A very informative and can probably be a result for a change in our ways of perceiving, thinking, evolving and constant learning.
'Sewa' is the greatest mission of human life to any living form,& It's the way all our karma can be balanced to attain 'shuddhi'.
This book provides a lot of information regarding our karma's. How to perceive a higher state of mind, how the deeds of today will help tomorrow and make way for a change in our lives.
So I say that we should at least repay the help we got from family, friends, gurus, land, nature, any living being by doing Sewa to any living form. And I conclude my review with a quote "Manava sewey madhava Sewa" -- Sewa to a human is Sewa to god
The author, in his early life, was a non-believer. Arthritis got him closer to a spiritual person who helped him with the pain of ten years in minutes. The author's life changed post that incident. This book is the culmination of his learning and wisdom, which he has shared. The book is also enriched with illustrations and snippets of anecdotes from the author's own life. He explains in detail what Karma is and how the Karmic code is understood. There are various divisions in the book which make for easy reading. Read full review at my blog
#Insight: The book is a simplified version of Karma and spirituality. For a common man, Karmic Sutra is the best book to start the journey of spiritualism.
#Review: The book extensively talks about the word karma. It covers all aspects of Karma right from its definition to different types of karma. The book talks in detail about negative karma and positive karma. This section was an eye opener for me. The author shares his personal experiences and unbelievable instances that are thought provoking and sometimes impossible to believe. The book states that every act we do needs to be compensated. For example, drinking a glass of water by someone is a debt and we need to pay it back. Depending on the nature of favour, the debt can be small or big. The author has created a karmic worksheet that can be filled on a daily basis for karmic assessment. Though, the book is a simplified version of karma but it can't be fully absorbed in one go. One needs to refer it time and again in their spiritual journey. The last section of the book i.e the after thoughts is a bit difficult to understand. The thoughtful illustrations inside the book further enhances the reading experience. So if you are looking to start your spiritual journey, this book can be of great help. The book suits well for beginner level but spiritually inclined layman.
#Strength: Simple language. Beautifully illustrated cover page. Karmic worksheet for assessment on a daily basis.
#Age group: 13 and above
#Genre: Non Fiction, Spirituality, Personal transformation
I, have been meaning to pen my thoughts on the book Karma Sutra by Hingori ; finally, I take this medium to extend/ pay my gratitude to the author for simplifying such an intense subject so beautifully and still extensively. It’s a wonderful read, not only for those who are striving for spiritual upliftment/ evolvement but also for beginners and for that matter even a common man. As, the name suggests KARMA: the author has kept actions, deeds, intent, thoughts all-inclusive and with complete ease explained in depth but still at grass root so that all who get their hands on the book benefit and get clarity on the subject. Karma sutra, will most definitely raise goose bumps for the reader as it simply addresses actions in all shape and form and by default a reader will introspect his/ her self while reading the book ; and will auto suggest/ auto reflect one's actions. Karma Sutra is a logical explanation of your life balance sheet and hence paves a path going forward.
Karma Sutra gives the clearest explanation of the term 'Karma'. It is a book that explains how your actions and deeds causes good and bad fortune. This book has explained various concepts relevant to our daily lives in a simplified manner. If you are too inquisitive about life and its philosophies, read this! A very informative piece with paintings that can probably be a result for a change in our ways of perceiving, thinking, evolving and constant learning.
One of the finest self improvement books I have ever read! It does not seem to bounce over the head. This book will change the way you think and live. Worth reading if you are into spirituality!
Well, if yiu ever come across the thought where you want to know he purpose of life then, do read these series of books written by Hingori.
This will help you answer the basic question of why things are happening, what is the cause and effect theory all about and how to break the boundaries.
A book which answered many of my questions but also intrigued me to find out a couple of more things. Would definitely recommend to give it a try. A very practically written, informative, short and sweet book which you can read in one shot probably in just an hour or two.
A good introduction to Karmic science. This elucidates the concepts and practices which can be incorporated into our lives and also understand the consequences of actions which we are not aware of.
This book gives good understanding of how to earn +ve Karmas and how to reduce -ve Karmas; thereby helping balance Karmic account. A good read for Karma theory believers.
"It is only at the centre of a seesaw that emotions are at equilibrium." - Hingori in Karma Sutra.
And maybe the purpose of our lives is to attain this equilibrium. Difficult, but not impossible. And this is what Hingori is trying to portray in this book of his. Of course, some things are not believable to the likes of me, but some people would find it worth it.
To those interested, this book talks about how we can reach, or at least go a bit closer to this center of equilibrium through our karmas. How our karmas are disturbing our mental peace, which eventually matters the most. Doesn't it?
!"The secret behind the laws of Karma" A great read for any individual interested in learning the secret behind Karma. This book will help you take those first steps toward to a higher level of existence
Just finished reading Karmasutra! It's such an interesting book! I never knew that the concept of Karma could be explained so beautifully. I would recommend this book to everyone.
Brilliant Book! It is perhaps the simplest book out there on a complex subject like Karma. Esp. loved the anecdotes the author uses to illustrate his points.
For not being much of a reader, this book has explained various concepts relevant to our daily lives and beyond in a simplified manner. Truly a game changer.
