Having successfully designed the wedding gown of the century, Gigi Goldstein is on top of the world –that is until it all suddenly comes crashing down around her. When the paparazzi captures her and Perry Gillman in a compromising moment the night of the royal wedding, she finds herself entangled in a scandal of global proportion. Convinced her carelessness has ruined every relationship in her life, she’s surprised and moved by her boyfriend, Gideon’s, sudden proposal of marriage and accepts it without a second thought.
Four months later, Gigi’s living at Badgley Hall contemplating an entirely new kind of life while guilt, regret, and obligation keep calling her back to her old one. Will Gigi stay in South Gloucestershire, marry Gideon, and become the Countess of Harronsby?
Or, will unfinished opportunities and an old flame bring her back across the pond to confront her past and reclaim her future?
The Campfire Series 1. One S'more Summer 2. S'more to Lose 3. Love You S'more - Coming Summer 2018!
Beth is a native New Yorker who loves rom-coms, Broadway, and a good maxi dress. She was introduced to her husband through a friend she met at sleepaway camp and considers the eight summers she spent there to be the most formative of her life. One S’more Summer is Beth's debut novel.
So, the 2nd book ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, and so I wasn't quite sure where exactly we'd end up starting this 3rd book. I wasn't necessarily happy to see that Gigi and Gideon had decided to make it work. That she wasn't going to try with Perry, because I really like Perry. But things unfold the way you would expect, and soon Gigi knows that her life with Gideon probably wouldn't give her the chance to realize her dreams in fashion. So when a chance to go work with a big fashion show in NYC comes up, at the same time she must go back to fulfill a final obligation for her reality tv show contract, things really start to switch up. Of course she'll run into Perry. And of course, she'll have to go see his amazingly successful Broadway show, Elizabeth. Perry even sets up a very special, personal showing of his play for Gigi.
In this book Gigi has to figure out where exactly she wants to go with her fashion designing future. She also gets a visit with a blast from the past, her ex, Joshua. And when it even starts to stray towards maybe he might be interested in her, I know that I was still all about being team Perry. I finished this book smiling, loving how the author wrapped everything up. This is a sweet little romance series, one that I think needs much more recognition and attention than it gets!
At the end of Book #2, we read as Gigi ended up all over the tabloids when she was accused of splitting up one of the royal family members with Perry Gilman. Even though this wasn't true, it ended the start of the most significant highlight of her fashion career and put her friendship with Jamie in the doghouse. Now almost six months later, Gigi is engaged to Gideon - a Count in England and Perry is busy storming the world of Broadway with his hit musical Elizabeth which has hit NYC fever. From the beginning of this series, we always had an idea that no matter what happened in life somehow fate would still push Perry and Gigi back together to prove to them that they are meant to be. In this book, Gigi realizes she doesn't want to give up her fashion side and be a housewife who leads her to an opportunity of a lifetime - being in charge of the design for the Met Ball this year. With Perry and Gigi both finally at the height of their careers - will they realize that they still need one another to be entirely happy? I also liked how the end of this book brought back a reunion of one of the earlier characters from Book #1 One S'more Summer. If you love reunions, third chance loves, and memories of summer camps. Then check out Book #3 in the Campfire Series by Beth Merlin today.
I have absolutely loved this series from start to finish. I can never pass up a good camp book, and while that drew me into the first book, the characters kept me around for the rest of the series. Gigi was so wonderfully flawed and I couldn’t help but love her (as I was rolling my eyes at what a mess she could be!), Jamie was perfect in his role as best friend, balancing humor with his great ability to be frank and honest with Gigi, and Perry. Oh...Perry. From the broken counselor at camp to world-renowned musician, I have loved watching Perry grow and use his mistakes to make himself into a better person. This third book in the series wrapped up every aspect of the story perfectly. This will be a series that I reread over and over again in the future.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was a perfect ending to this cute series. I really enjoyed the entire series and felt that the books just got better with each one. I really love the main character Gigi and enjoyed seeing her progression over the course of the series, which follows her story through quite a few years. For those who enjoy slow burn romances, this series is for you. I look forward to more to come from this author.
I read this book in 5 hrs because it was SO AMAZING!!!! I cried at the end because I feel so connected to the characters and all they go through. Gigi really matured in this book and it’s amazing to watch her blossom. I laughed out loud numerous times, I cried, I was angry, sad, happy, etc. Pick an emotion and Ms. Merlin made me feel it through her characters and her writing.
