When powerful rancher boss Guy Daly is killed by a stampede of his own creation, the balance of power in the ranching town of Junipah is thrown into the lurch.
Now with just his sheltered teenage daughter Merrill and his trusty old farmhand Lew Cotton to run the ranch, the ever ambitious (and conniving) Joe Lasky from the Diamond L ranch sees it as his time to strike.
But when Lasky's long-time partner Fred Walford objects to the underhanded tactics he's got in mind, all hell breaks lose with old partnerships turning sour and everyone in danger.
How will stranger Kirk Banning, a roving gunfighter who stumbles into Junipah during Guy Daly's funeral, handle the situation, and on who's side will he be invariably drawn to in the oncoming trouble?
This pulp Western, like most pulps, was entertaining enough to pass the time. A bit action-lacking, and more of the relationship/romance side than normal, but good nonetheless.
