DNA and neuronet-enhanced humanoids, able to morph rapidly to accommodate to new worlds, spread technological innovation wherever they go. The Singularity Wave thus sweeps through galaxy after galaxy. Nothing can stop it. Nothing can even slow it for long.

It was just inevitable then that it would start to close in on alien civilizations, one after the other. Those civilizations have little choice but to be assimilated by the Singularity Wave that has caught everyone up in it.

The Daytona commune of biohackers, located somewhere in backwoods Oregon, once again picks up the torch to champion the little guy. But their concerns go beyond protecting the rights of newly assimilated alien civilizations.

They ask themselves, “Where are these other civilizations that came before us, which got caught up in their own Singularity Waves?”

Determined to solve the mystery, Roman and Elsa once again board the Phantom Menace, the most advanced warbird known. Capitalizing on its capacity to chew through space-time like none other, the two lovers tunnel through the multiverse on an impossible quest.

The answer to their question, however, is not what they expected, and it’s not what our Singularity Wave was prepared to come up against.

While action-packed sci-fi/techno-thrillers set in the near future are my forte, I also stray into other genres from time to time, such as space operas, paranormal fantasy, and detective stories. All my novels can be described as action-thrillers, no matter the sub-genre.

You can sample my writing with a free sci-fi e-book set in the near future by visiting my website https://deancmoore.com and signing up for my email list.

I live in the country where I breed bluebirds, which are endangered in these parts, as my small contribution to restoring nature's balance. When I'm not writing, or researching my next book, I may also be found socializing with friends, or working in the garden.

If you'd like to know what compels me to write, it's simple. I write as a force for peace. Fiction has a way of engaging our whole minds, not just our intellects, but various layers of our conscious, superconscious, and unconscious. Novels also encourage our left and right cerebral hemispheres to get in sync and, with just enough magic and wizardry, can help to transform people into more enlightened souls (the writer included) better than a hundred years of therapy or rational arguments to the same ends.

I've remained a lifelong student of philosophy, spirituality, psychology, science, and the arts.

Mark Freeman Enterprises (MFE) is my company. I sometimes publish under that label or simply under Amazon Digital Services.

Kindle Unlimited, going through all 3 at once, bit dystopian/futuristic type. This one was one of those it helped to have read the first one but there so much going on at times felt a bit lost but that sometimes happens. Of course the 3 should be wrapping things up, but ya never know with writers, right.

DNA-enhanced, neuronet-upgraded humanoids, morphing rapidly to accommodate to new worlds, spread technological innovation wherever they go. The Singularity Wave thus sweeps through galaxy after galaxy, propelled by citizen scientists who numbered in the billions once. Now they number in the quadrillions. Nothing can stop them. Nothing can even slow them for long. It was just inevitable then that they would start to close in on alien civilizations one after the other. Those civilizations have little choice but to be assimilated by the Singularity Wave that has caught everyone up in it. The Daytona commune of biohackers, located somewhere in backwards Oregon, once again picks up the torch to champion the little guy. But their concerns go beyond protecting the rights of newly assimilated alien civilizations. They ask themselves, where are these other civilizations that came before us, that got caught up in their own Singularity Waves? If every civilization must inevitably close in on that threshold moment as they pass form humanity to transhumanity, in the inexorable march of technological progress which forever feeds on itself, getting faster, more proficient . . .

Why then are we the first civilization to enter Singularity? If we aren’t, what happened to the others? Mankind had been debating these questions since prior to Singularity hitting. But Roman, the leader of the biohacker collective, feels it’s time to settle the question. If not now, as uncountable numbers of lifeforms are being devoured within the maw of the Singularity Wave, then when?Determined to solve the mystery, Roman once again boards the Phantom Menace, the most advanced warbird known to our Singularity Wave, with the capacity to chew through space-time like none other, in a quest that will take him through the multiverse. The answer to his question, however, is not what he expected, and it’s not what our Singularity Wave was prepared to come up against.

I rate this book 4.5 and enjoyed it tremendously mostly because of the humour (dark and sarcastic) but also because of the interactions of the various characters. This book like the previous two are stand alone reads however I believe reading them in order as I have done enhances understanding of some very interesting yet complex technological advances in nano constructs. The premise behind Romans insistence that all humans be implanted with the neuronet and thus created a world of genius's beyond the level of Einstein or Tesla allowed that whatever one could imagine could be created and thus stared the Singularity Wave that spread through the multiverse in very short order. He did this so all could enjoy the good life not just the super rich corporations 1% group.

