Nirvana is a compilation of hauntingly beautiful pieces by Michael Tavon. The author discusses, regret, anxiousness, racial issues, craving for love, and much more. Tavon gets deeply personal and introspective, in hopes of helping those who are in need of self-healing too. "Entrapped inside your Heart-shaped box For lonely years You’ve left me here To survive off hope and tears I know your return is unlikely Unlike me, You have a gift Of hurting others with a smile Luring your victims Into the traps of your eyes I enjoy this place Although it’s often cold It has pockets of warmth In your Heart-Shaped Box I’ll forever be stored Waiting for you Love me more Than August loves to storm."
Of all the poetry books that are overhyped somehow Michael Michael Tavon's work continues to get overlooked. His words are so raw and impact. He deserve far more praise that the popular poets today.
This collection is so broad and not filled with overused themes. it's refreshing to see a poet who's as versatile as he is.

This book was just awe-inspiring and I loved every page. I look forward to reading volume two and I suggest y’all pick up his books. They’re pure excellence. Five stars.
wasn't expecting so many actual Nirvana band references (not a bad thing!).
half the collection is about topics like addiction, gang violence, coming of age, race, depression, friendship (I loved "Moral Support"). Also I don't think I've ever read a poem about endangered animals. "A Letter 2 U" was sweet and the reminder of not being alone is appreciated.
However, I'm tired of the poems written to/about women (another review mentions r.h. Sin and some of the poems are definitely reminiscent). I recognize the poems are deeply personal for the author and therapeutic to write (and likewise healing for those who relate to read), so other than the below slut-shaming line, I understand why they're in the collection even if they aren't my cup of tea.
"I forgave your promiscuous past" are you fucking kidding me?
Mr. Tavon has exemplified the meaning of wearing you heart on your sleeve. "Nirvana: Pieces of Self-Healing" is raw and open, it provides insight into his life, his past struggles, current struggles, and his romantic relationship. This is an excellent collection of poetry for anyone searching for understanding and a sense of inclusion.
I’ve ordered a few books from this author and by far I’m loving what I have read. Great topics, amazing point of views, excellent resources, knowledge of life and relationships and romances. Great author.
I was not expecting to relate to alot of the poems in this book. But I did! I'm glad I got to read this and put proper words to some of the emotions I have been feeling. I especially relate to the poems about falling in love and losing love. Great work
I really enjoyed reading this book, I love poetry book, I can legit relate, words were very well selected, I am connected to this book. Definitely an A+ 👏🏽 Thank you for creating this book. 🙏🏽
I couldn't stop reading this. It will leave you shaking. His raw emotion draws you in and leaves you wanting more. I can't say enough good things about "Handle with Care." I highly recommend it!
Apart from the fact that the author is a very talented one, Handle With Care is an example of what true art should be. I love everything about the books.
Tavon’s prose is tintilating and evocative. Keep coming back to re-read poems that really made an impact and left me rethinking my own outlook. Buenissima!
