About the author

Toni Blake's love of writing began when she won an essay contest in the fifth grade. Soon after, she penned her first novel, nineteen notebook-pages long, and announced to her mother over breakfast one day that she was going to be a writer when she grew up. Since then, Toni has become the author of more than a dozen contemporary romance novels. Her work has been excerpted in Cosmo, she's been a recipient of the Kentucky Women Writers Fellowship and a nominee for the prestigious Pushcart Prize, and she's also had more than forty short stories and articles published. Toni lives in the Midwest and enjoys traveling, genealogy, crafts, and snow skiing.

Toni has also written under the name Toni Blair.

Absolutely loved this book. Shelby is a strong woman and can be stubborn. Jace wants to be her shinning knight. This story is hot, steamy and shows such sweetness. I couldn't put the book down. The story drew me in like I was there watching it unfold. I highly recommend reading this book.

“Mistletoe” by Toni Blake is endearingly sweet and intensely sexy.

Shelby Scott ran from Chicago to Sassafras South Carolina to begin a new life where she feels safe and can be independent. She wants to live simply and free in the cottage her mother grew up in.
After wrecking her car, she meets Jason – Jace – Rose, local nursery owner and is surprised at her instant attraction to him. Which is something she doesn’t need after her experience in Chicago.
Jace also feels the attraction and wants to help Shelby get back on her feet. He’s a good guy, though considered a ladies’ man, but believes Shelby is different than all the others. If only he can show her and get her to trust him.

Though Jace is a bit arrogant and Shelby a bit stubborn (for a very good reason), the two find themselves getting into the Christmas spirit and giving in to their primal desires. And the reason this story is both sweet and sexy.

“Mistletoe” is book two of The Rose Brothers series (“Brushstrokes” is book one and Rick’s story) and is signature Toni Blake with sweet and sexy story elements we have come to love and enjoy.

I really enjoyed this story. Shelby and Jace were such well written characters. Shelby is seeking refuge and a new start in her mom's childhood home. She doesn't have much to her name but she is determined to be self sufficient and not rely on anyone else....especially a man. The moment she meets Jace, little does she know the involvement he will have in her life. Jace doesn't know what to make of Shelby and that intrigues him. He is the type of guy who gives people a helping hand. Definitely not what Shelby is looking for in her life. So Is he her knight in shining armor or a thorn in her side?

The second book in the Sassafras SC/ Rose brothers series.
This book is all about Jace the middle brother.
He just took over the family nursery. Which was quite a leap from his truck driving days. A guy with a heart of gold who can’t but help the lady stranded on the side of the road.
This was a fun romantic book. There’s a few hot romance scenes. But overall this book is about 2 people who are embracing the changes in their lives and helping one another cope while falling head over heals in love with one another.
This is a feel good holiday story, I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

This was a great book to get anyone in the mood for Christmas. I loved reading the story of Shelby, a woman trying to gain her independence, and Jace, a man who just can't seem to stop all of the unwanted help that he gives Shelby. It brings them together and apart, but then together again when it matters most.

Jace for Christmas

This was the third book of the Rose Brothers. Shelby was running as far away as she could get. Almost there she blows a tire and ends up kissing a tree. Jace happens by and gives her a ride to her uncle's cabin. This is a sweet love story of new beginnings, finding yourself, and knowing when to accept the help you need.

I always love Toni Blake’s books & this one fit the bill. Shelby started out with such a miserable past & worked her way up to a Cinderella future, with a boot up from Jason. Great Holiday read, even after Christmas, short story read.

This was a quick read, fun and sexy. I read it out of order, but it was a Christmas book at Christmas. I'm looking forward to reading the other 2 books in the series.
