of the story that mentions she died giving birth to Hawk, but then towards the end she’s actually alive in Ferndale. And the word “giggle” was a bit overused. For Sydney being raised in the MC family, I thought she would have been tougher, or more resilient. She really wanted a normal life for her and Emery, yet made some bad choices to stay away from that lifestyle back in California. I liked Hawk, but Sydney, not so much. Lots of steamy scenes. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I just love MC books.

I can not imagine Hawk was felling. Here he is long for the woman that left him heartbroken. At at time they should of comforted each other and now here she is at his door with his kid. He had to feel so much anger, hurt, and betrayal. Reading this story we get to see what kind of man Hawk truly is. I know I feel in love with his character over and over again.

Sydney I can understand her fear, hurt, confusion, and felling she was being torn over and over again. I understand why she left. I did not understand why she keep the fact that her and Hawk had a child together. No matter what excuses I read I felt it was no excuse to not Hawk know.

My heart broke for Hawk. It broke for the fact of not watching his child grown in her belly, not being there for the birth, and all the years and special moments he missed.

I can only imagine the fear Sydney must of been feeling knowing her and her daughter were in danger. To have to be on the run and have only one person she could turn to.

I love the protectiveness that Hawk had for Sydney and his daughter. I love the fact we got to see the brotherhood of the MC in this story. We got to see the great depths they would go thru to keep there own safe.

This was a great story and glad I got a chance to read it.

Let me first say, I did not finish this book and it could have gotten better as it went, but I am not thinking that is the case. When it started out, I was immediately hooked, how the fight went down, how she left and how he was trying to pick up the pieces years later.

Flash forward to her showing up with their kid (not a big shocker since they hooked up before she left) and says they have nowhere to go, she had nothing. Then a few pages later she has all of this money from working that she can go to California and buy her and her daughter a small house. HUH? She has to show up on his doorstep because she has no where to go, but she has the money to be able to buy a small house...in cash??

She left the MC life because it was dangerous and she wanted to preserve the innocence of her baby, but yet in Utah, she hooks up with another MC? HUH??

Then, all of the giggling, he asked a question, she giggled. He told a story, she giggled. He made a statement, she giggled. WAY...TOO...MUCH...GIGGLING.

Sorry, this author just isn't for me, I don't see her or any more of this series in my future.

This entire series should have received 5 stars, but in all honesty, I justcouldn't do it. The storylines were good, the characters had depth and substance, but they all ended so abruptly and so lame that I was so disappointed.

The entire series needs some very serious editing! There are so many typos, words missing or added that you waste a lot of time rereading to make sure you got the sentence right! This certainly should have been done before release. Worse, it is not just one of the books, it is ALL of them! I am surprised as I really like this author too!

Hawk and Syd's story was a good one - a second chance at love with a 6 year old daughter thrown in. But Syd coming back into The Road Rebel fold means trouble for the MC and danger for her as a rival club wants to kill The Road Rebels, and the DEA wants to arrest both rival MC's. Had so very much potential, and just fell so flat at the end!

This is book one in the Road Rebels MC series. A good second chance romance featuring Sydney and Hawk.

Hawk, in the Sergeant at Arms in the Road Rebels MC club. His father was in the VP club when he was growing up.

Sydney, grew up in the MC Club also, as her father was the treasurer. Sydney ran when her father & Hawk's father were killed in a war one night. Sydney suffers from PTSD causing her major stress. Sydney shows up on Hawk's door step one night with a 6 yr old child, Emery, who has the same color eyes as Hawk. Sydney kept her from him for the past 6 yrs. She seemed selfish and cruel when she left several days later, talking his daughter with her. She says DEA agents are chasing her, from her involvement with another MC club.

Through a few twists and turns Hawk & the clubhouse get the DEA Agents off their backs.

I wasn't happy with Sydney. She seems very whiny and needy.

The story totally lost me.

Sydney and Hawk grew up together in the MC lifestyle and were dating and in love, But when a rival gang attacks and both of their fathers are killed in the dispute, Sydney leaves the MC life behind. Hawk on the other hand stays, thinking that’s the way he can honor his father’s memory,

Years later, Hawk can’t seem to forget Sydney no matter how many times he has tried with lots of other women as the book is clear is point out several times. But that all changes when Sydney pops up in his doorway one day stating the Feds are after her and that she needs help - plus with a daughter in tow.

Hawk asks and is quickly told that the child is truly his. while Hawk tried to wrap his head around this, I had checked out of the story.

Sydney left to escape the MC life so if she felt in danger why would she return to it? I didn’t even want to keep on reading to find out why.

This is the first book to a series by an author that I haven't read before. I really liked it and the story I will defiantly read more books by her. Books about how the hero is just finding he has a son or a daughter is one of my favorite to read because it usually has a good plot to it. This book was no different I felt like this had a good plot to it as well. I liked Hawk I thought that he was the better of the two because he was totally devoted to making sure that Sidney and Emery were safe and that they were protected from the DEA. I had issues with Sidney how she left him when she got scared after he had started building a relationship with his daughter I thought that is not right and she should not have done that. Another of my favorite parts was everyone else the way the all interacted with each other was funny and provided a little humor I think in the story.

I just love a good MC Romance and Hawk does not disappoint. Hawk and Sydney's lives changed in an instance the night the Devil Saints rained down bullets at an event taking out not only Hawk's father but hers as well. Totally distraught Sydney left town unable to handle the fall out. It's six years later and Sydney has returned with a surprise for Hawk in the form of a daughter. But that's not everything. All though Sydney left the MC life of her father's she could not escape the life all together and it looks like the innocent time that she spent with the club has incurred some bagged that she did not anticipate. When all else fails she heads back home to Hawk. The question is will Hawk be able to solve her problems or better yet did she bring a hornets nest back to sting the one family that has always had her back?

