"I can sense you have a greatness waiting to be unlocked. That you’ll take down the void threatening to consume the galaxy.” “The void?”
This series just gets better and better. Character development and the teams relationship really shone through on this one.
We learn more about the prophecy and who Seb is and we also learn more about the parasites from Carstic.
Still absolutely brimming with action but I feel this was the best one so far because we learnt a lot about our team of intergalactic heroes amongst all the fighting.
Bruke's rage is 👌 There’s something beautiful about Bruke in this state. Like watching a sadistic ballet.
This is space opera at its best. Seb and the team continue their adventure in an action packed story as they uncover the truth behind the parasites that had wiped out a mining colony. More of Seb’s mysterious past and special abilities are revealed, and there is the hint of more answers to come. I’ve written it before, and will say it again, the books in this series just keep getting better. The series is perfect as an introduction to space opera, and is well suited as a teen-read. Note: I received a free copy of this book with no obligation to review.
This was another great episode in the space opera - I have the box set. There are plenty of battles as Seb and the others attempt to find out the truth behind the parasites.
SA is a particularly intriguing character and her relationship with Seb is developing. The thoughts and feelings add depth to the story rather than it just being about fighting.
This series continues to get better with each additional book. I love a story that has characters you grow fond of. This story has very unique characters each with their own quirks that make them endearing. This series is a must read for Sci-fi fans. Fugitive may be may favorite so far.

Seb needs answers and his distrust of Moses is at an all time high. what really happened on their last mission. is Seb part of a prophecy and which side of right or wrong, good or evil. is Moses really working for? To find these answers Seb escapes the compound. goes AWOL, and attempts to outmaneuver Moses.
Once again, Michael Robertson takes us on a jaunt through the alleys, arenas, oceans, and planet byways as we follow Seb on his quest for answers and attempts to figure out the moral ambiguities and what side Moses is on, besides his own.
I always like to read about Seb and his team in the shadow order series. The only thing I found a bit off was the love story going on with Seb and SA. It seemed forced and clumsy.. It reminded me of teenagers telling each other they loved each other within a short time of knowing each other. I know these two have gone through a lot together, so they have that connection, but it still didn't ring true.Other than that, I did enjoy the book, I can't wait to see how the group finally makes sure Moses gets what is coming to him, and I'd love to see if The Prophecy involves Seb's talents emerging into something bigger than they already are.