Now, I just need someone to write this Elizabeth musical and my life would be complete.
While billed as book four in the series, I’d recommend reading it after book two and before book three. It fills in nearly all of the gaps between books one and two, but I’d read it after the second one so it doesn’t spoil any of the best surprises. After Camp Chinooka, Perry and Gigi are making a go of it in New York. Perry plays piano in a nearby jazz club at night while Gigi and Jamie work on getting G. Malone off the ground. But Perry is hitting one creative roadblock after another, and after he suffers a particularly rough setback, he takes stock of the project he’s been working on for the past four years, Frostbite, a retelling of Shakespeare’s, The Winter’s Tale.
When tragedy strikes at home, Perry rethinks everything in his life, and begins to formulate an idea for a musical based on Elizabeth I. In the vein of Hamilton, the work unfolds with the level of detail Merlin is famous for, and I’d go see this right now if it was a real musical. However, as Perry’s successes pile up, his relationship with Gigi begins to crumble, and he will be forced to choose between his two greatest loves.
Plot I ultimately knew what was going to happen going into it, because it’s essentially the same thing from Perry’s point of view, but since most of it happens between the end of book one and the beginning of book two, it does fill in some gaps. It ends at the conclusion of book two, and nicely sets up the third book. It’s well-told, as all Merlin’s books are, but doesn’t move quite as fast as book two. Still, it’s an engaging read and Perry’s character is so fully developed, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The descriptions of his process for creating Elizabeth was riveting, and his heartache is palpable, endearing him to me forever. I know I was on the fence about Perry vs. Gideon after book two, but now I’m solidly in Perry’s court.
Characters It’s the same cast I’ve already grown to know and love, but from a different perspective, plus a few new characters thrown in the mix. They’re all very well crafted and believably unique.
What I Loved About TELL ME S’MORE 1. Elizabeth I. I loved seeing the process for this musical coming to life. I’d buy tickets to go see it tomorrow if it was a real thing!
2. Perry. He has redeemed himself and I’m now rooting for him.
3. Music. I’ve always been in awe of the way musicians write music, and feel like I have a better understanding of the process now.
4. Annabelle. I liked her in book two and love her even more in this one. She and Gideon both got raw deals, but I’m pulling for them both to get their own HEAs.
5. Ending. Gut-wrenching and fitting for this story. Loved it, even though it made me cry.
Bottom Line Can be read as a standalone, but packs SO much more emotional punch if read after book two.
Disclaimer I was provided with a copy of the book by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is the kind of sweet story to just relax and enjoy! Although it is book 3 and is a standalone, I think I would have found it even better if I had read the first 2 in the series. Now to go back to the first two books.
I liked the author's style of writing and enjoyed the various characters. Fun to read the different locations that the Gigi was in. And oh, my, what a perfect ending!
Looking for a good romance, I would recommend this book but I'd start with book 1 to get to know the characters best.
* I was provided an ARC to read from the publisher and NetGalley. It was my decision to read and review this book.
This series is great! Light, cute romance. But wait! The characters actually grow up, and learn from mistakes! I think I liked each book a little better than the last. The final book on the series did not disappoint. To be honest I was a little worried where it was going as it got close to the end but the ending was perfect. I enjoyed following these characters over several years of ups and down and growth.
Also loved how the author incorporated summer camp (oh the memories!), Top Designer (which we all know, really Project Runway) and Elizabeth (Hamilton). As someone who has enjoyed all of these things it was fun to see the interpreted in a new way throughout the series.
Captivating story! The author achieves a story filled with emotional ups and downs, how big opportunities and success can be overshadowed by unexpected situations. This installment is focused on self search and empowerment. Definitely recommend it.
Note: I received an ARC for review and an honest and unbiased opinion.
What an engaging series full of love, loss, twists, turns and a perfect ending. The fastest way may be a straight line between two points but the long, winding road of this series made for spectacular scenery.
I loved this series, and it just got better and better as it went along. The characters were real and believable and real and they weren't silly. The background of fashion and Elizabeth was wonderful and makes me want to experience all of it. An easy read with some real guts.
I adored Beth Merlin's "Love You S'more" and thought it was the perfect ending to main character Gigi's story. Gigi has grown up and learned so much about herself since the series began, and it was very satisfying for me to see her end up in such a good place, both personally and professionally.