What a great first story for this MC Series by Savannah! Both Sydney and Hawk have grown up together as their dads were in the same MC. Unfortunately one day an unbelievable tradgey occurs and it ends up bringing Sydney and Hawk together. This trauma was just too much for Sydney and she runs away without a word. Hawk was left behind without any warning. Sydney has not made very good decisions and six years later she shows up on Hawk’s doorstep with a little girl, his! Since Sydney is running from some bad decisions she needs Hawks help and protection. Will Hawk get over the fact that Sydney has keep this secret for so long and can he go against his brothers to protect them? I can not wait for the next story in this series. Great!

I chose this rating because this was a really good book. The characters were really great. I just really didn't like the way that the book started off by some of the MC motorcycle warriors getting killed by another MC gang. Like Hawk's dad, Sydney's dad and a lot more of the old members. I also didn't like the way Sydney just got open ran and left, everyone was grieving, and t
ended up having to return because she saw some stuff she shouldn't have. She also had a child her name was Emery. Hawk realized she was his child. As you know he helped her out and they ended up getting back together. They were a happy little family. Now I'm fixing to see what's gonna happen in the next book. Great read, I recommend this book to all romance and MC readers.

6 years ago Sydney ran from the MC, where she was raised, after watching her father die in a gunfight. Hawk and Sydney grew up together, after all, their father's were best friends in the MC. Then they became more and Hawk was thinking of forever with Sydney..until she left without a word the morning after their fathers were killed. Now Sydney is back and needs help hiding from the DEA, who is investigating an MC that she has been riding with...she also has a daughter, and Hawk is the father. Can Hawk forgive Sydney for running and keeping his daughter from him? Will he help her? Will the MC forgive Sydney?
The story is fast paced, with lots of drama, and there is an HEA...but we get a hint that there's more to come in the next book.

Hawk is the Sargeant at Arms in the Road Rebels MC and it is the only life he has ever known as his father was a member as well.

Sydney’s father was also a member of the MC and she and Hawk was her boyfriend until the night that both their fathers were killed and she wanted out of the life and left with no warning or further contact.

Six years later she is knocking on Hawk’s door and their daughter Emery isn’t the only surprise she reveals. After she left Hawk she became involved with another MC and now the DEA is after her. Will Hawk protect her and his daughter and if he does will it bring down the MC in the process?

This is the beginning of a new MC series which has some suspense, a few twists and whole lot of heat.

Hawk by Savannah Rylan a fiery five-star read. This is the first book in the Road Rebels MC series, I can’t wait for the next book. I adore Savannah Rylans writing she writes MC with a great passion that brings the genre alive, when I read the blurb it reminded me of another book an I was a little mmm don’t know if this is going to be a bit similar but it’s totally different and fresh. Hawk and Sydney have faced hard times, and the story seems like it can’t get rougher for them, this pair had me hooked from start to finish. They were great together. Will they get the happily ever after that they deserve? Well done Savannah on a great read.

Sydney and Hawk grew up together, raised by their fathers who were members of a MC. When a day of fun turns to tragedy, Sydney and Hawk turn to each other for comfort. Sydney can't get past the trauma from that day and flees, leaving Hawk behind with no warning.......Six years later he gets a knock at his door and is shocked to see Sydney standing there and she's not alone. Sydney needs protection, and has doesn't know where else to turn. Can Hawk forgive Sydney for taking off and the secret she has kept hidden?

This was a really good book. Loved the characters and how well the story holds your interest.

Hawk (The Road Rebels MC Book 1) by Savannah Rylan is a good read. Well written book that focuses on the second chance at love for Hawk and Sydney. These are complex characters involved in a complex storyline. Gritty, emotional and raw. I enjoyed the book but can't say I really cared for the character of Sydney. To me she came across as short-sighted, somewhat cruel and couldn't seem to make a good decision to save her (or her daughters) life. I did like Hawk though and just felt he deserved so much better. A good read though and I am really looking forward to future books in this new series. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Well written book with great storyline and plot. A bit different than the usual of the second chance books. Here the H is the one who is left behind and he wants to fight for his h. Sydney and Hawk has grown up together but one day their fathers are killed.
Lots of chemistry and hot scenes. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter. I like it is written in dual POV. That gives a lot more to the story. The author has delivered a story that is worth the read!

Second chance

Needed some editing, there were extra words that didn’t work, lots of comparison descriptions and details. It’s soft gritty of a biker romance.

Sydney and Hawk grow up together, Hawk was the son of the V.P. And Sydney’s father was the treasurer, they both lost their fathers at 20 on the same day and time, the cause of the PTSD that Sydney suffers from 6 years later. She ran but didn’t know she carried a piece of Hawk with her. Now 6 years later Sydney is back looking for a place to hide for now that she’s one the run from the DEA and/or the Iron Skulls. Hawk is the only man for her but after 6 years will he still have the love for her that he had?

Awesome story! After the night that Sydney and Hawk's fathers were killed in a massacre, Sydney ran off, not wanting to be reminded of what she had lost. Six years later, after losing her mother to cancer and the DEA is on her trail, she runs to the only person that she can trust, Hawk. Hawk has never forgotten her and when she shows up on his doorstep with his daughter, he doesn't question her, but invites her back into his life. When they realize that she has been followed, he vows to protect them. The chemistry is great between these two and when you add in the protectiveness of the MC club of its family, this is an attention grabber and a great read!
