Detective Daggers hates pomp and circumstance, so imagine his surprise when a fancy evening out turns into the perfect night on the town--at least until a pair of assassins toss him out the window of his third story apartment.

The scrapes and bruises he hobbles away with are bad enough, but Daggers checks into a brand new hell when the gang responsible goes after Steele.

With his friends in jeopardy, old foes thirsting for his blood, and the city on the brink of chaos, Daggers faces a brutal choice. Either succumb to his fears, or harden himself against them. To save the ones he loves, he'll have to become a MAN OF STEELE.

Don't miss this thrilling conclusion to the Daggers and Steele series!

This is the last book in this series but the author states maybe more later. A lot of blood drenching action in this book. I was so afraid that Daggers was going to get killed off. The ending is beautiful.

Lots of action and lots of detective work.

I like humor and mystery and action and heroic fantasy. Man of Steele has all this and is well written. It flows, dialogue is fun and has the backdrop of a trusting friendship between the detectives and their coroner. Daggers "snarky" speaking style is not what I have come to expect as a reader of contemporary homicide mysteries; however, in the world of fantasy and magic that is Daggers "beat", I am free to enjoy his humor along with his smart and brave detective style. I read, or listened to via text-to-speech (Ivona Voice (GBR) Brian), all of the Daggers and Steele books. I appreciate that Mr. Berg didn't keep me waiting long between books. Well done. Thank you Mr.Berg.

An incredible end to an incredible series

I've been a fan of Daggers & Steele since the fist book. With each progressive one I saw the characters grow and become more and more. I loved the world building and the nuance of the detective genre intermixed with the fantasy world of elves and warlocks.

The book was a roller-coaster ride from the beginning and was a great ending. As much as I liked the book, I am sad that it's come to an end. If you are a fan as I am, this is a must read.

Awesome job Mr. Berg. Well done.

Excellent ending to this book! I have followed Jake and Shay through a series of well written stories. This book is the cream of the crop! So much happens within these pages but if I say too much it will spoil the story. Let’s just say you have and very well written mystery with lots of action some bits of humor and romance! Read and enjoy!

Great final story!

Although it was obvious where they were going to end up, this tale of Daggers and Steele's latest case was an exciting, harrowing, and fun ride. I will miss reading about them.

The series all 10 books were so entertaining, I hate to see the series end. Great characters development. Each book is a stand alone but all tie together. NO cliff hangers got to love it.

Man of Steele was a good end to the series though 2/3 of the way in just felt too convenient and rushed in order to get the series to the end.

Good book though but none of the series will top book 6.

A fantastic finale to a very enjoyable series. Much is resolved by the end of the book and the entire story arc is wrapped up in quite a satisfying manner.

If you've read the others, don't stop until you've read this one as well.

Great finish

And when I say great finish I mean the book and the series. The series ends while the author is at the top of his game.

Good ending

This is a fine ending to a good series. Dagger’s shows himself as a Detective not an accidental hero. I would have liked to see more of the others but otherwise good.