I really appreciated that things with Gigi's love interests, Gideon and Perry, didn't unfold exactly the way I thought they would. There was no dramatic scene where she had to choose between them; instead, one relationship came to a natural end months before things heated up with the other love interest. I was very happy with her ultimate choice of partner and how their relationship progressed.
Also, while the romance was obviously a central part of the story, Gigi's career journey and relationships with her friends and family were equally important. She needed to figure out a lot of things on her own before committing to a romantic relationship. I was especially happy to see Gigi reconnect with Alicia, her BFF from Camp Chinooka, because Alicia seemed so much more likeable in this book. I found her to be kind of self-centered in the first book, but this time around she wasn't as wrapped up in her own life. She acted like a much better friend to Gigi and actually provided valuable advice on several occasions.
While I am sad that the Campfire series has come to an end, I am looking forward to reading more of Beth Merlin's work in the future.

I can't accurately put into words HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS BOOK. Basically, it's A LOT!! But for so so so many reasons.
It is clear that the writer and her skills have grown with each installment of this trilogy. I really enjoyed One S'more Summer and was curious how the series would continue to impress me. But man, impress me it did. My favorite aspect of Book 2 and Book 3 were the references to pop culture elements - like the royal wedding and fashion and the Met Ball and the Hamilton-esque Broadway musical based on the life of Queen Elizabeth. The research was so apparent, but even more impressive was the way the Merlin wove the research into a compelling plot. The research and world ALWAYS enhanced the story, it never bogged it down.
In terms of the characters, I love how we meet this cast in book one and all of their arcs are realized by book 3. We get a chance to peek into the lives of all of them throughout the series and it really makes the world even more vibrant and realistic. Throughout the series, Jamie was always my favorite, but I have to be honest, Trini kinda slid into the top spot by book 3. The wise words, the support, and the friendship that this mentor provides Gigi exemplifies women supporting each other in the industry instead of tearing one another down. It always felt so genuine and professional and I was inspired by Trini's role as a teacher and as a friend.
Lastly, Gigi. Oh, Gigi. What can I say? She was so painfully flawed in book one that I found myself yelling at her aloud at times - "What are you dooooing?!? AHHHH!!" She just constantly self-sabotaged her own happiness and at times, it was hard to watch. But as you come to understand her background, her upbringing, her parents, and her influential past, you come to see why she was drawn to make the decisions she did. It was out of fear and lack of self-confidence - which is to something that MANY of us can releate. But as the series goes on, Gigi finds her footing, she finds her voice, and she finally finds power and strength in her talent. Her growth as a young woman is so evident and empowering to the reader.
In addition, I enjoyed the romantic elements of this book, but I loved even more that this wasn't a love story in the traditional sense. The men in Gigi's life and her romances with them were secondary to her growth and her own arc. Where she was with each relationship and each man in her life was defined by where she was in her own journey. If she herself wasn't sure of herself, her relationships were doomed to fail. But as she discovered herself, she was able to make better decisions about her love life - decisions that helped to enhance the happiness she was creating for herself.
Long story short (too late, I know) - EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS SERIES! It's light-hearted, funny, and tackles real issues amidst fun and whimsical elements. Bravo, Beth Merlin. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!
Love You S’more is the third and presumably final book in Beth Merlin’s The Campfire Series. It is absolutely charming romance, and although I haven’t read the first two books, it seems like a brilliant finish to the trilogy. Ms. Merlin provides ample summary so that new readers have enough information to jump into the story. I will say that I enjoyed this book so much that I plan to read the prior books as well.
Georgica Goldstein (AKA Gigi) was a rising star in the fashion industry until her ex-boyfriend, Perry Gillman, unintentionally gets her mixed up in a tabloid scandal. When British aristocrat Gideon Satterly, rashly proposes, Gigi jumps at the chance to escape to the English countryside.
At first, Gideon seems like a dream come true. He’s never horrible, but it becomes clear that his expectations leave little room for Gigi to pursue her own dreams. No matter how much effort she puts into family affairs, the Satterly clan just barely tolerates her presence. I couldn’t help hoping that Gigi would buck-up and chuck that relationship.
Perry Gillman is Gigi’s first love, and they were their best and worst together. He is now a megastar on Broadway. His production of Elizabeth (think Hamilton) is renown in both the USA and the UK. The romantic musical about QE 1 depicts the Elizabeth and Dudley’s choice of work before love. Ironically, this mirrors Perry and Gigi’s experience.
“…after the court of public opinion passed its sentence Dudley and Elizabeth’s relationship is never quite the same.”