The author's points of focus stand out strong, such as corporate and political greed and the social injustice it results in. With Roman's insistence via all man kind receiving the neuronet and the subsequent implementation that people destress from working themselves day and night to create the latest and greatest thing I believe that the corporate entities played them because they factored that into the equation and shaped the results to make even larger profits. It seems to me that the corporation is always many steps ahead of Roman, Ethan and Alexa. Another area of fascination for the author is with nano technology which infuses into every creation and faucet of all three books. Another of course is his focus on A.I. that is sentient and mostly homicidal.

This brings us to areas that are not so pleasant but are out there in society and do not go away simply by ignoring them. Areas of sexuality, normal, deviant and everything in between, discussing mass murder on a scale it numbs the mind and every other character has soiciopathic tendencies. For these and other reasons this should be only read by adults. I believe if you consider how and why many of these taboo topics are raised they are meant to be discussed and that they are also meant to be more humorous than harmful. This is the author testing the boundaries of social norms to the nth degree. Note that even though many of the concepts are indeed sick and depraved that most if not all are working on solutions to change this deviant behaviour for the better.

You will delight in the numerous segue ways to current and past movies and TV shows. Star Trek's "The Phantom Menace...Irvin's bringing to life Star Wars light sabers, the AI sentient of the Phantom Menace called... what else but HAL from Space Odyssey 2001 only infinitely more homicidal on a galaxy scale as befits a ship built to concur and take on whatever the cosmos throws at it. There are also Star Trek galaxy's where everything Trek is lived and breathed.

In conclusion if you want to be engaged and at times be mentally active to understand some of the concepts you need to read not just this book but all of them. It is definitely escapism at it's abstract best and entertaining at the opposite end of the spectrum. Give it a go!

Roman and the Sexy Six are back.
Let me point out, if you are new to this series, these novels are written in a manner that makes each boo a stand alone novel. You don't have to read the first two books in this series to get full enjoyment but it is much more satisfying if you do - kind of like eating a slice of cake with frosting on it. The whole package combined just makes it that much sweeter.

This novel takes us deep into the workings of the Sexy Six, the relationship of Roman and Elsa, and some very interesting twists on the multi-verse overall. As always this author does not drag on endlessly in the beginning setting up the story. It gets into the action from the start. We delve deep into the mysteries of the cultural singularity its triumphs and pitfalls. This leads us through some rather dramatic and action packed scenes giving the characters many opportunities to find themselves in over their heads.

The book has lots of philosophy and cutting edge science, all well researched thank goodness, making this a work of art that will make you stop and think for a moment about just how soon it all may become reality rather than fiction. Of course the humor sprinkled casually throughout the story make it light hearted but also very much more real to read.

Would I recommend this book. A resounding yes. This is not a book that uses a lot of useless scenery just to fill up pages. You will actually get a novel that is one you will want to hang onto for some time to come so you can read it multiple times.

Three points first. a. Sci-fi is not a genre I am overly familiar with b. I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. c. I have not read the first two books of the series, however, I was assured that this book could be treated as a stand-alone novel.

Did I like the story of the book? Yes. Did I like the way the story was conveyed? No.

I have seen other readers/reviewers who have extolled about the great research that the writer has gone to to give credibility to the story. Unfortunately, for me, the full explaining of actions/events acted only as a break in the flow of the story &/or conversation, and extremely tedious/boring.

As a brief example - and believe me there are many, many more that are even more blown out. Early on in the book (pg 15), we have the main character needing to activate what is essentially a Jedi-type sword. Is that what the author says (NB This would have been possible, because during the book the main character does refer to Star Trek)? No. We are subjected to 212 words explaining nanos, wave functions & neuronets, before the sword is even activated. I'd hate for the author to write about the actions of the gunman in Gunfight at the OK Corral - I'd be bald by the time the guy who loses hits the ground.

I read to relax, entertained or involved in a story. If I wanted to sit and read about all this other stuff I'd go and enrol myself in Biochemistry/Robotics/Biophysics 101.

If you're a real die-hard Sci-fi fan, I suppose I could recommend it.
If you're not, I'd suggest you look further along the shelf.

