Another good one in this series. This time Ashley and Sean were on vacation and found themselves in a murder case. The history of the Native American tribes and rituals added to the story. Danger had Ashley struggling on her own for a bit and worried about Sean and his disappearance. Receiving support from the tribe made it possible for a happy ending, capture of the murderers, and reunion of Sean and Ashley.
The narration by Meghan McConnell was wonderful. She kept enthusiasm and emotion in the story, allowing me to sense the feelings of the characters. I enjoyed it.
In this addition to the series Ashley and her fiancé, Sean, are enjoying what is supposed to be a relaxing vacation in the southwest desert area. Unfortunately, they are victims of one thing after another, culminating in a murder. Ashley and Sean feel pulled to get involved.
I enjoyed hearing about their vacation activities and also about the food they ate. The mystery was interesting as well as the cultural aspects discussed. There was also some suspense in this one which added some tension to the story. The narrator also did a good job keeping me engaged in the story.
Easy to see why this author books in readers with her charming, warm hearted adventure stories. This one has an atmospheric setting in the beautiful South West US, which inspires great food ideas alongside the dark and deadly plot. The writer's love, respect and appreciation of both the natural world and the ancient native culture of the land sings out. You'll be hungry every time you read this.

Absolutely fantastic. Ashley just wants some quiet time with her Fiancé , unfortunately it’s not to be. A murder happens and they have to solve it as quickly as possible if they can Full of suspense and questions. Made extra enjoyable as an audible.