The three main characters are fantastic, and their stories are endearing. Love You S’more is an adorable story. It is a sweet, clean romance with an overall positive feel. The prior angst and turmoil is realistically resolved in this series conclusion. The little bit of snobbishness adds just the right amount of conflict to the story. Additionally, Ms. Merlin provides readers with some delicious details about theater, the fashion industry, and Queen Elizabeth 1. I thoroughly enjoyed this well-written contemporary romance.

I enjoy this series immensely! They’re light and fun to read. I have a really hard time putting the book down and end up staying awake an hour longer than I should.
This series took me completely by surprise. I got a deal on the first book, and I really enjoyed it, so I bought the second and by the end of it my heart was devastated by Gigi’s fall from fame, but I was satisfied about one thing, and that was Gideon.
Perry stole my heart in the first book, but in the second I was on Gigi’s side. She deserved more, and Gideon delivered. So I was super apprehensive about this last book. How was I supposed to stop loving Gideon, and fall back in love with Perry?
Truthfully I preordered this book, but I was so sure I was going to be let down that it took me months to actually try to read it. I’m glad I did!
From the first chapter I was hooked all over again. Beth Merlin’s writing is engaging and Gigi’s voice was a welcome friend. And to my greatest delight, everything was handled with thought and care. Gideon was still charming and lovely, and Perry slowly works his way back into my good graces but this book, while still a love story, wasn’t about either of them winning Gigi’s heart. It was about Gigi finally finding herself and loving herself.
That was the story Beth was telling this whole time and I have to say she nailed it. I will never doubt her again.
First a quick rant – why “women's” fiction? Why exclude 50% or readers....men write romance and read it.
I hadn't read book one or two, two was on KU so I read that and the synopsis of book one. I think I'd have enjoyed this even more if I knew the full backstory from book one, but even without its a story I loved. Some fabulous characters, and lots to ponder. For me the big one was Why? Why did Perry just ghost her when he moved, when they were so close, so in love? I really needed those answers. I loved Gigi and Jamie, though occasionally I do feel the Gay Best Friend is becoming a little overused in romance. Still, he fitted in perfectly here and did add much to the story. I adored all the dress designing info, a world I know nothing of. Fashion for me means finding some clothes that are not paint stained...I'm an artist and invariably everything gets an addition of unintentional colour. Last seasons clothes are fine for me, tomorrow I'm attending a christening in an outfit that's probably 20 years old. It suits me so shy not is my reasoning. Still, I adore reading about the world of fashion, the creation of beautiful outfits ( all that beading, fabrics and beading are a real weakness of mine – tomorrows outfit is an Indian silk printed shalwar kameez, with a lovely glittery copper running through). I love the way something as simple as clothing can become so important, so much depending on it and I was completely sucked into Gigi's experiences designing Victoria's outfits. Alongside that is another world almost foreign to me, Theatre. I was entranced by the whole set design, setting music to scenes, creating a story from history. I could see why Perry was so hooked on the world, why it was so important to him. I still just kept having the thoughts though “why Perry, Why?” He seemed such a great guy, just didn't seem the callous type. Then there's Gideon, and he was wonderful too. So very down to earth, so hard working, determined to make his ancestral home pay its way and stay in the family. We've a few like that in the region I live, some owned by NT but others where the families work hard to keep everything in the family, even when it means letting the public into your home. I'd find that hard, but when the alternative is losing it? Knowing a few people of his type I felt the scenes with Gigi and his friends and family were very real. The top echelons of UK society can be very insular, do reject those not quite whom they regard as Like Us. U and non U is still very much alive. So there were Gigi and Gideon, so in love but could the US career girl fit into UK Society, was love enough? What about Gigi's career? And then into all that drops the scandal and poor Gigi once more goes from cream of the top, Lady of the day into Most Despised Person. I so felt for her, she'd done nothing, it was Perry who really should have copped the blame but as usual the woman gets it ;-( The British press are merciless, and I so hate their desperation to cook up a story, parade lies as truth when it comes to celebrities. There's a saying they never let the truth get in the way of a good story and its so true, and why I've not bought a newspaper for years. Its a fabulous, engrossing read, transporting the reader into the world of fashion married with High society, and showing just what an impact simple decisions can have on careers and lives. The ending – well, I loved it, perfect for me. I may well go back and read book one sometime, and two and three once more.