Dean C. Moore’s Biohackers series is outstanding. Most importantly, it has fantastic, well thought out speculative science in his whole concept of a Singularity Wave of DNA enhanced / neurinet linked humanity absorbing the universe (including aliens) in a massive ever expanding Wave). But there’s so much more: action, intrigue, adventure and even a bit of romance. In Singularity News, it’s book 3, Roman and Elsa and commune of Biohackers in backwoods Oregon are our to get some sort of definitive answer as to whether or not aliens led prior Singularity Waves and, if so, what happened to them. Returning to the great ship, Phantom Menace (yes Star Wars fans, the name was deliberately selected, as this author is clearly a fan of Sci Fi films and books), they’re off to investigate and ... well, I’m not going to spoil things for you. Instead I will simply say “wow”. Superbly done Dean C. Moore!

Great concepts, great plot, great writing and great lead and supporting characters. Yup, “great” is the key work here, so I will now “great-ly” recommend it.

PS: you can indeed fairly easily read this book as a standalone and have a very enjoyable experience, but you’ll get far enhanced enjoyment if you start at Biohackers 1 and work up to this one. This is both because of the background you’ll gain and because, frankly, they’re a heck of a lot of fun.

Review: SINGULARITY NEWS by Dean C. Moore

Author Dean C. Moore has a magnificent imagination for science fiction, a mind I consider equivalent to the classic science fiction minds of the 1950's and 1960's, the era of massively imagined science fiction in which I grew up, feeding myself with dreams of space travel and far-flung planets, of extraterrestrial sentience (and invasion), and the capability to receive data and information from anywhere on the globe. (Then, with the advent of the World Wide Web, to dream of direct data download. Oh, yeah.) Well, folks, here all those dreams come true, only so much more than I could have imagined.

Multiverse cranial access! Multiverse travel! Science and technology rules! Physical near-immortality! Nanotechnology! Die and be revived! The dreams of millennia are manifest.

All of this (as is so much else) to quantum physics. The Singularity Wave of 2020 commenced immense changes which allowed, even invoked, the evolution of artificial intelligence. Of course, there for the most part goes privacy. It is now possible to know nearly everything. Corporations and citizen-scientists (eternal creators) balance the Multiverse. Wow! Could it be Utopia at last?

Singularity News is my first book of the BIOHACKERS series. I WILL read books 1 and 2. Cybernetic Agents and Phantom Menace. Dean C. Moore takes the topics of AGI and transhuman and creates a jaw-dropping, thought provoking, page turning fantastic read!!! Mind and imagination expanding ;). Full of dark and twisted humor. Scientific knowledge. Thrilling and destructive action. Suspense. Unpredictable twists and turns. With a love story that developed over the first 2 books. It is still growing. Elsa and Roman. She is an ex queen enforcer and still the best. He is the spiritual leader, and god of war when needed. It seems the worlds need him as both, Again. They both are needed. AGAIN to lead the way. For saving ALL. The Age of Abundance has ended. Heading towards a Singularity Wave CRASH?!? The End Of The World. The characters are transhuman and this has occurred during the first 2 books. And a very short number of years. Yet a reader can start with this book and jump right in for reading enjoyment. To later catch up with back-story detail, books 1&2. I received this book as an ARC. I am voluntarily posting this review.

Roman and the rest of the gang are back in book three that is a mind bending crazy read. I loved how we got to check in with everyone from the first 2 books to see that yes they are all just as nutty/crazy as before and then the real action begins. Highly speculative and very creative. I never quite knew what was coming next. I won't spoil the surprise but I had to find out what could stop the Singularity Wave. Half the fun was seeing how they all got to the end and who would save the day. Loved how Roman got back in the action and then pulled in his brain trust ie the bio-hacker commune to help. I honestly liked the story for its wild ideas of the future and that I could not really predict what was coming next except that it would be killer and highly imaginative.

Singularity News is the third book in the Biohackers series. The book can be read as a standalone. There is a lot of violence and adult content so definitely 18+.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. The author does do a good job describing for new readers this universe he created in the first book. This is not your typical SciFi story. Expect a lot of humor and sarcasm mixed in with the storyline. Be prepared for a lot of back and forth between characters and tech talk. I received a copy of this book from the author and chose to leave a review for other readers.

The third book in the Biohackers series and while part of a series it could be read as a stand-alone.Like the other 2 books in the series, it also has a rather disjointed surreal quality.I found it difficult to read because of this and not as enjoyable as the other book I have read by this author(Mind Bender It Takes Two).If you are looking for something different however this book might appeal to you.

Another interesting read. The third book in the series. Roman and his Sexy Six take on the multiverse to solve the unsolvable. Yet as the story twists and turns around and through itself many possibilities show themselves. Possibilities that can change everything.

Wow, who would think that another book could be even better, but it was. Kept my attention the whole way. No reason for anyone to miss out.
