She wrote herself into the book... Ashlynn makes a spectacular but unintentional mistake--she has accidentally taken the place of the heroine on the pages of her new novel. Happily, the hero is a delicious dream come true. But sadly, she may not get to keep him. Her only hope for happily ever after lies in solving a mystery--to figure out how she managed to step into those pages the first time, so she can do it again.
Too bad. It seemed such a good day for crazy.

A Good Day for Crazy, by L.L. Muir was a stretch for me genre-wise. I am not a fan of time travel books, generally, but I love Ms. Muir's Ghosts of Culloden Moor series, as well as the Scarlet Plumiere, so I wanted to give it a try.
SO glad I did.
If you can read a time travel book, then nothing should disturb you story-wise, in my opinion. Take it for what it is--entertainment. In this story, Ashlynn is an author that writes herself into her own love story. It sounds silly, but it is a really cute and well-written story about the love we all dream of.
Clean, funny, sweet and a quick read--what's not to love? I highly recommend.
This book just didn't work for me. I liked the idea - an author entering her own book - but the story just made me uncomfortable. If it had been a full-size novel, I would not have finished it. I didn't think there was much too like about the female lead, and there was nothing about the romance that felt believable to me. I can see why others might call this cute, but for me, well... (very slight spoiler alert)...
I just don't think that a detailed, repeated discussion about a grown woman peeing her pants has any place at all in a romance. But if that doesn't turn you off, then perhaps you won't be bothered by the rest.
I was thoroughly disappointed at the ending as a matter of fact if I think about it I'm disappointed in the entire book of the book was well-written in a write a book by numbers sort of way it was a big letdown and not a true time travel by any sense of the imagination
LL Muir is always a must read, this book was absolutely NOT a disappointment and has me wondering how much might be an autobiography to a point or was it just another story bursting to get out?
Either way, this light-hearted, story of a writer on the .....umm 'Muir' interesting day at work' and how life is impacted thereafter, is a great addition to her collection of work.
Absolutely, loved it and will be reading this again!
This story is billed as a time-travel mystery in the description. If you picked it up for time travel, I would suggest turning around right now. While the writing flows smoothly, I found the story unsatisfying. There was very little in the way of time travel and not much of a mystery. There was a lot of telling instead of showing so I didn't really feel connected to the character. I kept waiting for something to happen but all the good stuff seemed to occur off the page. Still, I plan to give the author's work another chance to see if this writing style applies to all her books.
"Stop chasing Fate and let Fate come to you". When these words appeared on the pages of this mesmerizing story - I just knew that this book held treasures unlocked only by imagination. What if time travel is real and love transcends time? What if it is possible to jump into a book and find your destiny or fate or true love? What if you weren't crazy to believe? But more importantly what if you were crazy not to believe?
I've read all sorts of stories, but nothing quite like the storyline here. Having been a victim of a stalker, author Ashlynn leads a reclusive life, following some rather odd rituals. When she thinks she might have time-travelled, she's worried about her sanity, but also yearns to go back and leave her lonely existence. There is some cynical humor, which had me laughing. I especially liked the surprise epilogue, which neatly wraps up the mystery.
This is a story of a quirky female author who found herself inside the book she was writing and then when no longer with the superb male character despaired of ever getting back to him . Ashlynn was a little OCD...lots of rituals to follow, that made her very interesting. It was a sweet enjoyable read.
I fully enjoyed this story (great title, too)! Hated tearing myself away each time & always rushed back as soon as I could. This is truly a different kind of time travel that captures the reader's interest and lives up to the 5 stars I gave it.
Not the usual time travel but one worth perusing. Is Ashlynne crazy or not? Is Alexander real or writers fantasy? Who is William, another stalker? Want answers? Read this " crazy " book for yourself.
She thinks she going crazy when she is obsessing over a handsome guy from what think is reality but it happened in a dream but than she finds herself that she has traveled through time.
I truly enjoy all L.L. Muir's books. This book left me feeling hopeful and satisfied at the same time. Keep writing because I check two times each month for new releases.

Ashlynn wrote books but one day she even visited one. She fell in love with the man she visited. Over and over again she tried to visit it again but could not. L.L. Muir the author of this book made it happen. So Ashlynn finally lived in the 17th century.
This is a long cold drink of water with a surprising taste of lemon, so refreshing. The ending is so surprising for me, I'll keep this one as my read again.