A quick point, well a couple of them. We don't say Fall, its Autumn. Certainly coming from a landed and titled family Gideon would Never use a US term like that when talking about how booked up Badgely Hall was becoming. Victoria, future Queen of UK, supposedly lets her husband know of his impending fatherhood by asking for sparkling cider instead of champagne. Here in the UK there is both Still and Sparkling cider, each very alcoholic. There's no way a future Queen, UK born and bred would request cider, meaning a non alcoholic drink, she'd be asking for water or fruit juice most likely. Sparkling cider is a US/Canadian term only. They're small points and usually I could ignore things like that – it happens when writing about other cultures and countries, but these two points are very major ones IMO.
Stars: Five, a fabulous read, engrossing story, real characters and plenty of drama.

I brought the first book 6ish months ago but never read it until last night when it repopped up in BookBub. I read all three books in about 12hours. The most annoying thing about this trilogy is the story moves along from a point where all the music and a musical can be look up and listened to as your reading (or after) like the chilling opening act in Fiddler on the roof, or one of the many Gershwin songs, which thankfully are the whole way through the trilogy! ;) as well as the quotes!! But then it goes to a mostly fictional play/musical/film that sounds absolutely unbelievably incredible & amazing. And all of Gigi’s amazing works of art! What she can create just sounds absolutely STUNNING & BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!! (we all knew Gigi & Perry was both destined for greatness since the beginning) I think I NEED this to be made into a movie or two I think it would be safely condensed into two movies!! I am dying to see the colour wars take place, the wedding dress that keeps popping up, all the clothes, the PEOPLE, the flashbacks, The camp as a whole! The gazebo, the stage, bunk Fourteen ect (it’s more intriguing than the castle with a moat but I’d love to see that too haha) :) I want to see her fall out of what she concided love... to a real true forever love... to a we can make it work love... before coming back to the true winner!!! But Most of all I want to watch Gigi recognise herself finally as a person who is “confident, capable and willing to take chances” I also loved just how real this book is. You can without a doubt relate to the characters; The body issues Gigi has fought her entire life, falling for your best friends guy/girl, wrecking friendships & relationships and only being able to repair some even though you might want to repair them all, losing family members because you identify as part of the LGBTQ banner, trying to escape your life by running away for a while, focusing too much on work so it becomes your all and you lose almost everything else Ect, the list goes on and on!!
Beth Merlin was very clever in hugely shifting the story line, & including so many time jumps. She was clever about it and it wasn’t overkill the many different places and constantly having different & many unexpected, things happen made the story work. Though some things that happened are a little unforgivable ;) It left you pining for the outcome you wanted [but you still weren’t sure you’d get it(I mentally had a peep talk to Gigi that after all that time she COULD NOT get back with Joshua)] but you didn’t get bored with the story!! Even though the books have different themes. (My perspective) 1. Bringing each other back to the lives they were meant to live, 2. the whole fairytale whirlwind... then it going belly up, 3. Realising what matters then finally realising what was the right path and after comprehending it following through! (Both job and personally related) It all fits nicely together and while some of these things are a stretch for your everyday lives they can most certainly be used as metaphors!!
I really did love this trilogy!! I read it quick but I’ll be sure to read it again!
The only thing I’d have liked was for Goldy to come up at the end quickly when they were having s’mores and idk wink at them saying he knew they’d work it all out and come back home too tie the knot just like he’d always hoped!! Or put their song over the PA or another older song about finally being with the one you love.... after it already being introduced shortly before the end of book maybe with a laugh & shake of there heads they commented about how he’ll never change but they love him anyway! (skip to final scene) “Perry threw a few more pieces of wood onto the campfire, bringing the dying flame back to life. The Final notes to .... playing over the PA they smiled to each other knowing it was just the beginning)
Due to complications, I had to read this book as a standalone instead of an actual series.
I was a little bit wary of starting on book three of a series, but according to the publisher, it won't be as bad for this series specifically because of how it's written. To have a better reading experience despite this obstacle, I also read some reviews to get a better sense of the background information and what was going on.
I'm happy to say that this book was a pleasant read not because it provided an idealistic escape, but more like dumpling over me a bucket of pure reality and reliability through the realism in the story and the portrayal of the relationship. Because of this, for those who don't like much realism in reading experiences because they seek escape, be warned. For those who love realism like this, I recommend this book. For those who are willing to try new things, view this as a friendly reminder.
I don't think I would ever call this book the best contemporary book I've read ever or in this month, but I do want to explicitly acknowledge its realism in the story. It can be very powerful and influential depending on each individual reader.
As the book progressed for me, I realized that although I appreciate the romance, I feel like I'm more reading it for the story about this romance than enjoying the actual romance (if you know what I am talking about). A lot of times I read romance books for the sake of enjoyable storylines and entertaining couples, but the realism of the book really caused me to be more serious when reading this book and more invested in the "story' than the "romance".
When it comes to making a decision between a comfortable life and one that is full of passion along with the stress of the media on your tail, which would you choose? For Gigi, she ran away from her established life as a TOP fashion designer because of a highly misunderstood situation between herself and Perry, a man who cares deeply for her, and runs into the arms of her boyfriend Gideon who stands by her side.
Here is where the dilemma is. While Gideon makes her happy and comfortable, not to mention that he is the heir to an Earldom, she just can't quite let go of her past life in fashion design or the draw that her previous life has on her.
A small stipulation remains in her contract with her design company G. Malone and she must leave London to film an episode for a show she is contractually obligated to do. It couldn't come at a better time, when everyone in Gideon's family is starting to challenge her on whether she is fit to live the life of a Countess.
While back in New York, fulfilling her obligation, she realizes she must make some tough decisions about her relationships and whether or not she can live that life or take the reigns back in her fashion designing career.
A beautifully written contemporary romance, with plenty of enjoyable comedy, it challenges us to evaluate our lives and make big decisions on who we want to be and not necessarily what everyone expects us to be.
This is the first book I have read by Beth Merlin and I’m truly impressed! Ms. Merlin’s writing style is all encompassing. She creates complex characters and her details of scenery and the fashion designs is exquisite! This is the third book in the S’more series and it can be read as a stand-alone. Having said that I wish I had read the other two books first. I felt there were some insights into certain characters and certain situations that I had missed out on. Love You S’more Is the story of Georgia and Perry. At one time they shared a great love but circumstances pulled them apart. (This is something I felt I missed out on because I hadn’t read the earlier books.). Both Georgia and Perry are very ambitious and devoted to their careers. Careers that pull them in different directions. After failed relationships with other people they slowly make their way back towards each other. But once again their careers are pulling them in opposite directions. Will their love of one another be enough to keep them together or will their ambitions tear them apart again? I loved Ms. Merlin’s writing! And I loved most of the storylines. But being the romantic I am I had a hard time with love not coming first. No compromises were made. Still a good read. I’ll be going back to read the first two books in the series soon.
Love You S’more is the third and I believe final novel in The Campfire Series from Beth Merlin, and a great way to end the series. It’s been a lot of fun watching Gigi trying to manage romances, being a high-profile designer, the royal family, and simply trying to find her journey to happiness. This installment did get a bit more serious, with some broken friendships and a health scare, and I was really questioning how Gigi would fare in the end. I don’t want to spoil the ending because like I said I really was curious how this would turn out, but as I’ve said in my past two reviews, I highly recommend this series. The second book is still a personal favorite of mine, but of course start with the first and you’ll have to see how it all ends for this cast of characters. Very fun series to start of 2019 with! I received a review copy
Good quick read, I read it in 3 days. I really enjoy books that are set in the UK as it feels like travelling to another place. This book is set in both New York and the UK.
I always wonder why a lot of books have characters hate each other and then fall in love? I also wonder why some books have characters where the woman can never get over a man and waits for them for years. It seems unrealistic to me, not romantic. I would love to see a main character that is strong and knows what she is worth from the start. I would love to see more relationships in books that are respectful and loving.
I was actually excited to read this book. I enjoyed the first two and wasn’t sure how this would play out since Gideon was such a nice guy. I’m thoroughly satisfied with the ending and glad everyone got a HEA.
The thing I didn’t like was Gigi was perfect at EVERYTHING. Everything she touches turns to gold, whether it be working at the Met, designing, the store at Badgley Hall... like really? It just wasn’t believable that she had no stumbles and was always afraid of failing.
All in all, good book and satisfying ending for Gigi.
This series was wonderful . I got a bit addicted to the characters and had to know how it all turned out. I quickly binged the series reading on my lunch breaks and any free time I could find . You will not be disappointed if you love love & a bit of self doubt . I love how the author melds all of Gigi’s insecurities and strengths and how GiGi grows so much in the novels . It really struck a chord with me . I look forward to reading other novels by this author.
